Wheelie Leads To Charge For 22 Year Old

(TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON, ON) - On Wednesday June 19, 2019, at approximately 8:55 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was on general patrol travelling westbound on Wellington Road 18 when he observed a 2017 off-road motorcycle travelling eastbound. The officer heard the engine rev and observed the driver lift the front tire off the ground and proceed down the roadway on one tire for a brief period of time.

25-year-old Jesse WALSH of Wellington North Township has been charged with Drive a Motor Vehicle While Performing a Stunt contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and is scheduled to appear in Guelph Provincial Offences Court on September 4, 2019. The driver's licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.
