OPP LOOKING FOR HELP TO IDENTIFY DRIVER OF FAIL TO REMAIN

(ELLIOT LAKE, ON) – The East Algoma detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is asking for help to identify the driver of a fail to remain collision involving pedestrian.

On May 27, 2014 at 5:20 p.m. police received a call of a collision involving a pedestrian and a motor vehicle on Hillside Drive north in Elliot Lake. When officers arrived they learned that a male pedestrian was crossing Hillside Drive North near Spruce Avenue when a vehicle travelling southbound on Hillside struck him and immediately left the scene. The suspect vehicle is described as an older dull black or burgundy boxy looking vehicle.

The pedestrian was transported to hospital by ambulance where he was treated for minor injuries and released.
