(BURK’S FALLS, ON) On Thursday, June 12, 2014 the Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated the theft of gas from the Burk’s Falls Shell. At 8:50 a.m., a male attended the Shell station and put $50 worth of gas into a beige GMC Envoy before leaving the station without paying for it.
OPP through their investigation was able to determine that the vehicle was stolen from a taxi company in Sudbury, Ontario earlier that day. OPP are looking for a male Caucasian, between 18-20 years, clean cut and was wearing camouflage pajama pants and a white sweater at the time.
OPP are still searching for the vehicle and any person with information regarding the person(s) responsible for this theft should immediately contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122 or should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.â€Â
