Ashlee RYAN – Drunk Driving

(WELLINGTON, ON) – Impaired driving charges have been laid after an incident in Wellington.

On Saturday, June 7, 2025, shortly before 9:30 p.m., officers with the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a disturbance in a parking lot on Wharf Street.

Officers arrested an individual who was transported to the detachment for testing.

Ashlee RYAN, age 24 of Prince Edward County, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton on June 25, 2025.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Matthew MOORE – Drunk Driving

(BECKWITH TWP, ON) – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Carleton Place resident with impaired driving.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on Appleton Side Road, in Beckwith Township on Friday, June 7, 2025, just after 7:00 p.m. after a complaint of a vehicle being driven erratically.

The officers located the vehicle, arrested the driver and transported the individual to the OPP Detachment in Carleton Place for testing.

As a result of the investigation, Matthew MOORE, 36-years-old, of Carleton Place, has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

·        Operation while impaired – alcohol

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on June 30, 2025.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Derek LAWLESS Was Arrested

(KINGSTON, ON) – A RIDE program at a Highway 401 offramp in Kingston has resulted in an impaired driving arrest.

On Friday, June 6, 2025, shortly after 8:00 p.m., officers with the Frontenac Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) program at the Highway-38 exit of the eastbound 401.

Officers stopped a pick-up truck, and it was noted that a child in the vehicle was not wearing a seatbelt. Officers utilized an approved roadside alcohol screening device, and the driver was arrested and transported for the detachment for further testing.

Derek LAWLESS, age 37 of Kingston, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Driving while under suspension
  • Driving while a passenger under 16 is not properly wearing a seatbelt
  • Fail to comply with an undertaking

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kingston on July 24, 2025.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded.

Rohdel LEMON Was Arrested

(BROCKTON, ON) – On June 8, 2025, at approximately 7:21 a.m., a member of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting radar enforcement along Bruce Road 4 in the Municipality of Brockton.

A vehicle was stopped after it was observed travelling in excess of 110 km/h in a posted 70 km/h zone. The investigating officer spoke to the driver and detected signs of impairment. The driver was placed under arrest and transported for further testing.

Rohdel LEMON, 26-years-old, resident of Cambridge, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – B.A.C. 80 plus, CC 320.14(1)(b)
  • Drive motor vehicle – perform stunt, HTA 172(1)

The accused is set to appear on July 16, 2025, at the Walkerton Ontario Court of Justice to answer to the charge.

84 Year Old Facing Drunk Driving Charge Following Collision

(MAPLETON TWP, ON) – On June 7, 2025, at approximately 2:30 p.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with other emergency services, responded to a collision at McGivern Street near Booth Street in Moorefield.

It was reported that a single motor vehicle had collided with a pole.

The lone occupant was transported by ambulance to a local hospital as a precaution.

As a result of the investigation, Patrick Anthony HAGEL, 84-years-old of Mapleton Township, was charged with Operation While Impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) contrary to the Criminal Code.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice – Guelph, on June 17, 2025.

Jennette MORRIS Was Arrested

(WASAGA BEACH, ON) – The Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one individual with impaired driving related charges after an officer stopped a vehicle due to driving behavior.

On June 8, 2025, shortly after 4:00 a.m., Huronia West OPP officers were conducting traffic enforcement on Lyons Court in the town of Wasaga Beach. Officers stopped a vehicle after displaying poor driving behavior to speak with the driver. During the interaction, officers formed grounds that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol, leading to an arrest. As a result of the investigation, Jennette MORRIS, 57-year-old of Tiny Township, was arrested and has been charged with the following:

·      Adult Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Collingwood on August 28, 2025, to answer to the charge.

Jeffery FORREST – Drunk Driving

(WASAGA BEACH, ON) – The Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual with impaired driving related charges because of a traffic tip.

On June 6, 2025, shortly after 5:30 p.m., Huronia West OPP officers responded to a traffic tip of a possible impaired driver in the town of Wasaga Beach.

Officers were able to locate the vehicle on Nottawasaga 33-34 Sideroad. During the interaction, officers formed grounds that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol, leading to an arrest. As a result of the investigation, Jeffery FORREST, 65-year-old of Victoria B.C., was arrested and has been charged with the following:

·      Operation while Impaired – Alcohol

·      Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Collingwood on August 19, 2025, to answer to the charges.

Shane LEBOEUF – Drunk Driving

(MARATHON, ON) – The Marathon Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged a driver with impaired operation related charges .

On June 6, 2025, at approximately 9:20 p.m., an officer of the Marathon OPP was travelling on Highway 17 in Pic Township. While on patrol, an officer observed a motor vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed, and a traffic stop was initiated.

While speaking with the driver, the officer detected signs of impairment. The driver was arrested and transported for further testing.

The driver, Shane LEBOEUF, 60-years-old from Sault Ste. Marie, was charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Marathon on July 16, 2025.

Daniel FIELDHOUSE Was Arrested

 (EAST ZORRA-TAVISTOCK, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Oxford Detachment responded to a traffic complaint, resulting in one person being charged with impaired driving.

On June 5, 2025, at approximately 8:30 p.m., members of Oxford OPP were dispatched to a traffic complaint on Blandford Street in the Township of East Zorra-Tavistock.

As a result of the investigation, Daniel FIELDHOUSE, a 54-year-old resident of the Township of East Zorra-Tavistock, has been charged with:

•        Dangerous Operation

•        Operation While Impaired

•        Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) 80 plus

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on July 8, 2025.

Connor BUFFAM – Hit & Run, Drunk Driving, Etc.

(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person after a collision in Arnprior.

On Thursday, June 5, 2025, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Renfrew OPP responded to a collision on Morgan Clouthier Way in Arnprior. A vehicle had struck a fire hydrant and the driver fled on foot.

An individual was located and arrested by police in McNab-Braeside.

As a result of the investigation, Connor BUFFAM, age 20 of McNab-Braeside was charged with:

·      Operation while impaired- alcohol and drugs

·      Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Fail to remain

·      Having care or control of a motor vehicle with open container of liquor

·      Fail to report accident

The accused was release and is schedule to attend the Pembroke Court of Justice on July 9, 2025.

4 More Impaired Drivers Charged

(ORILLIA, ON) – Over the span of 14 hours, members of the Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged four individuals with impaired related charges, through traffic complaints called in by members of the public, and through proactive traffic stops.

On June 5, 2025, just before 1:00 pm, officers of the Orillia OPP responded to a traffic complaint being called in by a member of the public on Line 14 North near Bass Lake Side Road East in Oro-Medonte Township. Upon arrival, officers entered into an impaired investigation due to the driver’s behaviour. The driver was arrested for Impaired Operation and transported back to the Orillia Detachment for further testing by a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE).

As a result of the investigation, Alisha STEVENSON, 31-year-old from Oro-Medonte, was charged with the following:

–       Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs (CC), and

–       Dangerous Operation (CC)

On June 5, 2025, just before 10:30 pm, officers of the Orillia OPP responded to a traffic complaint being called in by a member of the public of a vehicle driving erratically on Highway 12 from Highway 11 in the City of Orillia. Officers located the vehicle quickly and entered into an impaired investigation. A demand for an Approved Screening Device (ASD) was read, to which the driver complied and provided a sample of their breath, resulting in a reading of ‘FAIL.’ The driver was placed under arrest and transported back to the Orillia OPP Detachment where further testing was completed.

As a result of the investigation, Erik DRURY, 44-year-old from Coldwater, was charged with the following:

–       Operation while Impaired – 80 plus (CC),

–       Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor (LLCA)

On June 6, 2025, at 2:00 am, officers of the Orillia OPP were dispatched to a traffic complaint being called in by a member of the public. The complainant advised there was a suspicious vehicle idling and blocking their driveway on Highway 11 Southbound near Line 5, in Oro-Medonte Township. Officers located the suspect vehicle and entered into an impaired investigation. The driver was arrested for Impaired Operation and transported back to the Huronia West Detachment of the OPP for further testing by a DRE.

As a result of the investigation, Ismail ZOGASI, 28-year-old from Massachusetts, USA, has been charged with the following:

–       Operation while Impaired – Alcohol or Drugs (CC)

On June 6, 2025, at 2:10 am, an officer was conducting general patrol on Coldwater Road near Front Street in the City of Orillia when they observed a motor vehicle commit a Highway Traffic Act violation. The vehicle was followed, where the officer observed signs of impaired driving behaviour. A traffic stop was conducted, and the officer engaged in an impaired investigation. The driver was arrested and transported back to the Orillia Detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Cora LINDSAY, 32-year-old of Washago, was charged with the following:

–       Operation while Impaired – Alcohol or Drugs (CC),

–       Operation while Impaired – 80 Plus (CC), and

–       Red Light – Fail to Stop (HTA)

All parties were released from custody with a future court date at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia. Additionally, their licences have been suspended for 90 days, and their vehicles impounded for 7 days.

Ella TAYLOR Was Arrested

(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TWP, ON) – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charge a Waterloo resident with two criminal charges stemming from a two-motor vehicle collision.

On June 4, 2025, at approximately 10:00 p.m., members of the Wellington County OPP attended the scene of a two-motor vehicle collision on Wellington Road 7 within Guelph-Eramosa Township.

As a result of the investigation, Ella TAYLOR, a 24-year-old of Waterloo is charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

As a result of the collision, the other driver was sent to local hospital as a precaution with minor injuries.

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on June 20, 2025.

23 Year Old Arrested For Drunk Driving

(LITTLE CURRENT, ON) – One person is facing impaired-related charges after the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop.

On Sunday, May 25, 2025, at approximately 2:30 a.m., the Manitoulin OPP were conducting general patrol near the intersection of Highway 542 and Highway 540B in the Gordon Township. Police observed a vehicle that was travelling on Highway 542 turn onto Highway 540B, and a traffic stop was initiated. Police conducted Mandatory Alcohol Screening (MAS) on the driver, and as a result the driver was arrested for impaired operation.

Alexandria LEWIS, 23-years-old from Gore Bay, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Gore Bay on June 24, 2025.

24 Year Old Arrested For Drunk Driving

(LITTLE CURRENT, ON) – One person is facing impaired-related charges after police received a report of a possible impaired driver.

On Friday, May 16, 2025, at approximately 3:30 a.m., the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) assisted the United Chief and Councils of Manitoulin Police Service Commission (UCCM Police) with a call reporting a possible impaired driver that was leaving a residence in Whitefish River First Nation. Police located the vehicle near Old Village Road South, and conducted a traffic stop. Further investigation resulted in the driver being arrested for impaired operation.

The driver, Jackilene MEJAKI, 24-years-old from Whitefish River First Nation, was charged with:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Novice driver – B.A.C. above zero

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Gore Bay on June 24, 2025.

Anthony POTTER – Drunk Driving

(Orillia, ON) – The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged a driver with impaired operation related charges.

On June 4, 2025, at approximately 2:45 p.m, officers from Orillia OPP were conducting Mandatory Alcohol Screening (MAS) on a RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) on Horseshoe Valley Road West in Oro-Medonte. While screening all drivers that enter the RIDE, police encountered one driver that provided a Fail on a Approved Screening Device (ASD).

As a result, Anthony POTTER, 62-years-old, from Tay TWP, ON has been charged with:

Operation while impaired-alcohol blood concentration (80 plus) contrary to section 320.14(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia, to answer to the charges at a later date in June 2025. As a result of these charges, his driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and vehicle impounded for a period of 7 days.
