Paul Neill LANZ – Rape

(TOWN OF WASAGA BEACH, ON) – The Huronia West Detachment Major Crime Unit of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual in relation to a historical sexual assault.

On April 2, 2024, an investigation began after a victim reported a sexual assault that occurred at Stayner Collegiate Institute between 1978-1979. At the time, the accused was a teacher.

As a result of the investigation, Paul Neill LANZ, 77-year-old of Clearview Township, was charged with:

• Adult Rape

• Adult Sexual Intercourse with a female between 14 and 16 years of age

The accused is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood on December 17, 2024, to answer to the charges.

Rape Facilitator Arrested – Name Released – Mugshot Withheld #EndTheAbuse

LONDON, ON (April 4, 2024) – A London man is facing charges following an investigation by the London Police Service Human Trafficking Unit.

In early July of 2023, a woman was contacted in relation to sexual services she had advertised online. A suspect male agreed to meet the woman at an agreed-upon location in relation to the services advertised.

A short time after their initial interaction, the suspect male befriended the woman and invited her to stay with him at his residence. The man isolated the woman from friends and family, controlled access to her money and began arranging sexual interactions between her and other men.

In December of 2023, the suspect male rented a room at a hotel in the south end of the city and demanded the woman provide sexual services that she had not agreed upon. The suspect male sexually assaulted the woman and left the room.

In early February of 2024, the victim contacted the London Police Service, and members of the Human Trafficking Unit commenced an investigation.

On Wednesday April 3, 2024, at approximately 9:30 a.m., the suspect was arrested.

As a result of the investigation, Malcom Thomas Ferguson, 39, of London, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Obtain sexual services for consideration;
  • Material benefit from sexual services;
  • Exercise control;
  • Sexual assault;
  • Forcible confinement; and,
  • Criminal harassment by repeated communication.

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to re-appear in London court today in relation to the charges.
