(LAKE OF BAYS, ON) On Saturday June 7, 2014 just after 7:00pm Huntsville Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision on Fox Point Rd in Lake of Bays Twp. Information was that a Dodge Dakota was traveling toward Hwy #35 and lost control on a curve putting the pickup truck into the bushes, taking out trees along the way.
Investigation found that the driver had been drinking at the time of the crash. Further investigation found that the driver at the time of the crash was not the driver when they left a cottage in the area, a short time earlier.
As a result both Philip KISS (21yrs) of Burlington, Ontario and Cooper RUSH (20yrs) of Oakville, Ontario were both charged with Impaired Driving and having more than 80mgs of alcohol per 100mtrs of blood. They will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Huntsville on July 16, 2014 to answer to their charges.
