Erin LANGRIDGE – Drunk Driving

(BROCKTON, ON) – On December 30, 2025, at approximately 5:19 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a traffic complaint for a vehicle in the area of Bruce Road 19 and Bruce Road 4, Municipality of Brockton.

The complainant had spoken with another motorist and believed that they may be impaired. Officers patrolled the area and located the vehicle. The investigating officer spoke with the driver and detected signs of impairment. The driver was taken into custody and transported for further testing.

Erin LANGRIDGE, 60-years-old, of Guelph, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – B.A.C. 80+, CC 320.14(1)(b)

The accused is set to appear at the Walkerton Ontario Court of Justice on January 14, 2026, to answer to the charge.

Devarsh SINGH Was Arrested

(KENORA, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police Kenora detachment have made an arrest for refusal to comply with demand following a report of a motor vehicle collision earlier this morning.

On December 31, 2025, shortly after 3:30 a.m., members of the Kenora OPP attended a motor vehicle collision on Homestake Road after receiving a report that the driver was possibly impaired. Officers developed reason to believe the driver had consumed alcohol and a demand was made for the driver to provide a sample into an approved screening device. The driver refused several times to comply with the demand and was subsequently placed under arrest.

Devarsh SINGH, 21-years-old, from Toronto, Ontario has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

·      Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand

The accused’s driver licence was suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded for seven days. The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kenora on January 22, 2025 at 1:30 p.m.

Richard PENNINGTON – Drunk Driving

(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – Driver facing Impaired charge after traffic stop.

On December 29, 2025, at 6:53 p.m., a member of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while on general patrol in the Municipality of Middlesex Centre, observed a suspicious vehicle near the intersection of Richmond Street and Medway Road.

A traffic stop was initiated at which time the driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP Detachment.

As a result, Richard PENNINGTON, a 56-year-old of London has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on February 18, 2026.

Nicholas WEBER – Impaired Driving

(LONDON, ON) – American driver facing Impaired driving charge after collision on Highway 402.

On December 26, 2025, at 4:21 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to Highway 402 near Westdel Bourne in the City of London, for the report of vehicle that left the road and entered the ditch.

There were no injuries reported.

As a result, Nicholas WEBER, a 42-year-old of Saugatuck, Michigan, United States of America, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

·      Operation while impaired – Alcohol

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Dangerous Operation

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in London to speak to the charges on February 5, 2026.

Deceased Found & Identified

(NORTH BAY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has launched an investigation following the discovery of human remains in Head, Clara and Maria Township.

On Sunday, December 28, 2025, at approximately 8:00 a.m., members of the North Bay OPP Detachment responded to a report of suspected human remains discovered on North River Road, north of Cedar Lake in Head, Clara and Maria Township. The deceased individual has been identified as 26-year-old Hakeem MUHIKIRA of Ottawa.

Preliminary information suggests that there are no signs of a broader threat. Residents may notice an increased police presence in the area as the investigation continues. Further updates will be provided as new information becomes available.

This investigation is being conducted by the North Bay OPP Crime Unit under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service. Assistance has also been provided by the OPP’s Emergency Response Team, Canine Unit and Forensic Identification Services.

29 Year Old From Owen Sound Arrested

(GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – An individual from Owen Sound is facing impaired driving-related charges stemming from a single motor vehicle collision that had occurred on Somers Street, near 16th Street W, in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.

On Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at approximately 8:00 p.m., members of the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report from a citizen about a pickup truck stuck in a ditch. The citizen believed the driver was impaired. Police attended, identified the driver, and subsequently arrested them.

Corey CARDER, 29-years-old, of Owen Sound, is charged with:

  • Operation while Impaired – Alcohol
  • Operation while Impaired – 80 plus
  • Dangerous Operation

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on January 22, 2026.

John MACFADDEN – Arson

(HALIBURTON COUNTY, ON) – Members of the Haliburton Highlands Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a male with arson following an investigation into a fire on an island property in early September.

On September 10th, 2025, members of the Haliburton Highlands OPP and local emergency services personnel responded to a structure fire on Echo Island on Kawagama Lake, Township of Algonquin Highlands. The fire was determined to be suspicious in nature and members of the Haliburton Highlands Crime Unit began investigating the incident as a possible arson.

As a result of the investigation, John MACFADDEN, a 47-year-old from Bradford has been arrested and charged with:

  • Arson – Damage to Property contrary to section 434 of the Criminal Code of Canada

MACFADDEN was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Minden at a future date.

Sebastian ADAMS Was Arrested

(MIDLAND, ON) – Members of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a collision early Saturday morning that resulted in an impaired driving arrest.

On December 27, 2025 at approximately 4:48 a.m., officers were dispatched to Ontario Street near Sixth Street in Midland after a passerby reported a vehicle stuck in a snowbank and suspected the driver was impaired.

Upon arrival, officers observed a black sedan in the snowbank with a lone occupant. The individual provided conflicting accounts of who had been driving the vehicle.

During the investigation, officers determined the person was the driver and placed them under arrest for impaired operation. The accused attempted to flee on foot and actively resisted arrest before being taken into custody. At detachment, they refused to provide breath samples as required by law.

As a result of this investigation, Sebastian ADAMS, 31 years of Midland, is charged with the following offences under the Criminal Code as well as several Provincial Offences:

  • Operation While Impaired
  • Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand
  • Resist Arrest

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Midland on January 8, 2026.

Another Pedestrian Killed #ItsTime #Enough

(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – A single-vehicle collision has claimed the life of a tow truck operator.

On December 27, 2025, at approximately 9:15 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), alongside the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management & Enforcement (TIME) Team and local emergency medical services, responded to a report of a collision on Wellington Road 26 between Sideroad 27 and Sideroad 30 in Centre Wellington Township, where a motor vehicle struck a pedestrian tow truck operator who was assisting another vehicle.

A 39-year-old from Richmond Hill was transported to hospital with major-life-threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased on December 29, 2025. The driver of the vehicle was transported to a local hospital with minor-injuries.

All roadways have since re-opened.

On Saturday, December 27, 2025, at approximately 5:34 a.m., police responded to a collision on Wonderland Rd in Southwold. The motorist failed to remain on scene.

As a result of the investigation, Ajish KOTTAPPURAM MANIKANDAN, a 29 -year-old from London was charged with:

·      Operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) (Criminal Code)

·      Fail to remain (Highway Traffic Act)

·      Careless driving (Highway Traffic Act)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released on an Undertaking and scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in St. Thomas on Tuesday, January 3, 2026.

$200,000 Drug Bust

(THUNDER BAY, ON) – An individual from Scarborough is facing Criminal Code (CC) and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) charges following a drug trafficking investigation in Thunder Bay.

In the fall of 2025, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP)-led Provincial Guns and Gangs Enforcement Team (PGNG), including members from the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service (NAPS) and the Thunder Bay Police Service (TBPS), began an intelligence-led investigation into the alleged trafficking of drugs in Thunder Bay and surrounding communities.

On Monday, December 8, 2025, an individual was arrested by PGNG and the OPP Emergency Response Team in Thunder Bay near Highway 11/17 and Dawson Road.

The police investigation led to the seizure of the following items with approximate quantities:

·      230 g suspected fentanyl

·      680 g suspected cocaine

·      200 g suspected crack cocaine

·      Two cell phones

The estimated street value of the drugs seized is more than $202,500.

As a result of the investigation, Dayne Anthony Ricardo JONES, age 38 of Scarborough, has been charged with the following offences:

·      Breach of release order, s. 145(5)(a) CC

·      Possession for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine, s. 5(2) CDSA

·      Possession for the purpose of trafficking – fentanyl, s. 5(2) CDSA

The accused was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay at a later date.

MCGRATH Arrested For Drunk Driving

(LOYALIST TOWNSHIP, ON) – Lennox and Addington County members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one person with impaired driving related charges following an incident that originated in the City of Kingston.

On Sunday December 28, 2025, shortly before 1:00 a.m., L&A County OPP members were advised by Kingston Police of a vehicle that had been operating dangerously and fled from an attempted traffic stop in the city. Police attended the owner’s residence and following an investigation, located the vehicle and the driver was arrested.

Adam MCGRATH, an 18-year-old from Amherstview, was charged with:

• Operation while impaired – alcohol

• Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus

• Novice driver – BAC above zero

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on January 20, 2026. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was impounded.

Anthony DILLON Arrested Following Snowmobile Incident

(BROCKTON, ON) – On December 29, 2025, at approximately 2:53 a.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a snowmobile without lights driving in the town of Walkerton.

Officers made patrols, where they located a crashed snowmobile in the area of Bruce Road 19 and Concession 2 NDR; the operator fled on foot. Police contained the surrounding area with the assistance of OPP Canine and the West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT). The involved individual was located shortly after 6:00 a.m. and was taken into custody after a brief struggle, which included the accused grabbing the officer’s holstered firearm.

Anthony DILLON, 40-years-old, of Huron-Kinloss, was charged with:

  • Dangerous operation, CC 320.13(1)
  • Resist peace officer, CC 129(a)
  • Disarming a peace officer, CC 270.1(1)
  • Operation while prohibited, CC 320.18(1)(a) – two counts
  • Possession of a schedule I substance, CDSA 4(1)

The accused was held for a bail hearing and subsequently remanded into custody.

Officer Assaulted – Suspect Released #BrokenSystem

(GODERICH, ON) – The Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual following an incident in the Town of Goderich.

On Sunday, December 28, 2025, just before 5:00 p.m., Huron OPP officers were contacted about a dispute where an individual reportedly damaged property at an address on Lighthouse Street in Goderich. While investigating the mischief, the suspect threw liquid on an OPP officer. The accused was arrested and charged as follows:

Terrence HIGGS, 32 years-of-age of Goderich was charged with:

–      Mischief Under $5,000,

–      Assault a Peace Officer.

The accused was processed at the Huron OPP detachment, held for a bail hearing, and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on February 02, 2026.

Courtney SHAWNOO Was Arrested

(ST. CLAIR TOWNSHIP, ON) – An individual is facing numerous charges following a two-vehicle collision in St. Clair Township.

On December 21, 2025, at approximately 1:40 a.m., members of Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a collision at the intersection of Brigden Road and Plank Road in St. Clair Township.

Both drivers were transported to a hospital by Lambton County Emergency Medical Services with non-life-threatening injuries.

As a result of the investigation, Courtney SHAWNOO, 43-year-old of Plympton-Wyoming was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code and the Highway Traffic Act with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired- alcohol and drugs
  • Dangerous Operation causing bodily harm
  • Driving while under suspension (four counts)

A 45-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was held pending a bail hearing, subsequently released, and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on January 28, 2026, in Sarnia.
