39 Year Old Arrested #WaitInTheTruck

(TOWN OF ERIN, ON) – An Erin resident has been charged in relation to an intimate partner violence investigation. 

On July 4, 2025, at approximately 7:00 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a report of a disturbance at an address within the Town of Erin.

As a result of the investigation, a 39-year-old of Erin is charged under the Criminal Code with one count of spousal assault.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph at a later date.

The OPP will not release names to protect the identity of the victim(s).

Jeremiah MYRE Was Arrested

(HAWKESBURY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) made a quick arrest after someone attempted to steal a vehicle from a dealership in Hawkesbury

On Monday, July 7, 2025, at approximately 2:30 a.m. officers from the Hawkesbury Detachment responded to reports of a suspicious person at the dealership on Tupper Street. An individual had just left the scene after a failed attempt to start a vehicle on the lot.

An officer spotted a vehicle leaving the area and was able to identify the driver before that person fled.

Officers located and arrested the male around 5:30 a.m. at a residence in Champlain Township.

Jeremiah MYRE, age 42, has been charged with:

  • Flight from a peace officer
  • Operation of a vehicle while prohibited under the Criminal Code.

The accused is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal today.

Nicholas YARKIE – Impaired Driving

(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) – On July 5, 2025, at approximately 10:00 p.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint of a person driving a lawn tractor down the street in the area of Dufferin Street and Nelson Street, in Palmerston.

Police arrived on scene and spoke to the operator of the lawn tractor.

As a result of the investigation, Nicholas YARKIE, 26-years-old of Palmerston, was charged with:

– Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs contrary to the Criminal Code

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice – Guelph, on July 18, 2025.

Bernadette RUTH – Drunk Driving

(NEW TECUMSETH, ON)- Members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one individual with impaired driving following a motor vehicle collision in the Town of New Tecumseth.

On June 29, 2025, shortly after 11:30 p.m., Nottawasaga OPP responded to a single vehicle driving over trees in a campground, in the Town of New Tecumseth. Officers located the vehicle and met with the driver. During the interaction, grounds were formed that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol, leading to the driver’s arrest.  

As a result of the investigation, Bernadette RUTH 55-years-old of Wasaga Beach was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford on July 31, 2025, to answer to the charge.

22 Year Old Arrested – Details Released

(CALEDON, ON) – Officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a Brampton resident with numerous offences following a traffic stop.

On July 6, 2025, shortly after 3:00 a.m., officers from the Caledon Detachment were patrolling the area of Old School Road near Torbram Road in the Town of Caledon, when a traffic stop was conducted upon a vehicle. During the course of the investigation, officers formed grounds that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol.

As a result, Raucel CASTILLO HIPOLITO, 22, of Brampton, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Novice driver – blood alcohol concentration above zero
  • Drive motor vehicle with cannabis readily available
  • Drive motor vehicle with open container of liquor
  • Driver – fail to properly wear seatbelt
  • Drive motor vehicle – perform stunt – excessive speed
  • Fail to surrender insurance card
  • Use of plate not authorized for vehicle

The driver is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on July 24, 2025, to answer to the charges. Additionally, the driver’s vehicle was impounded for a period of seven days, and their driver’s licence suspended for a period of 90 days.

Drivers who are impaired by drugs or alcohol continue to pose a significant threat on Ontario roads. Sarah HOUGH – Impaired Operation

(BRANT, ON) – On July 5, 2025, at approximately 11:00 p.m., members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint at an event on Willow Lake Road in Brant County.

Upon arrival, officers located an individual matching the description provided by the complainant. As a result of the investigation, one person was taken into custody.

Sarah HOUGH, 38 years old, from Hamilton, has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Dangerous Operation
  • Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs
  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on July 24, 2025, to answer to the charges.

Stephen Beaudrie – Assault With Weapon #3Strikes

(PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY, ON) – Members of the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged an individual after responding to a disturbance.

On Thursday July 3, 2025 around 3:30 p.m. officers responded to an incident in Picton where an individual had been assaulted and property was damaged.

Upon officers making the arrest, the individual became assaultive with police and OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) members of the OPP were called in to assist.

Stephen Beaudrie, 39, from Picton was charged with the following offences:

  • Assault with a weapon
  • Mischief under $5000 – two counts
  • Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm – four counts
  • Assaulting a peace officer – four counts
  • Fail to comply with probation order

The individual was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on July 7, 2025.

Death At Long Term Care Facility – Michelle BIGLOW Arrested

(IROQUOIS FALLS, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has arrested one person in relation to a death at a long-term care facility in the Town of Iroquois Falls. 

On Friday, May 23, 2024, the South Porcupine OPP received a report that a resident of a long-term care facility had experienced medical distress following an incident that occurred on Saturday, May 17, 2024. The 93-year-old male had been transported to a local hospital where he died on Saturday, May 24, 2024.

As a result of the investigation, Michelle BIGLOW, 62 years old of Matheson, was arrested and charged with criminal negligence causing bodily harm, contrary to section 221 of the Criminal Code.  

The investigation was conducted by the South Porcupine OPP Crime Unit under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.

Mathieu RIENDEAU Was Arrested

(TAY VALLEY TWP, ON) – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Quebec resident after recovering a stolen vehicle.

On Saturday, July 5, 2025, just before 3:30 a.m. officers on patrol on Highway 7 in Tay Valley Township had received an Automated Licence Plate Reader (ALPR) notification that a stolen vehicle had been detected. The vehicle stopped in Perth, and further investigation confirmed that the vehicle to be stolen from Collingwood. An individual was taken into custody.

Mathieu RIENDEAU, 38-years-old of Quebec, has been charged with:

·        Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000

·        Dangerous operation

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing and was remanded to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Tuesday, July 8, 2025

Mark PORTER – Assault With Weapon, Cocaine a Factor

(LANARK HIGHLANDS TWP, ON) – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges following a weapons investigation.

Lanark County OPP officers responded to an incident in Lanark Village on Saturday, July 5, 2025, just after 6:30 p.m. after a complaint was received about an individual making threats. The male fled prior to police arriving however the individual was located and arrested nearby.

As a result of the investigation Mark PORTER, 56-years-old from Lanark Highlands, has been charged with:

·        Possession of Schedule I substance – cocaine

·        Pointing a firearm

·        Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition for a dangerous purpose

·        Assault with a weapon

The accused was held for a bail hearing and was scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday July 7, 2025.

Erica ESPOSITO – Drunk Driving

(ASPHODEL-NORWOOD TOWNSHIP, ON) – Officers from the Peterborough County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual with impaired driving as a result of a R.I.D.E. check.

On July 6, 2025, just prior to 2:00am, Peterborough County OPP officers were conducting a R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) program on County Road 2 in the township of Asphodel-Norwood. Officers observed a vehicle approach the R.I.D.E. checkpoint and spoke with the driver. After a brief conversation, officers determined the driver to be under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested and then later transported to an OPP detachment for further testing where they provided samples of their breath.

Erica ESPOSITO (age 35) of Hastings, ON., was arrested and charged with;

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90-days, and their vehicle impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on August 5, 2025.

21 Year Old Arrested For Assault

(BRANT, ON) – On July 5, 2025, at approximately 10:50 p.m., members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a report of an alleged assault at a business on Rest Acres Road in Paris.

Upon arrival, officers conducted an investigation and determined that a male patron had been assaulted. A suspect matching the description provided by the victim was located nearby and taken into custody.

As a result of the investigation, Matthew FLEWELLING, 21 years old, from Brant County, has been charged with:

  • Assault

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on August 21, 2025, to answer to the charge.

Amy SWANSON – Drunk Driving

(BLIND RIVER, ON)- The East Algoma Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police lays 26th impaired charged in 2025.

On Sunday July 6, 2025, at approximately 12:00 a.m., the OPP responded to complaints of a grey SUV in a ditch on Highway 557 near Astles Road in the Town of Blind River.

During the interaction with the driver, police determined that alcohol had been consumed. As a result, the driver was arrested and transported to the Blind River detachment for further testing.

Amy SWANSON, 62 years-old from Western Springs, Illinois was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on August 7, 2025. The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension, and the involved vehicle was impounded for 7days.

Zoe LANGLOIS – Drunk Driving

(BANCROFT, ON) – Members of the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one person with impaired operation.

On Saturday, July 5, 2025, just after 7:00 p.m., Bancroft OPP Marine Unit officers were conducting patrols on Mephisto Lake when a boat was stopped to conduct a safety inspection. An approved screening device was used, and as a result the driver was transported to the detachment for further testing.

Zoe LANGLOIS, a 23-year-old resident of Osgoode Ontario, has been charged with the following:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and they are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on August 5, 2025.

The OPP wants to remind those boating on the lakes this summer that impaired operation is a criminal offense and includes when operating a vessel on the water. If charged with this offense your Ontario driver’s licence will be suspended for 90 days as it would for someone being charged in a motor vehicle.

Jordan Dixon – Drunk Driving

(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – Members from the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) entered into an impaired driving investigation after receiving a traffic complaint for driving behaviour.

On Saturday July 05, 2025 at approximately 9:04 pm officers responded to a traffic complaint regarding a motor vehicle northbound on Highway 35 south of Highway 7. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle in Lindsay and entered into an impaired driving investigation. The driver was arrested and charged with impaired driving related charges as well as Highway Traffic Act Offences.

Jordan Dixon, 34-year-old of Ajax, was charged with:

  • Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs
  • Careless Driving
  • Drive Motor Vehicle, No Currently Validated Permit

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date. The motor vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days and drivers license was suspended for 90 days.
