The Owen Sound Police Service has a requirement for a S.T.O.P. Student to work alongside the Community Services Officer in a fulltime capacity for an 8-week period during July and August, 2014. The student will gain experience in various aspects of Policing and be responsible for project development, implementation, administrative functions and supervision over another student program.
To be considered for this position the applicant must be between 16 and 30 years of age at the start of employment; have been registered as a full-time student in the previous academic year and intend to return to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year; be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident legally entitled to work in Canada; demonstrate initiative and leadership skills; possess a valid class “G2†(have held G2 for longer than 6 months) or a Gâ€Â†driver’s licence; be of good moral character and habits; and have no criminal convictions for which a pardon has not been granted.
