(Cavan Monaghan Township, ON) – On Tuesday May 27, at approximately 2:00 p.m., members of the Peterborough County OPP were called to investigate a report of a fire at a barn on Sharpe Line.
Police and members of the Cavan Monaghan Fire Department were called the scene of a fire inside on out building on private property. The fire was extinguished with mi9nimal damage to the structure.
An investigation was initiated into the cause of the fire as it has been deemed to be suspicious in nature.
The Fire Marshalls office has not been called into assist with the investigation. Members of the Peterborough County Crime Unit, with the Fire Department are continuing their investigation into the incident.
