Terry CLARK Was Arrested

(OXFORD COUNTY, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Oxford Detachment responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch, resulting in one person being arrested and criminally charged with impaired driving.

 On January 31, 2025, at approximately 7:15 p.m., members of Oxford OPP were dispatched to a report of a vehicle in the ditch, on the 21st Line in the Township of Zorra.

 As a result of the investigation, Terry CLARK, 64-years-old, of the Township of Zorra has been charged with:

 ·      Operation While Impaired

·      Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand

 The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on February 18, 2025.

Donald CAMPEAU – Was Arrested

(HEARST, ON) – A traffic stop in Hearst led to an impaired driving arrest and a seizure of methamphetamine tablets.

On February 2, 2025, at approximately 11:00 p.m., the James Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Fontaine Drive after observing a vehicle with an obstructed licence plate.

During the interaction, officers determined that the driver had consumed an intoxicating substance. The individual was placed under arrest and transported to the Hearst OPP detachment for further testing. A subsequent search resulted in the seizure of approximately 45 methamphetamine tablets.

As a result of the investigation, Donald CAMPEAU, 48 years of age of Hearst, has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – drugs

·        Operation while impaired – blood drug concentration

·        Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamine

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on March 5, 2025, in Hearst. In addition, the accused received a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS), and the vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

Melanie WAKEFIELD – Drunk Driving

(THUNDER BAY, ON) – A single motor vehicle collision ended with criminal charges for an impaired driver. 

On February 2nd, 2025, shortly after 10:00 p.m., a member of the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a call for service for a vehicle that had driven off the road into the ditch within the Balsam off-ramp along Highway 11-17.

Investigation determined that the driver had been consuming alcohol, and an approved screening device (ASD) test was administered. The driver failed the test and was arrested and transported to the Thunder Bay Detachment where additional breath testing was completed.    

Located outside of the driver’s side door was a bottle of Banff Ice Vodka, which was seized by officers, as pictured below.

Melanie WAKEFIELD, 40-years-old, from Thunder Bay is charged criminally with:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused had her driver’s licence suspended and the vehicle was impounded. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Thunder Bay Ontario Court of Justice on March 12, 2025, to answer to the criminal charges.

Michael GREER Arrested Again!

(SOUTH HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a South Bruce resident with a long list of offences following a truck theft on January 29, 2025, in the Municipality of South Huron. 

Just after 8:20 p.m., on Thursday, January 29, 2025, Huron County OPP officers were contacted by a complainant who reported that their 2023 Dodge pickup truck had just been stolen from a business property in South Huron.

The truck was equipped with a GPS tracking device, which led officers to the vehicle in Crediton, South Huron. A suspect was observed with the vehicle, and they were subsequently arrested at the scene.

The suspect has been charged as follows:

Michael GREER, 37 years of age from Kinloss, South Bruce has been charged with:

–      Theft of Motor Vehicle,

–      Operation while Prohibited – (four counts),

–      Possession of Prohibited Device or Ammunition,

–      Possession of Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order – (two counts),

–      Fail to Comply with Probation – (two counts).

The accused was additionally charged with offences found in the Highway Traffic Act (HTA) – Driving while Under Suspension – (three counts).

The accused was processed and held in custody for a court appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich, where they were remanded into custody.

Patrick CLOUTIER – Drunk Driving

(WEST NIPISSING, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged a driver with impaired driving offences.

On February 2, 2025, at approximately 1:10 p.m., the Nipissing West Detachment of the OPP responded to a traffic complaint of a possible impaired driver on Highway 17, West Nipissing.

The vehicle was located, and the driver was arrested for impaired driving, then transported to an OPP detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Patrick CLOUTIER, 45 years-of-age, from Azilda, was charged with, operation while impaired – alcohol, and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on March 6, 2025, in North Bay.

The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Marc-Andre POULIT Was Arrested

(SUDBURY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged a driver with both stunt and impaired driving offences.

On February 1, 2025, at approximately 1:55 p.m., the Nipissing West (Sudbury) Detachment of the OPP conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle travelling more than 50 kilometres and hour (km/h) in a posted 70 km/h zone on Maley Drive, Sudbury.

The driver was arrested for impaired driving and was transported to the OPP detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Marc-Andre POULIT, 30 years-of-age, from Sudbury, was charged with, operation while impaired – drug, and drive motor vehicle – perform stunt – excessive speed.

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on February 19, 2025, in Sudbury.

The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for fourteen days.

2 Impaired Drivers Arrested

(GREY BRUCE, ON) – On February 2, 2025, two individuals were arrested and are facing impaired driving charges after the police received traffic related complaints on their vehicles.

On January 2, 2025, at 1:44 am., the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a traffic complaint of a vehicle that was unable to maintain its lane. Officers located the vehicle on Highway 6 near the town of Durham.

Curtis Young, 30-years-old of Southgate was charged with the following:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

On February 2, 2025, at 7:10 p.m., the Grey Bruce OPP received a report of a single motor vehicle collision. Police attended and located the vehicle. The police noted that the vehicle the accused was driving was unsafe.

As a result of the investigation, James Megson, 41-years-old from Southgate was charged with:

·      Operation while Impaired – alcohol and drugs

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Dangerous operation

·      Operate unsafe vehicle

·      Improper tires

Both accused parties are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on February 20, 2025

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

3 Arrested – Details Released

(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – Three individuals were arrested after police observed a suspicious vehicle.

On January 31, 2025, at approximately 2:45 a.m., members of the Haldimand detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) located a suspicious vehicle parked at a business on Talbot Street, Cayuga.

Police spoke with the occupants and took them into custody.

As a result of the investigation, 20-year-old Kyle DECOURCEY and 28-year-old Courtney HIEBERT, both from Manvers Township have each been charged with the following offence:

  •  Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Cocaine

21-year-old Dakota MARKIE from Hamilton has been charged with the following offence:

  •  Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition

All three accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on March 18, 2025.

Sevag BOYAJIAN Was Arrested

(CRAMAHE TOWNSHIP, ON) – Members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged another driver with impaired on Highway 401.

On Saturday February 2, 2025, at approximately 1:45 a.m., police were conducting speed enforcement on Highway 401. Officers stopped a black pick-up truck after observing it travelling westbound at a higher rate of speed than the posted 110km speed limit. Upon speaking with the driver, police were led into an impaired driving investigation. An Approved Screening Device (ASD) demand was made to which the individual complied by providing a sample of their breath. With the result, the accused was taken into custody and transported to the Brighton OPP detachment for further testing. Through investigation, the driver was found to be suspended from driving and a warrant existed for their arrest.

As a result of the investigation, Sevag, BOYAJIAN (age 38) of Oshawa Ontario, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was additionally charged under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA), Liquor Licence Control Act (LLCA), and the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act (CAIA).

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on March 5, 2025.

Keegan KYLE – Drunk Driving

(HALIBURTON COUNTY, ON) – Members from the Haliburton Highlands Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a vehicle in the ditch that led to the driver being charged with impaired driving.

On January 31st, 2025, shortly after 1:32 a.m., officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision on Highway 118, between Camp White Pine Court and County Road 14, in the Municipality of Dysart et Al.  Upon arriving on scene an impaired driving investigation commenced.    

As a result of the investigation, Keegan KYLE, a 31-year-old of Algonquin Highlands was charged with:

·        Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration over 80

In addition to the charges the accused received a 90-day licence suspension, and the motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The suspect was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Minden at a later date.

Erin SIDER Was Arrested

(GRAVENHURST, ON) – Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a local woman with impaired driving.

On Sunday February 2, 2025, just after 8:00 p.m., Bracebridge OPP officers responded to a concern from a member of the public about the condition of a driver who had become stuck in a snowbank near Beaver Ridge Road in Gravenhurst. Officers attended and after an interaction with the driver of a vehicle, arrested and charged 31-year-old Erin SIDER of Gravenhurst, ON with Operation While Impaired CC 320.14(1)(a) and Over 80 CC 320.14(1)(b). She will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on February 25, 2025 to answer to her charges.

In the province of Ontario, when a driver is charged with impaired driving related offences, they have an immediate 90-day drivers license suspension imposed and their vehicle is impounded.

300 KG Cocaine Bust

(TORONTO, ON) – Five accused are facing 12 criminal charges after search warrants in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and Gravenhurst netted nearly 300 kilograms of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of approximately $29 million.

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Provincial Guns and Gangs Enforcement Team (PGNG) initiated Project SHEARWATER in September 2024 after investigators became aware of high-level drug trafficking activity. This five-month intelligence-led investigation focused on a cocaine trafficking network spanning throughout the GTA. The OPP Provincial Weapons Enforcement Unit (PWEU), Organized Crime Task Force (OCTF), OPP Central Region Community Street Crime Units (CSCU), Toronto Police Service (TPS) and York Regional Police (YRP) assisted throughout this operation.

On December 13, 2024, PGNG executed a search warrant on a residence and vehicle in Mississauga. Between January 16 and 17, 2025, the OPP-led PGNG, OPP PWEU, OPP CSCU, OCTF, as well as TPS Emergency Task Force and Durham Regional Police Service, executed five search warrants in Toronto, Ajax, Markham and Gravenhurst, and five search warrants on vehicles.

Throughout the investigation, police seized 299 kilograms of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of approximately $29 million, and more than $50,000 in Canadian currency.

The Provincial Asset Forfeiture Unit has been engaged to investigate the financial component of Project SHEARWATER.

Four of the accused have been arrested and charged with 11offences under the Criminal Code (CC) and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA). One accused is a Mexican national who was subject to an immigration warrant for removal issued by the Canada Border Services Agency.

Javier Luis MARTINEZ HERNANDEZ, age 29 of London, has been charged with the following two offences:

  •         Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000, s. 354(1) CC
  •         Possession for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine, s. 5(2) CDSA

Jason TSANG, age 40 of Markham, Sajjad WADIWALLA, age 42 of Ajax, and Philippe PAYEUR, age 48 of Toronto, have each been charged with the following three offences:

  •         Conspiracy to commit an indictable offence – trafficking cocaine, s. 465(1)(c) CC
  •         Trafficking – cocaine, s. 5(1) CDSA
  •         Possession for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine, s. 5(2) CDSA

Two of the accused remain in custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Toronto on a later date.

An arrest warrant has been issued for the fifth accused, Brian NELSON, age 38 of Toronto, who is wanted for conspiracy to commit an indictable offence – trafficking cocaine contrary to s. 465(1)(c) of the CC.

Genevieve GAGNE Was Arrested

(WEST NIPISSING, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged one person with drug related offences.

On February 1, 2025, at approximately 3:40 p.m., the Nipissing West Detachment of the OPP responded to a person passed out in a vehicle, in a local parking lot on Front Street, West Nipissing.

Police conducted a wellness check on the individual and a search of the vehicle located drugs paraphernalia, along with drugs suspected to be amphetamines, cocaine, crack cocaine and methamphetamine.

As a result of the investigation, Genevieve GAGNE, 43 years-of-age, from West Nipissing, was arrested and charged with, possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – four counts

The accused was held for Bail Court and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on February 3, 2025, in North Bay.

John KUIPERS – Drunk Driving

(SOUTHWOLD, ON) – The Elgin Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), has charged an individual following a collision investigation.

On February 2, 2025, at approximately 7:10 p.m., the Elgin OPP responded to a single-vehicle collision involving a passenger vehicle leaving the roadway and entering a ditch on Third Line near Magdala Road in the Township of Southwold.

No injuries were reported.

As a result of the investigation, John KUIPERS, a 61-year-old from Southwold was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in St. Thomas on March 11, 2025.

2 Impaired Drivers Arrested @ Collision

(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – Members from the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) entered into an impaired driving investigation following an interaction at a collision scene.

An Officer on general patrol observed what appeared to be three vehicles involved in a collision on Friday January 31, 2025 at approximately 23:58pm. Upon arriving on scene an impaired driving investigation commenced for two of the three drivers. One vehicle entered a ditch on Lifford Road in Manvers Township, another vehicle attempted to assist and entered a ditch as well. A third vehicle was called in an attempt to assist.

Tye Shestowsky, 23-year-old of Bethany, was charged with:

  • Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration over 80

Alejandro Lopez, 24-year-old of Guelph, was charged with:

  • Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration over 80
  • Having Care and Control of a Motor Vehicle with Alcohol Readily Available

In addition to the charges the drivers received 90-day licence suspensions, and the motor vehicles were impounded for 7 days.

The accused were released from custody with conditions and will appear later in court.
