(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) – On May 2, 2014 at approximately 3:44 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a serious motor vehicle collision on Wellington Road 29 near Wellington Road 22, Guelph-Eramosa Township. A 2010 BMW was southbound and lost control in a 50 km/h zone and entered the ditch. The two passengers sustained non-life threatening injuries and were taken to a local hospital by Guelph-Wellington Emergency Medical Services. The male driver was arrested at the scene.
Thomas TIMMINGS age 25 of Guelph-Eramosa Township has been charged with;
-Drive While Ability Impaired Cause Bodily Harm -Criminal Code (C.C.)
-Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle Cause Bodily Harm X 2 -C.C.
-Over 80 Cause Bodily Harm-C.C.
The Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and his motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.
He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on May 23, 2014 to answer to the charges.
