(THUNDER BAY, ON) – On May 28, 2014 Drug Enforcement Officers of the Combined Forces Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a Mercier Street residence in Thunder Bay.
As a result of the investigation 52-year-old Gilbert Mark NOWEGEJICK of Thunder Bay, 54-year-old Timothy ESQUEGA of Jacques Township and 43-year-old Colleen NAGOTCHI of Jacques Township were arrested and charged with three offences contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act:
1) Possession of Oxycodone for the Purpose of Trafficking
2) Possession of Methadone for the Purpose of Trafficking
3) Trafficking in Oxycodone
NOWEGEJICK was also charged with Breaching Firearms Regulations and Possession of Property obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
Police investigators seized a total 152 – 5mg tablets of Oxycodone with a street value of $6080, 200ml of Methadone with a street value of $800, $20070 in Canadian Currency
and a 2004 Ford F250 pick up truck.
The Combined Forces Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau consists of members from the Ontario Provincial Police – Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, the Thunder Bay Police Service, the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service and the Anishnabek Police Service.
