Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were attending a residence and upon returning to the ambulance, discovered that it had been taken. The vehicle was recovered a short time later at another location in town and was found unoccupied.

The OPP Canine Unit (K9) attended to assist officers in the investigation and no individuals were located in connection with the incident. Officers are following lines of inquiry, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Emergency vehicles are critical public assets, and their misuse directly affects the ability of paramedics to respond to life-threatening situations. Incidents like this not only disrupt emergency services but also jeopardize patient care and public safety across the wider community. The Ontario Provincial Police reminds the public that interfering with emergency operations can have serious consequences for everyone.
