Connor BOUILLON Was Arrested

(ESPANOLA, ON) – One person has been charged with impaired operation as a result of a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) check on Highway 6 in Espanola.

On December 7, 2024, at approximately 12:00 a.m., the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting a RIDE check on Highway 6 in Espanola. A vehicle came through the RIDE, and officers detected an odour of alcohol coming from the driver. Further testing on scene resulted in the driver being arrested for impaired operation.

As a result, the driver, Connor BOUILLON, 23-years-old from Espanola, was charged with:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Fail to surrender licence

·      Fail to surrender insurance card

·      No mudguards

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Espanola on January 6, 2025.

Huron East Resident Arrested – Details Released

(BLUEWATER, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Huron East resident with criminal driving offences following a collision on December 14th, 2024, in the Municipality of Bluewater. 

Just after 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 14th, 2024, Huron County OPP officers received a complaint on Lidderdale Street in Bayfield about a vehicle that had damaged a fence with a suspected impaired driver. Officers arrived on scene shortly after and spoke to the driver. Officers determined that the driver’s ability to operate the motor vehicle was impaired.

The driver was arrested for impaired operation and transported to the Huron OPP detachment in Clinton where they provided breath samples before a qualified Intoxilyzer Breath Technician. Breath samples were provided to police which resulted in readings over the legal limit.

Timothy RODGERS, 55 years of age from Huron East has been charged with:

–      Operation while Impaired – alcohol and drugs,

–      Operation while Impaired – Over 80,

–      Dangerous Operation.

The accused was additionally charged with an offence under the Liquor Licence Control Act (LLCA).

The involved vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days, and the accused’ driver’s license was suspended for a period of 90 days.

The accused was later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on January 6th, 2025.

Jason CHEETHAM Was Arrested – Details Released

(BRACEBRIDGE, ON) – Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged another person with Impaired Driving in Bracebridge.

On December 21, 2024 at 10:15 p.m., Bracebridge OPP officers responded to a concern from a member of the pubic about the well-being of a driver in a vehicle that was stopped near Pine Street in Bracebridge. As a result of their investigation, police arrested and charged 46-year-old Jason CHEETHAM of Bracebridge, ON with  Operation while Impaired- Drug CC 320.14(1)(a), Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Opioid CDSA 4(1) and Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Cocaine CDSA 4(1). He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on February 4, 2025 to answer to his charges.

Steven LOVIE – Impaired Operation

(CENTRAL ELGIN, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), West Region Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team arrested an impaired driver at a Festive Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) checkpoint.

On December 22, 2024, members of the OPP TIME team were conducting a RIDE checkpoint on Caesar Road near Avon Drive, Municipality of Central Elgin. At approximately 11:00 a.m., police stopped a passenger vehicle and checked for driver sobriety.

As a result of the investigation, the driver was taken into custody and transported to the Elgin OPP, St. Thomas Detachment, for further testing by a Drug Recognition Evaluator (DRE).

Steven LOVIE, a 53-year-old from Woodstock was charged with the following:

·        Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in St. Thomas on January 21, 2025.

Tyler PILON – Impaired Operation

(SUDBURY, ON) – After police received multiple traffic complaints, one person has been arrested and charged with impaired driving.

On December 15, 2024, at approximately 10:45 a.m., the Nipissing West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received multiple traffic complaints about a vehicle, driving through red lights and passing vehicles on the shoulder on Highway 17, Sudbury.

The vehicle was located, and the driver was arrested for impaired driving. As a result of the investigation, Tyler PILON, 28 years-of-age, from Markstay-Warren, was charged with, operation while impaired – drugs and dangerous operation.

The accused was release and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on January 8, 2025, in Sudbury.

The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Luis MESQUITA – Cocaine, Impaired Operation

(BRACEBRIDGE, ON) – Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has taken another impaired driver off of the roads in Bracebridge.

On December 16, 2024 just after midnight, a Bracebridge OPP officer was out conducting proactive patrols on Wellington Street in Bracebridge, ON and conducted a traffic stop after noticing some deficiencies on a vehicle. As a result of the investigation, police arrested and charged 22-year-old Luis MESQUITA of Bracebridge, ON with Impaired Operation CC 320.14(1)(a), Over 80 CC 320.14(1)(b) and Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Cocaine CDSA 4(1). He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on January 21, 2025 to answer to his charges.

Tyler RUNCIMAN – Impaired Operation

(MUNICIPALITY OF TRENT HILLS, ON) – The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has arrested and charged an impaired driver who was also prohibited.

On December 5, 2024, at around 12:30 a.m., police responded to a complaint regarding a suspected impaired driver in the area of Front Street North in Campbellford.

Officers arrived at the location and spoke with the driver of a pickup truck matching the description provided in the report. Officers entered into an impaired operation investigation which resulted in the accused being arrested and transported to a local detachment for further tests.

As a result, Tyler RUNCIMAN (age 29) from the Municipality of Trent Hills, has been charged with:

–       Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

–       Operation while prohibited.

In addition to a future court date, a further three-day licence suspension and a 45-day vehicle impound was initiated.

Sahil CHADHA Facing Numerous Charges

(CENTRE WELLINGTON, ON) – On December 8, 2024, at approximately 6:30 p.m. members from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Wellington County Detachment attended the scene of a single motor vehicle collision on Wellington Road 7, Nichol Township.

As a result of the investigation, Sahil CHADHA, 27 years-old of Brampton, was charged with:

  • Operation While Impaired – alcohol and drugs contrary to the Criminal Code
  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand contrary to the Criminal Code
  • Driver fail to surrender licence contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
  • Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
  • Fail to properly wear seatbelt contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
  • Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor contrary to the Liquor licence and Control Act
  • Drive motor vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available contrary to the Cannabis Control Act
  • Fail to surrender insurance card contrary to the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice – Guelph, on December 17, 2024.

William MAY – Impaired Operation

(TOWN OF WASAGA BEACH, ON) – The Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual with impaired driving related charges because of a traffic tip.

On December 3, 2024, at approximately 8:40 a.m., Huronia West OPP officers responded to a traffic tip of a possible impaired driver in the Town of Wasaga Beach.

Officers patrolled the are but were not able to locate the vehicle.

At approximately 9:30 a.m., officers where dispatched to a motor vehicle collision (MVC) at 33rd Street North and McCague Street in Wasaga Beach. Officers located the unattended vehicle and shortly thereafter located the driver where they conducted an impaired driving investigation. As a result, William MAY, 44-year-old of Wasaga Beach, was arrested and has been charged with the following:

·      Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs

·      Driving While Under Suspension

The accused is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

Jason LEEDER – Impaired Operation

(KINCARDINE, ON) – On December 1, 2024, at approximately 12:24 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a traffic complaint along Bruce Road 20, Municipality of Kincardine.

On arrival, officers located a single vehicle stuck in the snow. The investigating officer detected signs of impairment from the driver. The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the South Bruce OPP detachment.

Jason LEEDER, 50-years-old, of Saugeen Shores was charged with:

  • Refusal to comply with demand, CC 320.15(1)
  • Operation while Impaired, CC 320.14(1)(a)

The accused is set to appear in the Walkerton Court of Justice on January 19, 2025.

Aysha TRYON – Impaired Operation

(BRACEBRIDGE, ON) – Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one driver with impaired driving after responding to a concern from another motorist.

On November 28, 2024 at 4:40 p.m., Bracebridge OPP officers responded to a concern from a member of the public about a possibly impaired driver on Muskoka Road 169 in Muskoka Lakes Township, travelling toward Gravenhurst. Officers located the vehicle on James Street in Gravenhurst and conducted a traffic stop. As a result of their investigation, police have charged 30-year-old Aysha TRYON of Parry Sound with Impaired Operation CC 320.14(1)(a) and Over 80 CC 320.14(1)(b). She will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on December 17, 2024 to answer to her charges.

Orestes BETANCOURT PELAEZ – Impaired Operation

(TOWNSHIP OF ALNWICK/HALDIMAND, ON) – The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has arrested and charged an impaired driver following a report of an unwanted person.

On November 28, 2024, at approximately 10:50 p.m., police responded to a call regarding an unwanted individual at a property on Shearer Point Road in Roseneath.

Officers arrived and located the individual and vehicle associated to the complaint. OPP entered into an impaired operation investigation resulting in the driver being arrested and transported to a local detachment for further tests. The accused then failed to comply with a demand for breath into an approved instrument.

Orestes BETANCOURT PELAEZ, 38-years-old, from the Township of Alnwick/Haldimand, has been charged with:

–      Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

–      Failure or refusal to comply with demand.

In addition to a future court date, a further 90-day Administrative Driver Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impound was initiated as per statute.

Chad Mathieson – Impaired Operation

(PENETANGUISHENE, ON) On November 27th, 2024 at around 5:15 p.m., members of the Southern Georgian Bay detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police(OPP) responded to a dispute at a residence on Lepage Drive in Penetanguishene. While attempting to resolve the matter, officers learned that one of the involved parties left the area in a vehicle and was believed to be impaired.

Officers located the driver at a residence on Champlain Road in Penetanguishene and noted signs of impairment. The individual was placed under arrest and transported to detachment for further tests.

As a result of this investigation, Chad Mathieson, 51 years of Penetanguishene, faces the following charge contrary to the Criminal Code:

  • Impaired Operation – Alcohol and Drugs

The accused was released from custody to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Midland on December 12, 2024. When charged with impaired driving, the driver’s license of the accused is suspended for 90 days and the vehicle they were operating is impounded for 7 days.

Raymond YOUNG – Impaired Operation

(ESPANOLA, ON) – The Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) assisted the Anishinabek Police Service (APS) with an impaired investigation which resulted in one person being arrested and charged.

On November 2, 2024 at approximately 1:30 p.m., APS officers located a driver passed out in the driver’s seat of a pickup truck. The driver was subsequently arrested and upon further investigation, officers located suspected crack cocaine. An OPP Drug Recognition Evaluator (DRE) assisted with the investigation for further testing.

As a result, the driver, Raymond YOUNG, 33-years-old from Elliot Lake, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired
  • Possession of Schedule I Substance

The pickup truck was towed and impounded for seven days, and the driver’s licence was suspended.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Espanola on December 2, 2024.

Peter NEVILLE – Impaired Operation

(ESSA, ON) – The Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a driver involved in a collision with impaired operation in the Township of Essa.

On November 7, 2024, just before 4:00 p.m., Nottawasaga OPP responded to a motor vehicle collision involving two vehicles in the area of County Road 21/56 Roundabout in the Township of Essa. No injuries were reported. 

As a result of the investigation, Peter NEVILLE, 55, of Essa, was charged with:  

• Operation While Impaired

In addition to the charges, the driver was issued a 90-day license suspension, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days. 

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Bradford on December 19, 2024, to answer to the charges.
