Navjot SINGH Was Arrested

(PUSLINCH TWP, ON) – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charge a Brampton resident criminally, stemming from a traffic stop.

On August 9, 2025, at approximately 10:15 p.m., members of the Wellington County Traffic Management Unit were performing a proactive traffic enforcement initiative, which resulted in a traffic stop being conducted on Wellington Road 34, within Puslinch Township.

As a result of the investigation, Navjot SINGH, a 23-year-old from Brampton is charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on August 22, 2025.

19 Year Old Facing Impaired Driving Charge

(TOWN OF ERIN, ON) – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charge a Brampton resident criminally, stemming from a traffic stop.

On August 9, 2025, at approximately 10:15 a.m., members of the Wellington County OPP were dispatched to unknown parked truck outside of a residence, with the driver passed out in the driver’s seat.

Officers responded to the location and as a result of the investigation, Parneet RAI, a 19-year-old from Brampton is charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on August 22, 2025.

Joseph KNELSEN Facing Numerous Charges

 (TILLSONBURG, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Oxford Detachment responded to a suspected impaired driver after an officer detected concerning driving behaviour, while on foot patrol, in the Town of Tillsonburg.

On August 10, 2025, at approximately 9:40 p.m., members of Oxford OPP identified a suspected impaired driver on Bloomer Street in the Town of Tillsonburg.

As a result of the investigation, Joseph KNELSEN, a 22-year-old resident of Port Rowan, has been charged with:

  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) 80 plus
  • Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
  • Fail to Stop for Red Light
  • Having Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle with Liquor Readily Available
  • Having Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle with Cannabis Readily Available
  • Drive Motor Vehicle – No Mudguards
  • Fail to Properly Wear Seatbelt

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on October 7, 2025.

Wendy HICKS – Drunk Driving

 (EAST ZORRA-TAVISTOCK, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Oxford Detachment took another impaired driver off the road as the result of a R.I.D.E. check in the Township of East Zorra-Tavistock.

On August 9, 2025, at approximately 3:15 p.m., Oxford OPP set up a Reduced Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) check on George Street in Innerkip.

As a result, Wendy HICKS, a 58-year-old resident of Woodstock, has been charged with:

  • Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
  • Operation While Impaired
  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) 80 plus
  • Driving Motor Vehicle with Unsealed Alcohol
  • Fail to Stop for Police

The accused has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

R.I.D.E. programs are set up at various locations during the day and night. They continue to prove to be helpful in getting impaired drivers off Oxford County roadways.

Anthony WALL – Drunk Driving

 (TILLSONBURG, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Oxford Detachment responded to a single vehicle collision, resulting in one person being charged with impaired driving charges.

On August 8, 2025, at approximately 6:50 p.m., members of Oxford OPP were dispatched to a collision on Vienna Road, just south of Highway 3, in the Town of Tillsonburg.

As a result of the investigation, Anthony WALL, a 30-year-old resident of Tillsonburg, has been charged with:

  • Operation While Impaired
  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) 80 plus
  • Dangerous Operation

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on September 2, 2025.

Madeline KEITH – Drunk Driving

(ORILLIA, ON) – One party was arrested and is facing impaired related charges after striking a police cruiser that was at the scene of a separate motor vehicle collision.

On August 10, 2025, just after 3:00 am, an officer was on Highway 11 northbound, near Line 1 in Oro-Medonte Township, conducting traffic control for a motor vehicle collision that had occurred. While the officer was in their vehicle the accused proceeded through the road closure colliding with the cruiser. The officer was transported to a local hospital where they were assessed and released with minor injuries. The driver was arrested at the scene and transported back to the Orillia Detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Madeline KEITH, 23-years-old of Mississaga, has been charged with the following:

–      Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs (CC), and

–      Operation while impaired – 80 plus (CC).

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia at a later date. Their driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and vehicle impounded for 7 days.

The collision scene resulted in Highway 11 northbound being closed for numerous hours though the night as it was processed by members of the Technical Collision Investigation (TCI) Unit and has since been reopened.

Larissa BLEEK – Drunk Driving

(KINCARDINE, ON) – On August 7, 2025, at approximately 12:22 a.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) along Broadway Street, Municipality of Kincardine.

A vehicle entered the area where police then spoke with the driver. The investigating officer detected signs of impairment. The driver was arrested and transported for further testing.

Larissa BLEEK, 28-years-old, of the Municipality of Kincardine, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – B.A.C. (80 plus), CC 320.14(1)(b)

The accused is set to appear at the Walkerton Court of Justice on September 17, 2025, to answer to the charge.

(ESSEX, ON)- Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Essex Detachment took another impaired driver off the road as the result of a R.I.D.E. check in the Town of Essex.

On August 6, 2025, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Essex OPP set up a Reduced Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) check on Talbot Street South in Essex.

As a result, Jason DAVIES, a 51-year-old resident of Essex, has been charged with:

·        Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) 80 plus

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on August 19, 2025.

Shane DUNN – Drunk Driving

(ELLIOT LAKE, ON)- The East Algoma Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) lays 32nd impaired charge in 2025.

On Monday, August 4, 2025, at approximately 2:30 p.m., members of the East Algoma OPP responded to a traffic complaint at Spine Beach, where an individual was reportedly consuming alcohol while sitting in a parked vehicle.

Officers attended the scene shortly after and located the vehicle with the individual in the driver’s seat. While speaking with the driver, police determined that alcohol had been consumed, resulting in an arrest.

A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed several beer cans and an open container of alcohol. The driver was transported to the Elliot Lake detachment for further testing.

Shane DUNN, 49 years old from Elliot Lake was charged with:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on September 11, 2025. The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension, and the involved vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Daanis NIGANABE – Drunk Driving

(MUNICIPALITY OF HURON SHORES, ON)- Impaired driving charges laid following single motor vehicle collision in the Town of Iron Bridge.

On Sunday, August 3, 2025, at approximately 5:30 a.m., members from the East Algoma Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle collision in the south side ditch of Chiblow Lake Road.

The driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the Blind River OPP Detachment for further processing.

As a result of the investigation, Daanis NIGANABE, 29 years old from Mississauga First Nation, was charged with:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on Thursday, October 2, 2025. The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension, and the involved vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Tarmara CHAMBERS – Drunk Driving

(CARLETON PLACE, ON) – – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Mississippi Mills Township resident with impaired driving.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on Highway 7, in Carleton Place on Saturday, August 2, 2025, just before 5:00 p.m. after receiving a complaint of a possible impaired driver.

The officers arrested the driver and transported the individual to the OPP Detachment in Carleton Place for testing.

As a result of the investigation, Tarmara CHAMBERS, 58-years-old, has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

·        Operation while impaired – alcohol

·        Drive motor vehicle with open container of alcohol

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, September 8, 2025.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – Driver charged with Impaired after vehicle leaves roadway and enters ditch.

On August 4, 2025, at 3:01 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Middlesex London Paramedic Service and Middlesex Centre Fire were dispatched to Bodkin Road in the Municipality of Middlesex Centre, for the report of a vehicle that left the roadway and entered the ditch.

The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP Detachment.

As a result, Jay NADEAU, a 47-year-old of Komoka has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on September 24, 2025.

On August 3, 2025, at 1:02 a.m., a member of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while on general patrol on Longwoods Road in the Municipality of Southwest Middlesex, observed a suspicious vehicle, at which time a traffic stop was initiated.

The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment.

As a result, Ayden RIOUX, a 20-year-old of Chatham, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

40 Year Old From Crediton Arrested

(BRANT, ON) – On August 5, 2025, at approximately 6:14 p.m., members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Main Street South in St. George.

As a result of the investigation, one individual was taken into custody.

Police have charged Darren GLAVIN, 40 years old, of Crediton, with the following offences under the Criminal Code:

  • Operation While Impaired – BAC 80+

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on August 21, 2025.

John BAKELAAR – Drunk Driving

(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – Driver facing impaired charge after colliding with a parked car in Dorchester.

On August 2, 2025, at 2:50 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to Maplewood Place in Dorchester, the Municipality of Thames Centre, for the report of a fail to remain collision.

Investigation revealed a vehicle struck a parked car and fled the scene. While police were investigating the suspect vehicle returned to the scene.

The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment.

As a result, John BAKELAAR, an 85-year-old of Dorchester, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on September 15, 2025.
