(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On Monday, May 26, 2014 at approximately 7:13 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a black bear sighting on Balmy Beach Road in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.
The baby black bear was observed walking across the caller’s front lawn early this morning.
The Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) was notified.
This incident is a good opportunity to remind people to be “Bear Wiseâ€Â. Most bear problems can be averted by removing or controlling things known to attract bears like bird/ pet food, garbage and smells like grease and food residue on barbeques.
