62 Year Old From Clifford Arrested

(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charge a Clifford resident with impaired driving in relation to a single motor vehicle collision.

On March 17, 2025, at approximately 7:00 p.m., members of the Wellington County OPP attended the scene of a single motor vehicle collision on Creek Road, just outside of Clifford within the Town of Minto.

As a result of the investigation, Carrie WHETHAM, a 62-year-old of Clifford is charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

There were no injuries as a result of the collision.

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on March 28, 2025.

21 Year Old Snowmobiler Facing Drunk Driving Charge

(ESPANOLA, ON) – One person is facing impaired related charges after a snowmobile collision on Killarney Bay in Killarney.

On March 14, 2025, at approximately 6:00 p.m., the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a single vehicle collision involving a snowmobile on Killarney Bay. Manitoulin-Sudbury Paramedic Services transported the driver to the nearest hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. As a result of further investigation, with assistance from the Sudbury OPP, the driver was arrested for impaired operation.

As a result, the driver, Brady BEJCZAK, 21-years-old from Sudbury, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Espanola on May 5, 2025.

Alejandro DE SOUSA Was Arrested

(DUFFERIN COUNTY) – Members of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Caledon resident with impaired operation related offences as the result of a traffic stop.

On March 17, 2025, just after 10:00 p.m., Dufferin OPP officers were conducting traffic enforcement in the area of Highway 10 near the Town of Orangeville. Officers noted a vehicle without a valid licence plate. The officer conducted a traffic stop and after a brief conversation, the officers were quickly led to an impaired driving investigation.

Alejandro DE SOUSA, a 23-year-old male, from Caledon has been charged with:

•      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

•      Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

•      Driving while under suspension

•      Possess unmarked cigarettes

•      Fail to surrender insurance card

•      Improper number plate light

The accused individual is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville. Their driver’s licence was suspended, and their vehicle impounded.

(DUFFERIN COUNTY) – Members of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an Orangeville resident with impaired operation related offences as the result of a traffic complaint.

On March 17, 2025, just before 2:30 p.m., Dufferin OPP officers were dispatched to a traffic complaint in the area of C-Line in the Town of Orangeville. Officers arrived in the area and located the vehicle in question. After a brief conversation, the officers were

quickly led to an impaired driving investigation.

 – Members of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Hamilton resident with impaired operation related offences as the result of a traffic complaint.

On March 18, 2025, just before 4:30 p.m., Dufferin OPP officers were dispatched to a traffic complaint in the area of the Townline in the Town of Orangeville. Officers arrived in the area and located the vehicle in question. After a brief conversation, the officers were quickly led to an impaired driving investigation.

Jarrod BURKE, a 28-year-old female, from Hamilton has been charged with:

•      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

•      Disobeying Order of Court

The accused individual is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville. Their driver’s licence was suspended, and their vehicle impounded.

Sharon WICKETT Was Arrested

(PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY, ON) – A Monday night RIDE program by members of the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) resulted in one driver being arrested.

Officers were conducting a RIDE program on Highway 62 at County Road 3 at 10:30 p.m. on March 17, 2025. During the RIDE, officers conducted a test on one driver with the Approved Screening Device. As a result, the driver was arrested and transported to the detachment for further testing.

Sharon WICKETT, age 72 of Prince Edward County has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton on April 2, 2025. They also had their driver’s licence suspended for a period of 90 days and vehicle impounded for 7 days.

Stephen Wallace Was Arrested

(CALEDON, ON) – Officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a driver with impaired operation following a suspicious vehicle investigation.

On March 11, 2025, shortly after 2:00 a.m., officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Kingsview Drive. During the interaction, grounds were formed that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.

As a result of the investigation, Stephen Wallace, 63, of Holland Landing, was charged with:

• Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concertation (80 plus)

• Having care or control of motor vehicle with open container of liquor.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on March 27, 2025, to answer to the charges. The driver’s licence was also suspended for a period of 90 days, and the vehicle impounded for seven.

• In a container that is unopened and the seal unbroken; or

• Packed in baggage that is fastened closed or not otherwise readily available to any person in the vehicle

42 Year Old Drunk Driver Arrested

(ALLISTON, ON) – The Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one driver for driving while impaired in the Town of New Tecumseth.

On March 17, 2025, shortly before 8:00 p.m., Nottawasaga OPP responded to a traffic tip that the driver of a passenger vehicle just approached the complainant in his vehicle drinking a bottle of Malibu rum and last seen travelling South on Church Street.

Officers were able to quickly locate the vehicle during general patrols and attempted to initiated a traffic stop in a near by plaza. Two marked cruisers approached the vehicle initiated the stop then the suspect vehicle proceeded to reverse into the front of one cruiser.

The officer issued an Approved Screening Device demand (ASD). Subsequently the driver provided a sample which resulted in a “Fail”. 

At 8:11 p.m., the driver: Michael MOULAND 42 years-old, of New Tecumseth, was arrested and charge with:  

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Dangerous operation

In addition to the charges, the driver was issued a 90-day license suspension, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days. 

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Bradford on April 10, 2025, to answer to the charges.

Jeremy SCHINDEL Was Arrested

(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – Traffic stop for stunt driving leads to impaired driving charge.

On March 14, 2025, at 1:48 a.m., a member of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was performing a traffic enforcement initiative in the Westbound lanes of Highway 401 in Thames Centre and observed a vehicle travelling well above the posted 100 km/h speed limit.

A traffic stop was initiated.

The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP Detachment.

As a result, Jeremy SCHINDEL, a 40-year-old of Delaware, has been charged under the Criminal Code, Highway Traffic Act, Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act and Liquor Licence Control Act with:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Dangerous operation

·      Drive Motor Vehicle – Perform Stunt – Excessive Speed

·      Operate a motor vehicle without insurance

·      Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on May 8, 2025.

(ADELAIDE METCALFE, ON) – Driver facing impaired charge after traffic complaint in Adelaide Metcalfe.

On March 13, 2025, at 3:40 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to Centre Road in Adelaide Metcalfe for the report of a possible impaired driver.

The vehicle was located at which time a traffic stop was initiated.

The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment.

As a result, Richard JOHNSON, a 53-year-old of Loxahatchee, Florida, United States of America, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

The accused was held for bail.

Drunk Driver Arrested In Kincardine

(KINCARDINE, ON) – On March 17, 2025, at approximately 2:54 a.m., a member of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped to check a vehicle along Sideroad 15, Municipality of Kincardine.

The investigating officer detected signs of impairment from the involved driver. The driver was placed under arrest and transported for further testing.

Cole FISICO, 27-years-old, of LaSalle, was charged with:

The accused is set to appear at the Walkerton Court of Justice on April 30, 2025 to answer to the charge.

18 Year Old Ditch Drunk Driver Arrested

(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) – On March 16, 2025, at approximately 12:15 a.m. Wellington County OPP attended a collision involving a single motor vehicle into the ditch on Wellington Road 5 near Wellington Road 109, in the Town of Minto.

As a result of the investigation, Bradley BOELKE, 18-years-old of Mount Forest, was charged with:

– Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs contrary to the Criminal Code

– Operation While Impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) contrary to the Criminal Code

No injuries were reported as a result of the collision.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice – Guelph, on March 25, 2025.

(CENTRE WELLINGTON TWP, ON) – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrest a St. Clements resident for impaired driving, after conducting a traffic stop.

On March 15, 2025, at approximately 3:30 a.m., members of the Wellington County OPP conducted a traffic stop on Wellington Road 7 within the Township of Centre Wellington.

As a result, Paul BECK, a 62-year-old of St. Clements was charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a 14-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on March 25, 2025.

Baljit Goraya – Drunk Driving

(EAST ZORRA – TAVISTOCK, ON) – An individual from Woodstock is facing impaired driving-related charges after being observed by an officer on proactive patrol.

On March 14, 2025, at approximately 8:30 p.m., a member of the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment was on general patrol in the area of Highway 2 and 11th line in the Township of East Zorra – Tavistock, where a vehicle was stopped for swerving into oncoming lanes.

Baljit Goraya, 49-years-old, of the City of Woodstock, has been charged with:  

·      Operation while Impaired – Alcohol

·      Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on April 22, 2025.

Anthony ALEXANDER – Drunk Driving

(KIRKLAND LAKE, ON) – A single motor vehicle collision has resulted in impaired driving charges for one Larder Lake resident.

On February 23,2025, at approximately 12:20 a.m. the Kirkland Lake Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Duncan Avenue at the intersection of Government Road. The subject motor vehicle was located off the roadway lodged on top of a snowbank. Upon speaking with the driver officers determined the individual had consumed an alcoholic beverage. The driver was arrested and transported to the Iroquois Falls OPP detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Anthony ALEXANDER, a 28-year-old from Larder Lake, has been charged with:

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus

·      Operation while impaired by alcohol.

The accused was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment. The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kirkland Lake on March 20, 2025.

Drivers are reminded that no amount of alcohol or drugs in your system is safe when driving. Whether you are impaired by alcohol or drugs, impaired is impaired and driving under the influence of either is a criminal offence.
