CANADA ROAD SAFETY WEEK CONCLUDES WITH NUMEROUS CHARGES

Members of Central Hastings O.P.P participated in the national traffic safety initiative, “Canada Road Safety Week” from May 13, 2014 to May 19, 2014. As a result officers laid 96 speeding, 10 distracted driving, 3 fail to wear seatbelt, 2 follow too closely, 1 fail to stop for emergency vehicle and 1 careless driving charge.

The campaign aimed at ensuring Canada’s roads remain one of the safest in the world is designed to remind people that an essential part of the enforcement job is to save lives and reduce injuries on our roadways.
