Sexual Assault – Anthony ZLOT

(NORTHUMBERLAND, ON) – Members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual in relation to sexual offences in the Municipality of Port Hope.

The Northumberland OPP Crime Unit began the investigation on April 18, 2025, after receiving a report from a neighboring police service relating to alleged sexual offences. The victim was known to the accused.

On April 19, 2025, a search warrant was executed at a residence. The OPP Forensic Identification Services provided assistance with the investigation.

As a result, Anthony ZLOT, 59 years old from the Municipality of Port Hope, has been arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

–      Assault

–      Sexual interference

–      Sexual assault

–      Sexual exploitation

The accused was held for a bail hearing scheduled before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on April 19, 2025.

Student Van Vs Car Collision – 3 Sent To Hospital

(NORTH GLENGARRY, ON) – The Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Detachment of Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a collision in North Glengarry Township.

On May 7, 2025, shortly before 7:30 a.m. officers responded to a two-vehicle collision on County Road-30 involving a student transportation van and a car in North Glengarry Township.

The initial investigation found that the car collided with the bus. There were two students on the bus at the time. As a precautionary measure the driver of the school bus and students were transported to hospital. The driver of the passenger vehicle was also transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The SD&G OPP continue to investigate, with the assistance of OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) and a Collision Reconstructionist.

BAILEY Arrested For Drunk Driving

(PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY, ON) – A traffic stop has resulted in a driver being charged with impaired operation.

On May 7, 2025, at approximately 1:45 a.m., members of the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on County Road 15. Further investigation led to an Approved Screening Device being utilized, and the driver was arrested and transported to the detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Mackenzie BAILEY, age 25 from Roslin, was arrested and charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on May 28, 2025. They also had their driver’s license suspended for a period of 90 days and vehicle impounded for 7 days.

Keith LACOMBE – Drunk Driving

(LOYALIST TOWNSHIP, ON) – Lennox and Addington County Detachment members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one person with impaired driving and multiple other charges following a investigation in Loyalist Township.

On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, shortly before 11:00 p.m., L&A County OPP was contacted after a vehicle was found parked in the front yard of a residence. OPP identified the driver of the vehicle and, following an investigation, Keith LACOMBE, a 45-year-old from Loyalist Township was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – over 80 mgs of alcohol
  • Obstruct police

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on May 27, 2025. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded.

23 Year Old Arrested – Details Released

(CENTRE WELLINGTON TWP, ON) – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charges Fergus resident with stunt driving.

On May 6, 2025, at approximately 4:30 p.m., members of the Wellington County OPP Traffic Management Unit were conducting proactive traffic enforcement and observed a motor vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed, which led to a traffic stop being initiated on Bridge Street within Elora, Centre Wellington Township.

As a result of the investigation, a 23-year-old from Fergus is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Drive motor vehicle – perform stunt – excessive speed
  • Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle

Anyone charged with drive motor vehicle – perform stunt receives a 14-day vehicle impoundment and a 30-day driver’s licence suspension as per statute.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Provincial Offences Court – Guelph, at a later date.

Kory HILTS – Drunk Driving

(PUSLINCH TWP, ON) – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charge a Puslinch resident criminally, stemming from a RIDE program.

On May 7, 2025, at approximately 12:15 a.m., members of the Wellington County OPP were conducting a proactive ‘Reduced Impaired Driving Everywhere” (RIDE) program on Queen Street within Morriston, Puslinch Township, when they initiated a traffic stop on a motor vehicle to determine sobriety.

As a result of the investigation, Kory HILTS, a 34-year-old of Puslinch Township is charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Driving while under suspension

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has since been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on May 20, 2025.

James SABA – Drunk Driving

(LEAMINGTON, ON) – One person has been charged following a traffic stop in Leamington.

On May 7, 2025, at approximately 12:42 a.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) to check on the well being of a driver on Erie Street South in the Municipality of Leamington.

James SABA, 26-years-old of Leamington, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code and Cannabis Control Act offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Driving motor vehicle with cannabis readily available

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Windsor on May 23, 2025, to answer to the charges.

Two Dead Following Collision

(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – Two individuals have died as a result of a two-vehicle collision on Longwoods Road and another has sustained life-threatening injuries.

On May 6, 2025, at 8:40 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Middlesex-London Paramedic Service, and local fire, were dispatched to Longwoods Road in the Municipality of Middlesex Centre, for the report of a serious collision involving a sedan and a pickup truck.

The driver of the sedan was pronounced deceased at scene.

Two occupants within the pickup truck were transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries. As a result, one individual has since been pronounced deceased.  

The deceased identities are being withheld at this time pending next-of-kin notifications.

The OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team are at the collision scene to assist with the investigation.

The roadway is anticipated to remain closed between Brigham Road and Woodhull Road for the next few hours as the investigation continues.

Missing Person Found Deceased

(LAURENTIAN VALLEY TOWNSHIP, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment is currently investigating the discovery of human remains in the Township of Laurentian Valley.

On April 26, 2025, shortly before 3:30 p.m., the OPP was notified when human remains were discovered in the area of Paul Martin Drive by a local resident.

The remains have been identified as Diego SARRIA of Ottawa. He was reported missing in January 2023 and was 54 at the time of his disappearance. A postmortem examination has not determined the exact cause of death and further forensic testing is being conducted.

Foul play is not suspected, and investigators believe there is no threat to public safety.

The UOV OPP Crime Unit is leading the investigation, with support from the Forensic Identification Services unit, Emergency Response Team and the Canine Unit, in partnership with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.

Larissa Kim Reneigh KOKE Arrested For Drunk Driving

(BLIND RIVER, ON) – Suspended driver charged after impaired related traffic complaint.

On May 6, 2025, at approximately 12:15 a.m. the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a complaint regarding a possible impaired driver on West Street in Blind River. Police located and stopped the brown pickup truck and spoke to the driver. They were subsequently arrested and the vehicle was towed and impounded.

Larissa Kim Reneigh KOKE, 49-years-old, from Blind River was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired by alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Driving while under suspension

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on June 5, 2025.

Jeffery VALLEAU Arrested Following Collision

(Prince Edward County, ON) – A single vehicle collision has resulted in a driver being charged with impaired operation.

On May 2, 2025, at approximately 12:00 p.m., members of the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a single vehicle collision at Doxsee Road and Black Road in Prince Edward County.

 As a result of the investigation, Jeffery VALLEAU, age 45, from Prince Edward County, was arrested and charged with:

· Operation while impaired – drugs

· Possession of a schedule I substance

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on May 21, 2025. They also had their driver’s license suspended for a period of 90 days and vehicle impounded for 7 days.

Oscar AGUILAR – Drunk Driving

(ADELAIDE METCALFE, ON) – Driver facing impaired charge after traffic complaint in Adelaide Metcalfe.

On May 3, 2025, at 9:00 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), received a traffic complaint of a possible impaired driver on Centre Road in Adelaide Metcalfe.

The vehicle was located at which time a traffic stop was initiated.

The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment.

As a result, Oscar AGUILAR, a 35-year-old of Hamilton, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

·      Operation while impaired – Alcohol

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on July 14, 2025.

The Middlesex OPP wants to remind the public that if you see anything suspicious or suspect an impaired driver you should contact the Ontario Provincial Police or your nearest police authority immediately.

Caledon Weekend Update

(CALEDON, ON) – Between May 2 and May 5, 2025, officers from the Caledon Detachment of Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged four drivers for impaired operation, six for stunt driving, and laid over 160 traffic-related charges.

On May 3, 2025, shortly after 1:00 a.m., an officer responding to a traffic complaint on Highway 10, near Highpoint Side Road, located a driver and formed grounds that their ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol, leading to an arrest.

Esmeralda MELENDEZ, 27, of Tottenham, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – Blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

Shortly after 2:00 a.m. on the same day, an officer stopped a vehicle on Highway 50, near Mayfield Road, for a traffic-related violation. The investigation led to an arrest since the officer formed grounds that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol.

Fabricio SARABIA, 41, of Toronto, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – Blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

On May 4, 2025, just after 5:00 a.m., officers responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Airport Road, near King Street. The officer formed grounds that the driver’s ability was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.

Simran DHALIWAL, 22, of Hillsburgh, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – Blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

On May 5, 2025, just before 3:00 a.m., officers responded to a single vehicle collision on Innis lake Road, north of Castlederg Side Road. Grounds were formed that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol, leading to an arrest.

SUKMAN, 26, of Brampton, was charged with:

·      Failure or refusal to comply with demand

·      Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available

On May 4, 2025, shortly before 8:00 p.m., officers responding to a traffic complaint stopped a motor vehicle on Highway 9, near Highway 50. Upon stopping the vehicle, officers entered into a stolen property investigation.

As a result, Apinesh ESWARADEVAN, 20, of Toronto, was charged with:

·      Breach of recognizance

·      Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000

Abinesh GUNABALASINGAM and Jeron JESUNAYAGAM, both 18 and of Brampton, were also charged with:

·      Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000

Motorists charged with impaired operation related offences had their drivers licenses suspended for 90 days, and their vehicles impounded for seven days.

The six drivers charged with stunt driving had their licenses suspended for 30 days and their vehicles impounded for 14 days.

Tristen ARCHIBALD Was Arrested

(SOUTH PORCUPINE, ON) – A traffic complaint on Highway 101 leads to impaired charge.

On Monday, May 5, 2025, at approximately 7:30 p.m., the South Porcupine Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint on Highway 101, in Timmins.  The vehicle was located, and it was determined the driver had consumed alcohol. The driver was transported to detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Tristen ARCHIBALD, 29 years-old, of Kirkland Lake was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on Thursday, May 29, 2025, in Timmins.

Shelby BATES-SAUCIER – Drunk Driving

(SOUTH PORCUPINE, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a collision leading to an impaired charge.

On Friday May 2, 2025, at approximately 10:00 p.m., the South Porcupine OPP responded to a collision on Highway 144, Roblin Township, near Mattagami Lake Road.

The investigation revealed the driver has consumed alcohol and was transported to detachment for further testing. 

As a result, Shelby BATES-SAUCIER, 23 years-old, of Sudbury was charged with the following:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The driver was issued a 90-day Administration Driver’s Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on Monday, May 26, 2025, in Gogama.
