(HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – On Wednesday May 21, 2014 Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended to a residence in Hamilton Township for a report of a break, enter and theft that occurred sometime during the day.
A residence on Burnham Street North had been entered sometime between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm while the 19 year old male responsible for the home was away at work. He was housesitting while the owners were away on vacation. He did not notice anything at first when he arrived home, but upon passing a bedroom found it to be ransacked and then also found other items in the home were missing. He went to the neighbours who contacted OPP.
An unknown quantity or value of assorted jewellery, an Xbox 360, an HP laptop computer and some of the victim’s personal identification were stolen.
OPP continue to investigate.
