MCGRAIL Arrested For Drunk Driving

(BROCKTON, ON) – On October 26, 2025, at approximately 8:50 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic hazard along Sideroad 30 N, south of Chesley.

Police were contacted by a concerned member of the public who discovered a recently damaged vehicle stopped in a live lane, with the driver slouched over behind the wheel. Officers attended and made contact with the driver; police then detected signs of impairment. The driver was taken into custody and transported for further testing.

Dominic MCGRAIL, 21-years-old, resident of Hanover, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – B.A.C. 80+, CC 320.14(1)(b)
  • Dangerous Operation, CC 320.13(1)

The accused is set to appear at the Walkerton Ontario Court of Justice on December 10, 2025, to answer to the charges.

Collision Near Brockton – Michael STEELE Arrested

(BROCKTON, ON) – On October 24, 2025, at approximately 8:11 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision along Highway 9, Municipality of Brockton.

Officers attended and located a pick-up truck which had entered the ditch. A roadside screening device was administered on the driver, resulting in a fail. The driver was subsequently taken into custody and transported for further testing.

Michael STEELE, 56-years-old, resident of Wilmot, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – B.A.C. 80+, CC 320.14(1)(b)

The accused is set to appear at the Walkerton Ontario Court of Justice on December 3, 2025, to answer to the charge.

Michael PANTE Was Arrested Again #3Strikes

(GRAVENHURST, ON) – The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Bracebridge man with impaired driving on Hallowe’en.

On October 31, 2025, at 7:45 p.m., Bracebridge OPP officers responded to a concern from a member of the public about the driving behaviour of a motorist in the area of John and Peter Streets of Gravenhurst, while many children were out trick-or-treating.  Police quickly located the vehicle on Muskoka Road South and conducted a traffic stop in a retail parking lot.

Police have charged 31-year-old Michael PANTE of Bracebridge with the following:

  • Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
  • Operation While Impaired
  • Over 80
  • Stunt Driving
  • Fail to Comply with Probation
  • Novice Driver- B.A.C. above zero

He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on November 18, 2025 to answer to his charges.

Anthony WEIDENDORF – Drunk Driving

(CALEDON, ON) – Officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid charges following a collision investigation.

On October 25, 2025, at approximately 10:00 p.m., officers responded to a report of a collision involving two vehicles on Highway 10, at County Road 109, in the Town of Caledon. The vehicle occupants suffered minor injuries as a result of the collision. During the course of the investigation, officers formed grounds that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.

Following the investigation, Anthony WEIDENDORF, 28, of Toronto, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on November 13, 2025, to answer to the charges. Additionally, the driver’s vehicle was impounded for a period of seven days, and their driver’s licence suspended for a period of 90 days.

The OPP remains committed to keeping our communities safe through enforcement and public education. Drivers who are impaired by drugs or alcohol continue to pose a significant threat on Ontario roads. Whether a driver is impaired by alcohol or drugs, impaired is impaired, and impaired driving is dangerous regardless of the source of impairment. If you suspect that someone is driving while impaired, it is important to call 9-1-1 to report it.

Daniel Myny – Drunk Driving

(TILLSONBURG, ON) – An individual from the Eden is facing impaired driving related charges following a traffic stop. 

On October 31, 2025, at approximately 1:30 a.m., the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment were conducting general patrol around Adams Avenue. A traffic stop was conducted after a vehicle was observed driving erratically.

Daniel Myny, 24-years-old, of Eden, has been charged with:

·      Operation while Impaired – Alcohol

·      Operation while Impaired – Blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Dangerous Operation

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on December 2, 2025.

Drug & Weapons Bust – Joshua BUSHER Arrested

(LAKESHORE, ON) – A Lakeshore resident has been charged in connection with a drug trafficking investigation led by the Essex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU).

On Thursday, October 30, 2025, at approximately 4:40 a.m., members of the Essex County OPP CSCU, with support from the Lambton CSCU, as well as the West Region OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), OPP Canine Unit, and RCMP Canine Unit, executed search warrants of residences in Stoney Point and St Joachim as well as two motor vehicles. 

The execution of the warrant led to the seizure of suspected cocaine, methamphetamine, amphetamine, fentanyl, Canadian currency, and various drug-related paraphernalia. In addition, officers seized knives, a conductive energy weapon and pepper spray. The estimated value of all items seized was over $12,000.00.

As a result, Joshua BUSHER, a 29-year-old of Lakeshore was charged with the following alleged offences:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine,
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine,
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking- Other Drugs
  • Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Weapon (Four Counts)

The accused was held in custody and was scheduled to appear for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor.

Craig CRAFTCHICK Was Arrested

(SUDBURY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged a driver of an All-Terrain-Vehicle (ATV) for refusal.

On Tuesday October 28, 2025, at approximately 6:45 p.m., members from the Nipissing West (Sudbury) Detachment of the OPP, conducted a traffic stop with an ATV operator who was not wearing a helmet on Skead Road, Sudbury.

The ATV operator was found to be hunting and during the conversation, an odour of an alcoholic beverage was detected. The operator was arrested for refusing to provide a breath sample.

As a result of the investigation, Craig CRAFTCHICK, 63 years-of-age, from Sudbury, was charged with,

  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand
  • Resist Peace Officer
  • Fail to wear proper helmet
  • Fail to surrender evidence of insurance
  • Fail to wear proper clothing while hunting
  • Fail to surrender permit for off-road vehicle

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Wednesday December 3, 2025, in Sudbury.

OPP officers have the legal right to demand a breath sample from any driver during a traffic stop under Mandatory Alcohol Screening (MAS), even without signs of impairment.

MAS became law in Canada on December 18, 2018, under amendments to the Criminal Code.

It allows police officers to demand a roadside breath test from any driver, regardless of whether they show signs of impairment such as slurred speech or alcohol odour.

OPP officers are legally empowered to conduct MAS during any lawful traffic stop, including routine checks for speeding, seatbelt use, or expired registration.

They do not need reasonable suspicion or probable cause to request a breath sample.

Officers must have an Approved Screening Device (ASD) on hand to administer the test.

Refusing a breath test under MAS can lead to criminal charges, license suspension, and vehicle impoundment.

MAS is not optional-once stopped, drivers must comply with the breath test request.

Cocaine & Toy Gun Bust – Billy-Joe LAVALLEE Arrested

(NIPISSING WEST, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged a driver with drug and firearms offences.

On Wednesday October 29, 2025, at approximately 8:10 p.m., members from the Nipissing West Detachment of the OPP conducted a traffic stop on Church Street, West Nipissing.

A search of the vehicle located two replica hand guns and drugs suspected to be Cocaine and fentanyl.

As a result of the investigation the driver, Billy-Joe LAVALLEE, 42 years-of-age, from West Nipissing was arrested and charged with,

  • Possession of imitation weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance- two counts

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Thursday December 4, 2025, in North Bay.

74 Year Old Careless Driver Causes Power Outage

(NORTHERN BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – On October 29, 2025, at approximately 4:30 p.m., members of the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 6, north of Hidden Valley Road in the Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula.

Upon arrival, officers located a pickup truck that had left the roadway and struck a telephone pole. The driver who was the lone occupant of the vehicle sustained minor injuries.

A 74-year-old resident of Northern Bruce Peninsula has been charged with Careless Driving under the Highway Traffic Act.

Due to the impact, hydro crews were required to attend the scene to shut off power and conduct necessary repairs to the damaged utility infrastructure.

The Grey Bruce OPP reminds all motorists to drive with care and attention at all times to ensure the safety of all road users.

Ryan SMITH – Drunk Driving

(LENNOX AND ADDINGTON COUNTY, ON) – Lennox and Addington County members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one person with impaired driving related charges overnight.

On Friday October 31, 2025, shortly after midnight, L&A County OPP members were advised of a collision involving a vehicle striking a residence on County Road 27 in the Township of Stone Mills. The collision did not cause any structural damage to the residence or any injuries. Police attended, and the driver was arrested.

 Ryan SMITH, a 29-year-old from Tamworth, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – over 80 mgs of alcohol
  • Dangerous operation

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on November 18, 2025. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was impounded.

India Caught Sending Opium To Canada – Sunil KUMAR Arrested

(OTTAWA, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit has made an arrest following a Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) seizure of suspected opium, used to produce heroin.

CBSA border services officers detected a substance which tested positive for opium while examining a shipment from India at Air Cargo Operations in Toronto. They contacted the OPP and provided information regarding the package which contained over four kilograms of the illegal drug.

On Friday, October 24, 2025, officers with the Community Street Crime Unit, assisted by members of Ottawa OPP Detachment and the CBSA, executed a search warrant at the package’s destination, which was a location on Meadowlands Drive West in Ottawa. One person was identified and later arrested.

Sunil KUMAR, age 33 of Ottawa, has been charged with:

  • Importing a Schedule 1 substance
  • Traffick in a Schedule 1 substance

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Ottawa on December 2, 2025.

18 Year Old Deceased, 16 Year Old Sent To Hospital

(GUELPH-ERAMOSA, ON) – Members of the Wellington County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a single-vehicle collision that resulted in a fatality. 

On Thursday, October 30, 2025, at approximately 4:00 p.m., OPP officers, Paramedic Services, Ornge and Fire Services responded reports of a collision on Eastview Road in Guelph-Eramosa Township.

As a result of the incident, an 18-year-old male was pronounced deceased at the scene, and a 16-year-old male was transported to a Trauma Centre in Hamilton with non-life-threatening injuries. Eastview Road between Davis Street and Jones Baseline remains closed as cleanup efforts are underway.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation, and OPP West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) Team is assisting with the investigation.

Cocaine & Meth Bust – Names Released

(ELLIOT LAKE, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested numerous people after executing a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) warrant at Tokyo Crescent residence on October 29, 2025.  

Police seized approximately 2.4 grams of suspected cocaine, approximately 36 grams of suspected Fentanyl, approximately 17 suspected Hydromorphone capsules, approximately 70 suspected methamphetamine tablets, approximately 42 suspected buprenorphine tablets, a prohibited crossbow, cash, digital scales, packaging materials, and multiple cell phones. The approximate street value of the drugs is $8,000.    

The OPP’s Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB), Emergency Response Team (ERT), and the United Chiefs and Councils of Manitoulin (UCCM) Anishnaabe Police Service Canine Unit were involved with the investigation and six people were arrested and charged with numerous offences.

Curtis BOWLES, 34-years-old, from Elliot Lake was charged with:

• Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamine

• Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine

• Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Opioid (Fentanyl)

• Fail to comply with Probation Order

Jason GUY, 40-years-old, from Elliot Lake was charged with:

• Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamine

• Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Opioid (Fentanyl)

• Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Opioid (other than heroin) 

• Unauthorized possession of weapon

Lee WESTLEY, 37-years-old, from Elliot Lake was charged with: Fail to comply with Undertaking.

Larissa RICHER, 31-years-old, from Elliot Lake was charged with: Fail to comply with Undertaking.

These accused persons are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on December 11, 2025.

Micheal MCNEELANDS, 43-years-old, from Elliot Lake was charged with:

• Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamine

• Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Opioid (Fentanyl)

• Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Opioid (other than heroin) 

• Unauthorized possession of weapon

• Failure to comply with Undertaking

This accused person was held in custody and was scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justic Bail Court in Blind River on October 30, 2025.

Paul HAMILTON, 41-years-old, from Elliot Lake had an outstanding arrest warrant from Huronia West OPP and was held in custody as a result.

Shooting Sends Two To Hospitals – SINGH, SINGH & VIRK Arrested

(DUFFERIN COUNTY) – The Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged three individuals with firearm-related offences following an investigation.

On October 29, 2025, Dufferin OPP officers responded to a local hospital where a male was being treated for gunshot wounds. During the investigation, officers determined that the incident had occurred in another jurisdiction. They also learned that a second individual had attended a Brampton-area hospital with similar injuries.

While at the hospital, officers identified a suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. During the stop, a handgun was located inside the vehicle, and the driver was taken into custody.

As a result, Loverpreet SINGH, 25-year-old, from Winnipeg has been charged with:

•      Possession of loaded prohibited or restricted firearm

•      Careless storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or ammunition

•      Unauthorized Poss of a Firearm

•      Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm

•      Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose

•      Occupant of Motor Vehicle knowing there was Firearm

•      Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition

Ramneek SINGH, 25-year-old, from Brampton has been charged with:

•      Possession of loaded prohibited or restricted firearm

•      Careless storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or ammunition

•      Unauthorized Poss of a Firearm

•      Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm

•      Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose

•      Occupant of Motor Vehicle knowing there was Firearm

Navjit VIRK, 49-year-old, from Paris has been charged with:

•     Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition

Paul STEWART Was Arrested

(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – Driver facing multiple charges after traffic stop on Highway 401.

On October 29, 2025, at 11:25 p.m., a member of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while on general patrol in the westbound lanes of Highway 401, the in the Municipality of Thames Centre, observed a suspicious vehicle, at which time a traffic stop was initiated.

The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment.

As a result, Paul STEWART, a 43-year-old of London, has been charged under the Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Operation while impaired – drugs
  • Operation While Prohibited under the Criminal Code
  • Driving while under suspension
  • Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in London on November 27, 2025, to speak to the charges.
