OPP OFFICERS OBSERVE DRUG DEAL

(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) – On June 6, 2014 at approximately 11:10 a.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Street Crime Unit (SCU) were monitoring a property on Highway 6, north of the City Limits in Guelph/Eramosa Township. Officers observed a male party leave that location on a bicycle and observed him a short time later in a parking lot of a business, in the City of Guelph, involved in what officers believed to be a drug deal with another male.

Officers arrested the two males and subsequently seized a quantity of methamphetamine, marihuana and cash.

Jonathon BARBER aged 38 of no fixed address has been charged with Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Marihuana contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and was held for a Bail Hearing.

Christian KASTOR aged 34 of Guelph has been charged with Possession of Methamphetamine contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Court on July 22, 2014 to answer to the charge.
