Paul COUSINEAU – Drunk Driving

(MIDLAND, ON)- A report of a possible impaired driver on Highway 400 by another motorist to the OPP Communication Centre has led to the investigation of an Orillia resident for impaired driving.

Officers of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded after receiving the report on June 26, 2025 at approximately 1:24 a.m. involving a north bound pick up truck which was located and stopped at the Gibson Lake Road and Highway 400 ramp.

Conversation was had with the driver and an impaired driving investigation was commenced which later concluded at Detachment with 51 year old Paul COUSINEAU of Orillia being charged with the following criminal driving offences.

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Dangerous operation

And further with the following Provincial Offences of.

  • Fail to have insurance card
  • Fail to produce permit
  • Driving while under suspension

The accused was released from custody to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice  on July 10, 2025, and was also served a 90 day drivers licence suspension. The involved vehicle was towed and subject to a 7 day vehicle impound in accordance to the Ministry of Transportation (ADLS) guidelines.

Jeremy MCMULLEN – Drunk Driving

(SELWYN TOWNSHIP, ON) – Officers from the Peterborough County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual with impaired after investigating a vehicle in a ditch call.

On Thursday June 26, 2025, just prior to 8:00pm, Peterborough County OPP officers received a call regarding a vehicle that had been abandoned in a ditch on Tindle Bay Road.

Officers arrived on scene and observed the vehicle but there was no driver to be found. Officer’s made effort to contact the registered owner to ensure their well-being but were unsuccessful in reaching them. Officers went back to the vehicle only to have the driver return a short time later. Officers spoke with the driver and determined them to be under the influence of alcohol. The individual was arrested and transported to the Peterborough County OPP detachment for further testing.

Jeremy MCMULLEN (age 40) of Selwyn, ON., was arrested and charged with;

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90-days, and their vehicle impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on July 22, 2025.

18 Year Old Arrested For Drunk Driving

(LAMBTON SHORES, ON) – One individual has been charged with impaired driving following a traffic stop in the Municipality of Lambton Shores.

On June 25, 2025, at 10:15 p.m., while conducting general patrol, a member of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Lakeshore Road, near Ipperwash Road.

As a result of the investigation, Ty DOUGLAS, 18-year-old of Lambton Shores, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code, the Highway Traffic Act, and Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Drive without proper rear light – motor vehicle
  • Fail to surrender insurance card

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Sarnia on July 21, 2025.

Tonia LANGILLE – Drunk Driving

(GRAND BEND, ON) – One individual has been charged with impaired driving following a traffic stop in Grand Bend.

On June 21, 2025, at approximately 5:15 p.m., while conducting bicycle patrol, a member of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Queens Avenue in Grand Bend.

As a result of the investigation, Tonia LANGILLE, 26-year-old of Grand Bend, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code and the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operate a motor vehicle without insurance

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Sarnia on July 22, 2025.

PATEL Arrested For Drunk Driving

(PARRY SOUND, ON) – The West Parry Sound Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid an impaired driving charge after receiving a complaint from the public.

On June 25, 2025, at approximately 8:00 p.m. the West Parry Sound OPP were dispatched to a report of a possible impaired driver after witnesses observed a driver with open alcohol containers in the vehicle on Isabella Street in the Town of Parry Sound. Police located the vehicle in a parking lot and initiated an investigation. 

Kirteshkumar PATEL, 46 years-of-age of Parry Sound was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on July 31, 2025. The accused was also issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS), and the vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

Christopher VANSEVENANT Was Arrested

(ST. CLAIR TOWNSHIP, ON) – One individual faces charges following a traffic stop in St. Clair Township.

On June 23, 2025, just after 9:00 p.m., while conducting general patrol, a member of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Brigden Road after observing.

As a result of the investigation, Christopher VANSEVENANT, 36-year-old of Brigden, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Dangerous Operation

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Sarnia on July 31, 2025.

41 Year Old From Listowel Arrested – Details Relased

(HURON EAST, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Listowel resident with criminal driving offences following a traffic violation in the Municipality of Huron East on June 11th, 2025. 

At 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, Huron County OPP officers stopped a motorist for a traffic violation on Blyth Road in Huron East. Police spoke to the driver and discovered that they had consumed alcohol prior to driving.

The driver was subsequently arrested for impaired operation and transported to the Huron OPP detachment in Clinton where they provided breath samples before a qualified Intoxilyzer Breath Technician. Breath samples were provided to police which resulted in readings over twice the legal limit.

Matthew GEORGE, 41-years-of-age from Listowel has been charged with:

–      Impaired Operation – alcohol and drug,

–      Operation while Impaired – Over 80.

The accused was additionally charged with an offence found in the Highway Traffic Act.

The vehicle involved was towed and impounded for 7 days and the accused’ driver’s licence was suspended for a period of 90 days.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on July 07, 2025.

42 Year Old From Goderich Arrested After Showing Up To Detachment Drunk

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Goderich resident with an Impaired driving offence following an incident on June 9th, 2025, in the Municipality of Central Huron. 

Just after 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 9th, 2025, Huron County OPP officers met an individual at the Huron County OPP Detachment office on Albert Street in Clinton for an unrelated matter.

Officers discovered that the individual had been drinking alcohol prior to driving to the OPP detachment, and they were subsequently arrested for impaired operation. The accused provided breath samples before a qualified Intoxilyzer Breath Technician. Breath samples provided to police resulted in readings over the legal limit.

Joseph SWITZER, 42 years of age from Goderich, has been charged with:

–      Operation while Impaired – Over 80.

The vehicle involved was towed and impounded for seven days, and the accused’ driver’s license was suspended for a period of 90 days.

The accused was later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on July 21st, 2025.

Donald MCLEAN – Drunk Driving

(TEMISKAMING SHORES, ON) -A traffic complaint resulted in a driver charged with impaired.

On Saturday, June 21,2025 at approximately 7:30 p.m., the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), responded a traffic complaint on Highway 11 in Temiskaming Shores regarding a possible impaired driver. 

Officers located the vehicle on Highway 11 and conducted a traffic stop near Bedard Drive. Following an investigation, the driver was arrested and transported to the Englehart detachment for further testing. The vehicle was towed and impounded. 

Donald MCLEAN, 64 years-of-age of Charlton, was charged with: 

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol 

 The accused received a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS) and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury, on Tuesday July 15, 2025.

Paramjit WALIA – Drunk Driving

 (EAST ZORRA-TAVISTOCK, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Oxford Detachment responded to a traffic complaint, resulting in one person being charged with impaired driving.

On June 23, 2025, at approximately 8:00 p.m., members of Oxford OPP were dispatched to a traffic complaint on Oxford Road 4 in East Zorra- Tavistock Township.  

As a result of the investigation, Paramjit WALIA, a 55-year-old resident of Woodstock, has been charged with:

  • Operation While Impaired
  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) 80 plus
  • Dangerous Operation

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on July 29, 2025.

19 Year Old Facing Drunk Driving Charge

(WEST PERTH, ON) – Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one individual with multiple offences during a RIDE program in the Municipality of West Perth.

On June 23, 2025 shortly after 11:00 p.m. the Perth County OPP were conducting a RIDE program at the intersection of Perth Road 164 and Perth Line 20 when they observed a vehicle attempting to avoid police.

The vehicle was stopped and as a result, 19-year-old Riya BHATT of Brampton was charged with the following offences:

  • Operation while Impaired, Contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Operation while Impaired – Over 80, Contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Novice Driver B.A.C above zero, Contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
  • Care or Control of a Vehicle with Cannabis Readily Available, Contrary to the Cannabis Control Act 2017.

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Stratford on August 11, 2025.

Ryan SPROULE – Drunk Driving

(LENNOX AND ADDINGTON COUNTY, ON) – Lennox and Addington County members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged two people with impaired driving related charges over the weekend.

On Friday, June 20, 2025, just before 7:00 p.m., L&A County OPP members were advised of a motor vehicle collision involving a vehicle that struck a guardrail on the 401 Highway westbound then failed to stop at the scene. The vehicle was located at a nearby carpool lot and the driver was arrested.

Ryan SPROULE, a 39-year-old from Odessa, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – over 80 mgs of alcohol
  • Dangerous driving

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on July 8, 2025. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded.

On Saturday, June 21, 2025, just after 1:00 p.m., L&A County OPP was called by a member of the public regarding a possible impaired driver on County Road 2 in Loyalist Township. Police stopped the vehicle and the driver was arrested.  

A 17-year-old from Newburgh, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA), was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – over 80 mgs of alcohol

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Youth Court of Justice in Greater Napanee at a later date. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded.

Michael BRENNAN Was Arrested

(WASAGA BEACH, ON) – The Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one individual with impaired driving related charges after an officer stopped a vehicle due to the driver seen using their cellphone.

On June 21, 2025, shortly after 12:30 p.m., Huronia West OPP officers were conducting traffic enforcement on Mosley Street at 18th Street in the town of Wasaga Beach. Officers stopped a vehicle after the driver was seen using their cellphone. During the interaction, officers formed grounds that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol, leading to an arrest. As a result of the investigation, Michael BRENNAN, 45-year-old of Elmvale, was arrested and has been charged with the following:

·      Adult Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

·      Adult Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs

·      Adult Operation while Prohibited under the Criminal Code

·      Adult Drive – Handheld Communication Device (HTA)

·      Adult Driving Motor Vehicle with Open Container of Liquor (LLCA)

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Collingwood on August 19, 2025, to answer to the charges.

(ST. CLAIR TOWNSHIP, ON) – One individual has been charged with impaired driving following a traffic stop in St. Clair Township.

On June 22, 2025, just before 2:00 a.m., while conducting general patrol, a member of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Highway 40, south of Bentpath Line, St. Clair Township.

As a result of the investigation, Dustin ISAAC, 40-year-old of Wallaceburg, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offence:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Sarnia on August 5, 2025.

Additionally, a passenger in the vehicle, a 34-year-old of Sarnia, was charged under the Liquor Licence and Control Act with:

  • Having liquor in open container in unauthorized place

Siril KANDULA – Drunk Driving

(PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY, ON) – A visitor to Sandbanks Provincial Park has been charged with impaired driving.

On Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., officers with the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the park. Park Wardens had initiated a traffic stop, suspecting that a driver was impaired.

Officers arrived and utilized an approved roadside alcohol screening device on the driver. The male was transported to the detachment for further testing.

Siril KANDULA, age 24 of Toronto, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton on July 23, 2025.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded for seven days.
