St. Thomas Police Daily Report

On Wednesday August 20th, 2025 the complainant advised that an individual attended their residence on Forest Ave and broke into their garage.  No items were stolen from the garage but their was damage to the side door.  Police are requesting anyone in the area with camera footage from the evening that observed anything to contact police at 519-631-1224 or Crime stoppers.  ST25014926

Warrant arrests:

A 32 year old male attended the Elgin court house and was arrested on the strength of a warrant he was processed and released by the court.  A 37 year old male was recognized by the STPS CRU unit during patrol and was arrested for an outstanding unendorsed warrant.  He was transported to court where he was remanded into custody by the courts. Break and Enter

The victim reports sometime between 10AUG25 and 12AUG25 unknown person(s) cut locks to two trailers parked at the rear of a Warehouse. Stolen was a Point of Sale Square, Samsung tablet, Myfi device, food, soda and a cooler valued at approximately $500. ST25014959

Porch theft:

The victim reports theft of package containing clothing valued at $50 from front porch on Metcalfe street in St. Thomas.  Theft believed to have occurred 19AUG25 1245-1300hrs. Police are requesting anyone in the area with camera footage from the afternoon that observed anything to contact police at 519-631-1224 or Crime stoppers.  ST25014960

Chatham-Kent Police Daily Report

The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 24 hours. Below is a summary of the key events, including arrests, investigations, and other notable occurrences.

Arrest/Warrants – CK25050015

Date: August 20, 2025, Time: 16:11hrs, Location: Jeffrey Street, Chatham

On October 4, 2024, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a break and enter at a commercial property on King Street, Chatham (CK24050448). It was reported that several items were taken from the property.

Following an investigation and a review of surveillance footage, the accused was identified as, a 49-year-old female from Chatham-Kent. On October 8, 2024, at approximately 14:04 hrs, police located and arrested the individual. She was charged with the following offence:

  • Break, Enter a Place- Commit Indictable Offence of Theft

The accused was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where she was released with a scheduled court date of November 4, 2024. The individual failed to attend this court date and a warrant was issued for her arrest along with the following charge:

  • Failure to Attend Court

On January 8, 2025, the Chatham-Ket Police Service responded to a report of theft at retail store in Chatham (CK25002645).

During the investigation, surveillance footage confirmed the accused was the same individual. The accused entered the store on multiple occasions and left without paying for various items, bypassing the checkout area. A warranted was issued for her arrest.

On February 5, 2025, the accused was located and arrested by the police. She was charged with the following offences

  •   Theft Under $5,000
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

The individual was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters. She was released with a scheduled court date of March 24, 2025, which she failed to attend (RM25000979). Subsequently, an endorsed warrant was issued for her arrest.

On August 20, 2025, at approximately, 16:11 hrs, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service arrested the accused on several outstanding warrants. The individual was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where she is currently being held for bail.

Arrest/Over 80 – CK25050063

Date: August 20, 2025, Time: 20:35hrs., Location: Water Street, Wallaceburg

On August 21, 2025, at approximately 20:35 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service conducted a traffic stop and located an intoxicated driver. The driver, 58-year-old male from Chatham, was operating the vehicle and failed a roadside screening test.

The individual was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration Over 80

The individual was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters for further testing. He was later released with a scheduled court date of September 4, 2025.

R.I.D.E Program

R.I.D.E – CK25050143

Date: August 20, 2025, Time: 02:51hrs, Location: Lacroix Street, Chatham

On August 20, 2025, the Chatham-Kent Police Service conducted a R.I.D.E Program (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) in Chatham. A total of 27 vehicles were stopped and checked by officers. As a result, 4 drivers were issued cautions under the Highway Traffic Act.

The R.I.D.E. program is part of ongoing efforts to promote road safety and prevent impairs driving.

BPS Daily Update

Warrants, Drug Arrests

On August 19th, members of Project Renewal observed a vehicle in Belleville’s west end carrying individuals wanted on outstanding warrants. Officers conducted a traffic stop and arrested the individuals on the strength of outstanding warrants and the driver operating the vehicle while his license was suspended.

Police seized a quantity of methamphetamines, fentanyl, cocaine and cash.  

As a result of the police investigation the following persons were arrested and charged:

Austin COONEY, 30-year-old of Belleville, was charged with the following offences and held for a bail hearing:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Fentanyl
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Methamphetamines
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Cocaine
  • Possession of proceeds of crime under $5000
  • Failing to comply with probation order

Jessie DRAKER, 43-year-old of Belleville, was charged with the following offences and held for a bail hearing:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Fentanyl
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Methamphetamines
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Cocaine
  • Possession of proceeds of crime under $5000

Michael CORNWALL-GODDARD, 37-year-old of Belleville, was charged with the following offences and held for a bail hearing:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Fentanyl
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Methamphetamines
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Cocaine
  • Possession of proceeds of crime under $5000
  • Fail to Comply with Probation

Amanda LOVELESS, 38-year-old of Belleville, was charged with the following offences and held for a bail hearing:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Fentanyl
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Methamphetamines
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Cocaine
  • Possession of proceeds of crime under $5000

Donald DAVEY, 37-year-old of Belleville, was charged with the following offences and held for a bail hearing:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Fentanyl
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Methamphetamines
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Cocaine
  • Possession of proceeds of crime under $5000
  • Drive Under Suspension, HTA

Mischief Under Investigation

On August 19th, Belleville Police responded to a call at a building under construction in the city’s north end. It was reported that at approximately 1:45am, two individuals wearing balaclavas were seen on CCTV entering the property area and causing damage. The two individuals also attempted to gain entry but were unsuccessful and fled the scene on foot. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact Cst. STPS Daily Update

Break and enter:

The complaint reports a break and enter to unlocked shed overnight on Erie Street in St. Thomas. Stolen was a black power washer and Master Craft air compressor valued at approximately $800. CCTV captured the suspect with his face covered. If you observed anyone suspicious in the area or have footage please contact police at 519-631-1224 or Crime stoppers. ST25014860

Warrant arrest:

Police located a 29 year old St. Thomas resident wanted on a first instance warrant for theft under $5000.  The arrested party was released with a future court date.  ST25014864/ST25014705

Mischief:

On Confederation drive the complainant reports sometime overnight on Tuesday August 19, 2025 an unknown person(s) smashed his driver’s side window to his vehicle parked on the road. Appears window was smashed by two steel slingshot balls. Nothing was taken.  ST25014877

Warrant arrest x2 :

Police located two individuals with probation warrants a 43 year old male and a 31 year old female were both arrested and released with a future court date on probation warrants. ST25014890/RM25000615/ RM25000614

Assault:

The victim attended the station to report being assaulted and threatened by long-time friend while at his apartment. Grounds were formed, the 63 year old male was arrested and charged with assault, utter threats, then released on a undertaking with a future court date and conditions. ST25014896

Bike Theft:

The victim reported his e-bike stolen from the bike rack while attending football practice at 100 Parkside Drive. The Lock was cut. E-bike is a “Gyrocopter”, unknown serial #, valued at $1600.00.  Anyone with information or has observed the bike please contact police at 519-631-1224 or Crime stoppers. ST25014910

Theft under :

Loss prevention reports a female wearing a hat and a gold puffy jacket has left the store with $100.00 worth of clothing. LPO called a second time to report another female suspect came in and stole more clothing – black hat and sweater. Police located two females in the area matching description. Both detained until video confirmed identities as suspects then arrested. 28 year old female charged theft under and breach probation, released on undertaking and future court date. 24 year old female charged theft under and released on undertaking and future court date. Chatham-Kent Police Daily News Release – March 14, 2024

Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 160 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Five people were arrested and four were on outstanding warrants.

Man Arrested for Probation Violation Violations CK24011403

In October 2023, the man was arrested and charged with failing to comply with a probation order. He was released with conditions and a future court date. When the man failed to make an appearance in court a bench warrant was issued for his arrest.

On March 13, 2024, at 3:02 p.m., police located and arrest the 58-year-old Wallaceburg man on Dundas Street in Wallaceburg. He was released with a future court date of April 8, 2024.

Man Arrested for Bail Violation CK24011414

At 3:51 p.m., police responded to Victoria Avenue to conduct a well-being check on a man reported to be unwell.

Officers arrived and located the man sleeping on the steps of a business. Officers confirmed the man was wanted on an outstanding warrant and arrested him.

The 54-year-old Chatham Kent man was released with a future court date of April 22, 2024. He currently faces the following charges: two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.

Youth Arrested for Public Intoxication CK24011419

At 4:42 p.m., police responded to Thames Street in Chatham to conduct a well-being check on a young woman.

Officers located the woman intoxicated and unable to care for herself.

The 17-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where she was released to a family member.

Man Arrested on an Outstanding Warrant CK24011439

At 7:35 p.m., The Chatham Kent Police were advised the man was wanted on an outstanding warrant and was observed walking on Colborne Street in Chatham.

Officers attended in the area and located the man on Murray Street. The investigation revealed, the man was wanted on a warrant held by the Huron Ontario Provincial Police.

The 32-year-old Ontario was arrested and transported to police headquarters where he was held until he was turned over to the Ontario Provincial Police.

Man Arrested for Failing to Attend Court CK24011455

At 10:04 p.m., police responded to a disturbance on Grand River Line in Dover Township.

Upon arrival officers locate the man and confirmed he was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court.

The 60-year-old Chatham-Kent man was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where he was held pending a bail hearing. He is currently facing the following charges: assault causing bodily harm, threats, theft, possession of stolen property, failing to attend court and two counts of failing to comply with an undertaking.

Man Arrested for Probation Violation CK24009294

At 7:22 a.m., police responded to the Superstore on St. Clair Street in Chatham for a disturbance.

Upon arrival, officers located the man tipping over carts and screaming. Officers arrested the man and confirmed he was bound by a Probation Order prohibiting him from being at that location.

The 29-year-old Chatham-Kent man was arrested and charged with failing to comply with a probation order. He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.

Man Arrested for Intimate Partner Violence CK24009403

At 7:06 p.m., police responded to Northland Drive in Chatham for a disturbance.

Through investigation, officers learned the man and a woman engaged in a verbal altercation that escalated when the man assaulted the woman.

The 38-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm, and uttering threats. He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.

Man Arrested for Probation Violations CK24009414

At 8:37 p.m., an officer on patrol located a man highly intoxicated walking on Grand Avenue East in Chatham.

The officer arrested the man. During a search incident to arrest the officer found a pocketknife in the man’s possession. The officer learned the man was bound by a Probation Order prohibiting him from possessing weapons.

The 25-year-old Charring Cross man was arrested and charged with failing to comply with a probation order. He was transported to police headquarters and held until sober. He was released with conditions and a future court date April 8, 2024.

Woman Arrested for Impaired Driving CK24009415

At 8:40 p.m., police responded to a traffic complaint on Grand Avenue in Chatham.

Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The officer believed the woman driving to be under the influence of alcohol. She was arrested and transported to police headquarters for tests.

The 56-year-old Chatham woman was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit. She was released with conditions and a future court date. March 11, 2024.

Man Arrested on an Outstanding Warrant CK4009424

At 10:07 p.m., police located the man on Regent Street in Blenheim. Officers confirmed he was wanted on an outstanding warrant as a result of a theft investigation.

The 38-year-old Blenheim man was charged with theft and possession of stolen property. He was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date.

Man Arrested for Assault CK24009459

On March 2, 2024, at 5:10 a.m., officers located the man on Thames Street in Chatham.

The man was wanted on an outstanding warrant as a result of an assault investigation.

The 20-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with assault and mischief. He was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date April 15, 2024.

Woman Arrested for Break and Enter CK24009143

On December 7, 2023, a Conditional Sentence Order warrant was issued for the woman’s arrest.

On January 2, 2024, police responded to a break and enter at a business on Talbot Trail in Harwich Township, where a pick-up truck had been stolen. Later that day, the pick-up truck was recovered on King Street in Chatham. Through investigation, officers identified the woman involved and a warrant was issued for her arrest.

On February 29, 2024, officers located the woman on Pearl Crescent in Chatham and arrested her.
The 40-year-old Chatham woman was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing. She is currently charged with possession of stolen property and break and enter.

Man Arrested for Mischief Endangering Life CK24009163

On January 12, 2024, at 8:38 a.m., police responded to a mischief on Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg.

Through investigation officers learned an individual had gained access to the traffic lights and was manipulating the flow of traffic. Officers identified the man, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On February 29, 2024, at 11:55 a.m., the man attended Chatham-Kent Police headquarters and turned himself into the police.

The 32-year-old Chatham-Kent man was arrested and charged with mischief endangering life. He was released with conditions and a future of April 8, 2024.

Man Arrested for Failing to Attend Court CK24009177

At 12:59 p.m., police responded to James Street in Wallaceburg for a well-being check.

Upon arrival, officers located the man and confirmed he was wanted on an outstanding bench warrant for failing to attend court.

The 36-year-old Walpole Island man was arrested and released with a future court date.

Man Arrested for Failing to Attend Court CK24009226

On February 29, 2024, at 4:13 p.m., police responded to Berry Street in Chatham for an unrelated investigation.

Upon arrival, officers located the man and confirmed he was wanted on an outstanding warrant.

The 30-year-old Chatham man was arrested and transported to police headquarters. He was held pending a bail hearing. He is currently facing the following charges: failing to attend court, two counts of assault and five counts of driving while under suspension.

Man Arrested for Probation Violation CK24009251

At 8:00 p.m., police responded to suspicious activity on Grand Avenue West in Chatham.

Upon arrival, officers located the man and learned he was wanted on outstanding warrants.

The 29-year-old Chatham-Kent man was arrested and released with a future court date of March 18, 2024. He currently faces the following charges: failing to comply with a probation order, and two counts of failing to comply with the Sex Offender Registry Act.

Man Arrested for Impaired Driving CK24009279

On March 1, 2024, at 2:10 a.m., emergency crews responded to a single motor vehicle rollover at Baldoon Road and Pioneer Line in Dover Township.

Upon arrival, the vehicle was located upside down in the ditch. The driver and passenger were extracted and transported to the hospital for minor physical injuries.

Through investigation, officers believed the man driving was under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested.

The 53-year-old Chatham man was charged with impaired driving and failure or refusal to comply with a demand. He was released with conditions and a future court date of March 8, 2024. He was also issued a summons to attend Provincial Court for driving with a suspended driver’s license.
