MORE CHARGES LAID IN THE ILLEGAL SALE OF ALCOHOL

(SIOUX LOOKOUT, ON) The Sioux Lookout Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged two individuals with the illegal sale of alcohol following two separate incidents.

Earlier in the month of May, officers investigated an assault occurrence where alcohol was a factor and some of the persons involved in the incident were under the legal age to consume liquor. A subsequent investigation into where the source of the alcohol came from was launched, and as a result, police have charged 22 year old Terry LEGROS of Sioux Lookout with unlawfully selling liquor and supplying liquor to a person under 19 years of age. LEGROS will appear in Provincial Offences Court on July 10, in Sioux Lookout.

More recently, during the morning of Friday May 30, officers on patrol on Front Street observed some suspicious activity in front of the Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO) store. While monitoring some store patrons, officers observed an exchange of money for liquor. It was then confirmed the accused had completed the transaction and made a profit for his efforts. 42 year old Chris KOOSTACHIN of Deer Lake, Ontario has been charged with one count of unlawfully selling liquor. KOOSTACHIN was served a summons and will appear in Sioux Lookout Provincial Offences Court on July 10, 2014.
