4 Vehicle Collision – Daniel HUDSON Arrested

(PEMBROKE, ON) – A local driver is facing Criminal Code (CC) charges after a four-vehicle collision in the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment area.

On May 16, 2025, at approximately 11:35 a.m., the UOV OPP responded to a collision involving four vehicles on Pembroke Street West in the City of Pembroke. Investigation found that the vehicle was eastbound on Pembroke Street West near Victoria Street when it lost control and struck three other vehicles and a building. One of the vehicles that was struck also collided with a light pole. No serious injuries were reported. 

As part of the investigation a Roadside Screening Device was utilized, and the driver was transported to the detachment for further testing. 

As a result of this incident 47-year-old Daniel HUDSON of Petawawa has been charged with the following CC offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80mg plus

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days. The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on June 10, 2025.

Firey Crash, Burn & Run – Suspect At Large

(MUSKOKA LAKES TWP, ON) – The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a motor vehicle collision that occurred at a golf course in Muskoka Lakes Township and significant damage was caused.

On May 17, 2025, at 8:15 a.m. Bracebridge OPP officers responded to reports of a single vehicle collision on Golf Avenue Road in Muskoka Lakes Township. The vehicle left the roadway and crashed through a fence coming to rest on a tennis court causing significant damage to the both the property and the vehicle. The driver fled the scene and has not yet been located.

OPP Openly Mock Train Collision

(HURON COUNTY, ON) – The Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP)has partnered with Genesee and Wyoming Railroad (GEXR) and Huron County Emergency Services to conduct a mock collision in the Municipality of Huron East this week.

On Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 08:00 a.m. until approximately 2:00 p.m., Kinburn Line from Huron Road (Hwy 8) to Front Road in Huron East will be closed for the training exercise. There will be an increased presence of various emergency response vehicles in the area and motorists are asked to avoid the area to allow for a safe training environment.

Railway crossing and trespassing incidents in Canada and the U.S. seriously injure or kill more than 2,100 people each year.

“Ignoring railway signs and signals, being distracted at rail stations or crossings, or using tracks as a shortcut or a recreational path can lead to track tragedies that are entirely preventable,” said Provincial Constable Craig Soldan of the Huron County OPP.

The OPP is encouraging people to avoid risky behaviours around tracks and trains, so they stay safe and stay alive.”

12 Year Old Airlifted Following Collision Near Mount Forest

(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) – A 12-year-old child is in critical condition in hospital following a collision near Mount Forest.

On May 10, 2025, at approximately 10:00 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Wellington North Fire Service, and Guelph Wellington Paramedics Service, responded to a farm property in the vicinity of Highway 6 and Sideroad 2, south of Mount Forest.

It was reported that a child riding on a bicycle collided with a skid steer.

The child was transported to a trauma hospital by Ornge air ambulance.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.

Student Van Vs Car Collision – 3 Sent To Hospital

(NORTH GLENGARRY, ON) – The Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Detachment of Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a collision in North Glengarry Township.

On May 7, 2025, shortly before 7:30 a.m. officers responded to a two-vehicle collision on County Road-30 involving a student transportation van and a car in North Glengarry Township.

The initial investigation found that the car collided with the bus. There were two students on the bus at the time. As a precautionary measure the driver of the school bus and students were transported to hospital. The driver of the passenger vehicle was also transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The SD&G OPP continue to investigate, with the assistance of OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) and a Collision Reconstructionist.

Jeffery VALLEAU Arrested Following Collision

(Prince Edward County, ON) – A single vehicle collision has resulted in a driver being charged with impaired operation.

On May 2, 2025, at approximately 12:00 p.m., members of the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a single vehicle collision at Doxsee Road and Black Road in Prince Edward County.

 As a result of the investigation, Jeffery VALLEAU, age 45, from Prince Edward County, was arrested and charged with:

· Operation while impaired – drugs

· Possession of a schedule I substance

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on May 21, 2025. They also had their driver’s license suspended for a period of 90 days and vehicle impounded for 7 days.

23 Year Old Arrestd Following Rock-cut Collision

(WEST NIPISSING, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged a driver with impaired driving offences after responding to a vehicle collision into a rock-cut.

On Saturday May 3, 2025, at approximately 8:35 a.m., the Nipissing West (Sudbury) Detachment of the OPP, along with Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a single motor vehicle collision into a rock cut on Highway 17, Sudbury

The driver was treated at the scene for minor injuries by EMS and was then arrested for impaired driving. A small amount of drugs, suspected to be cannabis was seized from the vehicle.

As a result of the investigation, Ethan ESHKAKOGAN, 23 years-of-age, from Massey, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – drugs
  • Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available
  • Novice driver – presence of drug
  • Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available
  • Novice driver – presence of drug

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on June 4, 2025, in Sudbury.

The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

School Bus Vs Cyclist Collision 73 Year Old Arrested

(KINCARDINE, ON) – On April 25, 2025, at approximately 3:18 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a collision involving a school bus and a cyclist along Russell Street, Municipality of Kincardine.

Officers responded to the area to discover that a student operating a bicycle was struck by a school bus. The student had minor injuries and did not require immediate medical attention.

The driver, a 73-year-old resident of Howick, has been charged with the following:

  • Careless driving, HTA 130(1)

Jeffery Mole Arrested Following Collision

(GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – An individual from South Bruce Peninsula is facing impaired driving-related charges stemming from a single motor vehicle collision that had occurred on Sideroad 9, in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.

On April 26, 2025, at approximately 9:13 a.m., the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a report of a single motor vehicle collision on Sideroad 9, in the Township of Georgian Bluffs. The driver had swerved to avoid a turkey and lost control of the vehicle, ending up in a ditch.

Jeffery Mole, 44-years-old, of South Bruce Peninsula, is charged with:

  • Operation while Impaired – Alcohol
  • Operation while Impaired – 80 plus

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on May 15, 2025.

One Airlifted Following Collision

(NORTH PERTH, ON) – One person has been injured following a single motor vehicle collision in the Municipality of North Perth.

On April 26, 2025 shortly after 10:00 p.m. the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Perth County Paramedic Services, Ornge Air Ambulance and the North Perth Fire Department, responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle on Perth Line 77, in the Municipality of North Perth.

As a result of the collision the 29-year-old male driver was air lifted to a local trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.

Perth Line 77 was temporarily closed but has since been reopened. Members of the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team and Perth County OPP are still investigating this collision.

Motorcyclist Sent To Hospital

(BAYHAM, ON) – Elgin County OPP investigating a serious single vehicle collision, which sent a motorcyclist to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

On April 23, 2025, at approximately 3:50 p.m., emergency services including members of the Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Elgin County Paramedic Service and local fire, were dispatched to Richmond Road in the Municipality of Bayham, for a single vehicle collision involving a motorcycle.

The lone rider was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Richmond Street remained closed between James Line and Heritage Line for approximately 6 hours for the investigation. The road has since opened.

Members of the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) attended the scene to assist with the investigation.

School Bus Roll Over

(ALBERTON TWP, ON) – The Fort Frances Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a school bus collision that occurred on Hwy 611 in Alberton Township.

On April 15, 2025, at approximately 8:30 am, the Fort Frances OPP responded to a report of a single vehicle, school bus roll over on Hwy 611. The bus had students on board. There are no apparent injuries as a result of the collision. The cause of the collision has not yet been determined.

The Fort Frances OPP is continuing the investigation with assistance from the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) Team, and the Treaty Three Police Service. Two Technical Collision Investigators have been assigned to the case.

Traffic on Hwy 611 will be restricted to allow investigators to safely work the scene.

One Airlifted Following Collision

Waterloo Region, Ontario  WRPS’ Traffic Services Unit is investigating a serious collision involving a single motor vehicle in Kitchener.

On April 12, 2025, at approximately 11:10 a.m., emergency services responded to reports of a collision involving a Hyundai sedan on Ottawa Street South near Strasburg Road. 

The Hyundai left the roadway striking a hydro pole, fence, and eventually a structure in the backyard of a nearby residential home.

The driver of the Hyundai, a 26-year-old male from Kitchener, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to an out of region hospital. A 29-year-old female passenger in the vehicle sustained minor injuries. 

A section of Ottawa Street South was closed for a lengthy period of time for the investigation and hydro repairs.

The investigation is ongoing.  Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage is encouraged to call police at 519-570-9777 extension 8856.

School Bus Involved In Collision – Goderich Resident Charged

(LAMBTON SHORES, ON) – The Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual following a collision in the Municipality of Lambton Shores.

On April 7, 2025, at approximately 4:15 p.m., members of the Lambton County OPP responded to a collision involving a school bus and passenger vehicle at the intersection of Lakeshore Road and Parkview Crescent.

There were students on the bus at the time of the collision, fortunately there were no injuries reported.

As a result of the investigation, a 38-year-old of Goderich was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with the following offence:

  • Pass – roadway not clear – overtaking traffic

School Bus Involved In Colision

(PLYMPTON-WYOMING, ON) – The Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual following a collision in Plympton-Wyoming.

On March 31, 2025, shortly after 7:00 a.m., members of the Lambton County OPP responded to a collision involving a school bus and passenger vehicle on Fleming Road, north of Lakeshore Road in Plympton-Wyoming.

There were passengers on the bus at the time of the collision, fortunately there were no injuries reported.

As a result of the investigation, a 41-year-old of Camlachie was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with Carless Driving.
