(MIDDLESEX COUNTY, ON)- On Monday May 19, 2014 at 02:41 a.m. members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on HWY 402 at Hickory Drive located in the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc. At the time of the stop police confirmed that the driver had been drinking. A roadside screening test was administered and the driver registered a “FAILâ€Â. The driver was placed under arrest at the scene and transported to the Strathroy OPP detachment for further tests.
As a result of an investigation police have charged Joseph CZERNAI, age 47 of Strathroy, ON with Driving with More than 80 mgs. of Alcohol in Blood as per Section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear (PTA) and is scheduled to appear in a London court room on June 24, 2014 to speak to the charges.
