(CALEDON, ON) – On June 12th, 2014 a resident from The Gore Road contacted the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) to report a theft of construction equipment.

The complainant reported that sometime overnight, suspect(s) attended his residence and stole a 1995 yellow WELD, model 600, tri-axle trailer which contained a mini Kubota excavator.

Police are asking anyone with information about this theft to contact Provincial Constable Rideout at 905-584-2241. You can submit information online at www.peelcrimestoppers.ca. (CALEDON, ON) – On June 12th, 2014 at approximately 4:30 pm, Airport Road homeowners returned home and located a male inside their house rummaging through a freezer. The homeowners confronted the male who stated he was inside the house looking for a friend. The male abruptly left the residence on bicycle and the homeowners contacted police.

Within minutes, officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended the area and located the suspect riding his bicycle northbound on Airport Road. The male was arrested and held in custody overnight.

Adam Glenn CARROLL, 30, of Brampton was arrested and charged with Break and Enter into a dwelling house.

He is scheduled to make an appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville later today.

(INGERSOLL, ON.) – Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating the report of a missing female from Norwich Township. Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 55 year old Karen ELSBRIE. ELSBRIE last had contact with her family on June 11, 2014 at approximately 5:00 a.m. ELSBRIE is described as:

ELSBRIE’s vehicle was located at the Highway 401 and Highway 19 car park. OPP are involved in an ongoing search in the Ingersoll area and the investigation is continuing. Police are concerned about her welfare and are actively seeking ELSBRIE or any information members of the public may have regarding her whereabouts. (TILLSONBURG, ON.) – Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a break and enter to a residence located on Fourth Street, in the Town of Tillsonburg which occurred between June 8 and June 9, 2014.

As a result of investigation and warrants executed, three firearms were recovered and four males arrested. The Smith & Wesson M&P – 223 calibre rifle remains outstanding.

William WHITCROFT, 22 years of age of Tillsonburg was charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with the following:

Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
Possession of a firearm, prohibited or restricted weapon obtained by crime
Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm/ammunition

Kyle WEATHERSTON, 25 years old of Tillsonburg was charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with the following:

Careless Use of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or Ammunition
Possession of a firearm, prohibited or restricted weapon obtained by crime
Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
Occupant of Motor Vehicle knowing there was a Firearm
Possession of Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order

Nathan MARTIN, 27 years old of Tillsonburg was charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with the following:

Careless Use of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or Ammunition
Possession of a firearm, prohibited or restricted weapon obtained by crime
Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
Occupant of Motor Vehicle knowing there was a Firearm
Possession of Firearm or ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order
Fail to Comply with Probation Order
Break & Enter a place and steal a firearm

Daniel DUNN, 29 years of age of Tillsonburg was charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with the following:

Careless Use of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or Ammunition
Possession of a firearm, prohibited or restricted weapon obtained by crime
Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
Occupant of Motor Vehicle knowing there was a Firearm

All males have been remanded into custody pending bail hearings.

The investigation is continuing.

(INGERSOLL, ON.) – The Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was called to investigate several reports of graffiti sprayed throughout The Town of Ingersoll overnight between June 6 and 7, 2014.

As a result of investigation, four arrests have been made and several charges laid.

Christopher BALKEMA, 18 years old of Ingersoll was charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with Mischief Under $5,000 – 11 counts. The male was released on a recognizance of bail.

Jacob HAMILTON, 21 years old of Ingersoll was charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with Mischief Under $5,000 – 5 counts. The male was released on an undertaking.

A 15 year old male youth of Ingersoll and a 17 year old male youth of South-West Oxford Township were both charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with Mischief Under $5,000 – 3 counts. Both young offenders were released on an undertaking.

(COLBORNE, ON) -On June 12, 2014 Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to a vacant home in Colborne where old explosives were discovered by a company contracted to clean the house.

Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Trenton was contacted and sent their Explosive Disposal Flight (EDF) unit to remove and destroy the explosives at a nearby quarry.

OPP would like to remind the public that in the event they find what appears to be old explosives, to not touch or move them, but to contact police immediately.

(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) -Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers received a theft call of a Wallenstein Wood Splitter that was stolen from a farm on 3rd Line, Town of Minto. The theft occurred sometime between June 9, 2014 12:00 p.m. and June 11, 2014 10:00 a.m. The wood splitter is described as blue and 4 years old.

(ARMOUR TWP, ON) On Wednesday June 11, 2014, the Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with members of the North East Region Crime Unit, the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), the North East Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) and Canine executed a warrant on a Chetwynd Road, Armour Township residence.

OPP officers arrested and charged 4 people within in the residence with various drug and firearm offences. Charged are;

1. Louise RUMFORD, 43 Steven E RUMFORD, 40, Steven D RUMFORD, 22 and Spencer RUMFORD, 19 all of Armour Township.

All 4 accused have been charged with possession of cannabis marihuana for the purpose of trafficking and possession of cannabis marihuana, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. Steven D RUMFORD has additionally been charged with several firearm offences contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. All of the accused except for Steven D. RUMFORD have been released from custody and are to appear in Provincial Court on July 24, 2014 in Sundridge, Ontario. Steven D. RUMFORD has been remanded into custody awaiting a bail hearing on Friday June 13, 2014 in Parry Sound, Ontario.
