(Prince Edward County, ON)â€â€On June 02, 2014 officers with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Prince Edward County detachment had an increased presence at the Sandbanks Provincial Park during “Skip Day†where thousands of area high school students had attended the beach. The OPP assisted Park Enforcement Officers in identifying and investigating violations and ensuring public safety.
The OPP conducted a RIDE check located at County Road 12, Sandbanks. At 4:30pm OPP stopped a motor vehicle. The male driver appeared to have been consuming alcohol. 18-year old, Quinton LOVE of Belleville was arrested for Operation With Over 80mgs. of Alcohol, contrary to Section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was later released from police custody on a promise to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Picton on June 25, 2014.
