PROPANE DELIVERY DRIVER CHARGED

(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – On May 5, 2014 the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call regarding a single motor vehicle collision involving a propane delivery truck. The truck had slid into a ditch and struck a tree.

A short time later an OPP officer arrived on the scene on Camp Street in the former Fenelon Township with in the City of Kawartha Lakes. When the officer arrived the truck had been removed from the ditch. There was damage to the truck and tire tracks in the muddy ditch. Further investigation revealed that the driver had consumed alcohol.

As a result of the investigation James SULYMA, 63 years of age, of Lindsay was charged with care or control while impaired and care or control over 80 milligrams, contrary to the Criminal Code. The licence of the accused was suspended for 90 days.

The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, on May 22, 2014.
