(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – On May 7, 2014 at approximately
7:08 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers received a driving complaint about a 2005 Chevrolet driving in an unsafe manner. The vehicle was southbound on Highway 6 near Side Road 15, Centre Wellington Township when the driving complaint was received. It was located by officers parked in a municipal parking lot on St. Andrew Street West, Fergus. Officers spoke with the female who was sitting in the driver’s seat and determined she had consumed alcohol. She was arrested and transported to the Centre Wellington Operations Centre for further testing.
The Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and her motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.
Monika ZIEBA age 41 of Fergus has been charged with Care or Control while Impaired, and Care or Control Over 80 mgs contrary to the Criminal Code. She is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on May 23, 2014 to answer to the charges.
