CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) - On Monday January 7, 2019 at approximately 1:45 p.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a shoplifting incident at Zehrs in Fergus.
Investigation revealed that the loss prevention officer observed a male on video surveillance conceal items under his clothing and proceeded to leave the store without making an effort to pay for the property. The male was taken into custody and returned to the store.
54-year-old Michael PRONK of Elora has been charged with Theft under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on February 8, 2019 to answer to the charge.
