(CALEDON, ON) – On May 16, 2014 shortly after 11 pm, officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to investigate a single motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Old Church Road and The Gore Road. The officers located a Subaru Impreza that had collided with a pole near the intersection.
Upon speaking with the driver, the officers immediately detected a strong odour of alcohol on his breath. The male was arrested and he was transported by ambulance to the hospital due to a back and neck injury. Once cleared from hospital, the driver was transported to Detachment to determine the blood alcohol level in his system.
In conclusion, Aaron GALLE, 20, of Caledon was arrested and charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Operate Motor Vehicle Over 80.
The Administrative Drivers’ Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and his motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.
The accused is scheduled to make his first appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on June 5, 2014.
