(LONDON, ON) – A male driver has lost his licence and his vehicle has been impounded for driving too fast.
On June 6, 2014 at approximately 11:47 p.m. an officer with the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was on patrol on Highway 401 in the City of London when a vehicle was observed travelling at an extremely high rate of speed. The officer measured the speed to be in excess of 150 km/h in a posted 100 km/h zone. Police conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle.
As a result of the investigation, Jacob BEER, age 20 of London, ON was charged under the stunt drive legislation and his vehicle has been impounded and licence suspended for seven days. The accused was released by way of a Part III Summons to appear in a London traffic courtroom on July 14, 2014 to answer to the charge.
