(NAPANEE, ON) The Napanee Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to report of a break, enter and theft to several out buildings and their vehicles tampered with in the 3000 block of County Rd 8, in Greater Napanee.
The break in and theft is believed to have occurred sometime overnight on the 13th of May 2014.
The following property was reported stolen:
– Chain Saw – Power Mac 55cc
– Chain Saw – Poulin Pro 46 cc
– Chain Saw – Pioneer Farm Saw 65 cc with 24 inch bar
– Chain Saw – Poulin 33 cc with 14 inch bar
– Battery from a 3 wheeler
– 2 genuine leather jackets – (no further description available at time of this release)
Unknown person(s) found the keys to blue Dodge Caravan and moved it from its original parking place and then returned it. The entire vehicle contents had been gone through and the rear seats were pushed forward. The centre console of the caravan with assorted change and a pair of gloves was taken as well.
Several other vehicles in the 3000 block of County Rd 8 were also reported to have been gone through.
OPP would also ask that citizens “Lock it or Lose itâ€Â. Locking your vehicle doors discourages theft of contents of your vehicle. Please don’t leave valuables (cell phones, electronics, wallets, purses, etc.) in the vehicle.
