Shirzad AJIR – Sexual Assault

(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – Individual charged after sex assault investigation in Middlesex Centre.

On August 19, 2025, members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to an address in Middlesex Centre for the report of a sex assault.

The Middlesex County OPP Crime Unit assisted with the investigation.

The victim and accused were known to each other.

As a result, Shirzad AJIR a 47-year-old of London, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

·      Sexual Exploitation

·      Sexual Assault

The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on November 3, 2025.

It is suspected there may be more victims.

Manhunt Over After Serious Sexual Assault

(RENFREW, ON) – An arrest has been made in a recent serious sexual assault in Renfrew.

On Thursday, August 28, 2025, a woman reported that she had been held against her will and sexually assaulted. The woman also indicated that the male, who was known to her, was in possession of a handgun.

The incident prompted a massive search of the area by members of the Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the OPP Emergency Response Team, the Canine Unit and the Tactics and Rescue Unit. A shelter in place was issued for the immediate area until officers determined that the male had fled.

On Tuesday, September 9, 2025, the 28-year-old male was located and arrested by Ottawa Police and was transported to the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke. There he was officially charged with:

  • Assault
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Sexual assault
  • Forcible confinement
  • Overcoming resistance by attempting to choke, suffocate or strangle
  • Pointing a firearm
  • Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm – two counts
  • Criminal harassment – threatening conduct
  • Intimidation
  • Intimidation – uses threats of violence
  • Mischief
  • Obstruct a peace officer
  • Fail to comply with a release order – two counts

The identity of the accused cannot be released in order to protect the identity of the victim.

The accused remains in custody, with a bail hearing scheduled to continue in Pembroke on September 26, 2025.

Public Safety Warning: Renfrew Rapist At Large – Armed And Dangerous

(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a serious assault in Renfrew.

On Thursday, August 28, 2025, a woman attended a local hospital and reported that she had been held against her will and sexually assaulted at a motel on Stewart Street. The woman also indicated the male, who is known to her, was in possession of a handgun.

The male had already left the motel but was later spotted walking in the area. Officers attempted the take him into custody, but the male fled onto the Algonquin Trail.

Additional officers, including members of the Renfrew Detachment, the OPP Emergency Response Team, the Canine Unit and the Tactics and Rescue Unit converged on the area to expand the search.

While there was believed to be no threat to the general public, a shelter in place was issued just after 9:00 p.m. for the area, out of an abundance of caution.

The extensive search continued throughout the evening, but it appeared the male had managed to flee from the area. The shelter in place was lifted shortly before 1:00 a.m.

The male has been identified, and an arrest warrant is being sought. The male is described as Black, 5’9″ to 6′ (175-183 cm) tall, with hair on the top of his head and the sides are shaved. He has a goatee and a five-star tattoo above his left eyebrow and another tattoo under his left eye. He was last seen wearing a purple plaid jacket, and possibly black shorts and a blue shirt.

If you see this individual or see any suspicious activity in the area, call 9-1-1 immediately. Do not approach. This male is urged to contact the Renfrew OPP to turn himself in.

Manubhai PATEL – Sexual Assault

(ELLIOT LAKE, ON) – Police arrested a man in Elliot Lake after a reported sexual assault.

On August 10, 2025, at approximately 11:15 a.m. the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called regarding a sexual assault that occurred in a park area adjacent to Ste Camillus Crescent.

Earlier that morning, a person was approached by an older male with a cane, who offered the person money for sex. The male then proceeded to touch the person inappropriately before they ran away.   

Manubhai PATEL, 73-years-old, from Elliot Lake, was later arrested and charged with – Sexual Assault.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on October 9, 2025.

Alveen AHMED – Sexual Assault

(BRANT COUNTY, ON) – One individual is facing Criminal Code charges following a sexual assault investigation.

On Thursday, July 24, 2025, members of the Brant County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested an individual in relation to an ongoing sexual assault investigation that occurred in January 2025 in Brant County.

As a result of the investigation, Alveen AHMED, age 28, was charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Sexual assault, section 271
  • Assault, section 265
  • Forcible confinement, section 279(2)

The accused was remanded into custody for a bail hearing and subsequently released. They are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on a later date.  

A publication ban has been issued and as a result, the OPP will not be able to release further information.

Child Sexually Assaulted – Christopher CHUMKO Arrested #WaitInTheTruck

(ESSEX COUNTY, ON)- The Essex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have recently laid charges in relation to a sexual assault investigation.

On July 9, 2025, Essex County OPP began an investigation into a report of a sexual assault.

As a result of the investigation by the Essex County OPP Crime Unit, on July 10, 2025, Christopher CHUMKO, 46 years old of Amherstburg was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

·        Sexual Assault on a Person Under 16 years of age

·        Sexual Interference

The accused was held pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor.

UPDATE: 8 Year Old Found Seriously Injured – Sexual Assault & Murder Charge Laid #DeathPenalty

(QUADEVILLE, ON) – An individual has been charged with attempted murder in connection with an attack on a child in Quadeville, southeast of Barry’s Bay.

On Tuesday, June 24, 2025, shortly after 9:00 p.m., officers with the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), OPP Emergency Response Team and Canine Units responded to a report of a missing child in Quadeville.

The OPP Canine Unit located the eight-year-old child just before 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. The child, who sustained life-threatening injuries, was transported to hospital, and remains under the care of medical professionals.

During the investigation, the cause of the victim’s injuries was unclear. While early evidence suggested a possible animal attack, investigators did not rule out human involvement. To aid in the investigation, multiple pathology experts were consulted. While the incident is still under investigation, recent testing of samples taken from the victim’s wounds has now revealed no traces of animal DNA.

As a result of the ongoing investigation, on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, a 17-year-old male from eastern Ontario was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Attempt to commit murder – section 239(1)(b)
  • Sexual assault with a weapon on a person under 16 years old – section 272(1)(a)

The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.

As the accused is a youth, the OPP cannot release the name or any other personal details, under the terms of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The OPP acknowledges the community’s concerns regarding this incident and sincerely appreciates the public’s patience as the investigation progresses.

The OPP is planning to hold a townhall meeting on Saturday, July 12, 2025, in Quadeville to address questions and concerns from local residents. Further information will be shared as more information about time and location become available.

The investigation is being led by the UOV OPP Crime Unit, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, with assistance from multiple OPP units including the Emergency Response Team, Canine Units, Regional Support Team, Forensic Identification Services and front-line officers from multiple detachments.

Brian BAXTER – Child Sexual Assault

(PEMBROKE, ON) -The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has arrested an individual in connection with multiple sexual offences in Pembroke.

In early June, the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Crime Unit launched an investigation following allegations that a Pembroke resident engaged in inappropriate sexual conduct involving youth under the age of 16.

On Thursday, July 3, 2025, as a result of the investigation, Brian BAXTER, age 75 of Pembroke, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Sexual Interference – two counts
  • Sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age – two counts

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on Tuesday, July 8, 2025.

Child Sexually Assaulted – Remington Puopolo Arrested Again #3Strikes

The Toronto Police Service is making the public aware of an arrest made in a Sexual Assault Investigation. 

On Saturday, May 17, 2025, police responded to a call for a Sexual Assault in the Yonge Street and Dundas Street area.

It is alleged that:

  • the victim, a child, was in a corridor leading to the washrooms inside a mall
  • the suspect approached the victim and attempted to initiate a conversation
  • the suspect then sexually assaulted the victim
  • the victim ran to their friends for help
  • the suspect fled the area

On Tuesday, May 20, 2025, Remington Puopolo, 40, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

  1. Sexual Interference
  2. Fail to Comply with a Release Order
  3. Fail to Comply with a Probation Order
  4. Breach of Recognizance

He was scheduled to appear in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., in room 301.

Sexual Assault, Minor Injuries – Suspect At Large

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a report of a sexual assault in Kitchener.

On May 20, 2025, at approximately 2 a.m., a female was sexually assaulted at an establishment in the area of Queen Street South and Charles Street East.

The victim sustained minor injuries as a result of the incident.

The suspect is described as a Black male wearing a green shirt and pants.

The investigation is ongoing by WRPS’ Major Crime Unit.

Sexual Assault – Anthony ZLOT

(NORTHUMBERLAND, ON) – Members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual in relation to sexual offences in the Municipality of Port Hope.

The Northumberland OPP Crime Unit began the investigation on April 18, 2025, after receiving a report from a neighboring police service relating to alleged sexual offences. The victim was known to the accused.

On April 19, 2025, a search warrant was executed at a residence. The OPP Forensic Identification Services provided assistance with the investigation.

As a result, Anthony ZLOT, 59 years old from the Municipality of Port Hope, has been arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

–      Assault

–      Sexual interference

–      Sexual assault

–      Sexual exploitation

The accused was held for a bail hearing scheduled before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on April 19, 2025.

(SOUTH HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested one individual in connection with a sexual assault that occurred in the Municipality of South Huron.

(CENTRE WELLINGTON, ON) – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have recently laid charges in relation to a sexual assault investigation. On May 2, 2024, the Wellington County OPP began an investigation into a report of a sexual offence that occurred between an employee and a young person at a community living residence on Irvine Street, Centre Wellington.    

As a result of the investigation, on April 9, 2025, Jennifer DEAN, 24 years old of Rockwood was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
