Philip RHORA – Break & Enter

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – A break-and-enter investigation in Simcoe has led to multiple charges against an individual.

At approximately 9:37 a.m. on Friday, February 7, 2025, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment investigated a break-and-enter on Norfolk Street South in Simcoe, Norfolk County.

It was determined that shortly before 5:00 a.m., an individual unlawfully entered a business, stole multiple electronic items along with a quantity of Canadian currency, and then fled the area on foot.

Officers later found an individual on Kent Street North in Simcoe who matched the suspect’s description. The individual was taken into custody without incident.

During a search of the individual, officers recovered stolen property linked to this incident, along with items connected to thefts from motor vehicles reported earlier that day on Tulip Crescent in Simcoe.

43-year-old Philip RHORA from Haldimand County has been charged with the following alleged offences:

  • Break, enter a place – commit indictable offence,
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 (six counts).

The accused has been held in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Monday, February 10, 2025.

Keith VAN DAM Wanted By Police

(PICTON, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit has arrested one person and is searching for another, after a restaurant break-in in Picton.

The incident was reported on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. Someone had entered the business on Main Street sometime overnight and made-off with a large quantity of alcohol.

As a result of the investigation one individual has been arrested by members of the Street Crime Unit and Prince Eward County Detachment, assisted by the OPP Emergency Response Team and the Canine Unit.

Lucas BOUDREAU, age 29 of Picton, has been charged with:

  • Break and enter to commit an indictable offence
  • Theft under $5000

This accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton on March 19, 2025.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Keith VAN DAM, age 37 of Prince Edward County, on charges of:

  • Break and enter to commit an indictable offence
  • Theft under $5000
  • Fail to comply with a probation order

Break & Enter – Clinton HARRIS Arrested

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Stratford resident following an attempted break-in at a Central Huron residence on January 29, 2025. 

Just after 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, Huron County OPP officers were contacted by a homeowner who reported a break-in attempt. The suspect description was provided to police.

Officers attended the area and located the suspect nearby, who was arrested and charged as follows:

Clinton HARRIS, 33 years-of-age from Stratford has been charged with:

–      Break and Enter.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich, on March 10, 2025.

Christopher PEPE – Break & Enter

(GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On January 27, 2025, at approximately 7:03 a.m., the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a break & enter to a business property along Highway 6-10, Township of Georgian Bluffs.

Police attended and found that scrap copper was stolen from the business. The accused was identified by surveillance camera footage and arrested shortly thereafter.

Christopher PEPE, 44-years-old of no fixed address, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Break & Enter, CC 348(1)(b)
  • Theft under $5000, CC 334(b)
  • Mischief under $5000, CC 430(4)
  • Fail to comply with undertaking, CC 145(4)(a)

The accused was held for a bail hearing and later released; to reappear at the Owen Sound Court of Justice on February 13, 2025.

FRASER – Break & Enter, Theft

(MEAFORD, ON) – On January 26, 2025, at approximately 11:13 p.m., the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a break & enter at the LCBO along Nelson Street West, Municipality of Meaford.

Police attended and observed the glass in front entrance to be smashed. OPP Canine and members of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) attended to assist.

As a result of the investigation, Christopher FRASER, 41-years-old of Meaford, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Theft under $5000, CC 334(b)

The accused is set to appear in the Owen Sound Court of Justice on February 27, 2025, to answer to the charges.

(FORT FRANCES , ON) – Rainy River District Detachment (Fort Frances) of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested three individuals following an investigation of a Break and Enter into a residence.

On January 26, 2025, just after 01:00 a.m. members of the Rainy River District Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to reports of a Break and Enter at a Fort Frances address

Upon attending the residence police observed signs that someone had recently been inside the residence other than the owner.

(HURON EAST, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Huron East resident following a break-in at a Huron East business property on January 16, 2025. 

Just after noon, on Thursday, January 16, 2025, Huron County OPP officers were contacted by a business owner who reported a break-in with the suspect still at the scene.

Officers attended and located the suspect, who was arrested and charged as follows:

Jennifer BABIN – Theft, Break & Enter, Etc.

(PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY, ON) – Members of the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested one person in connection with an early morning break and enter.

On January 15, 2025, officers were investigating an unrelated matter which led them to the discovery of a break and enter at a business on Wellington Main Street in Prince Edward County. An individual was located inside the business and subsequently arrested.

As a result of the investigation, Jennifer BABIN, age 41, from Prince Edward County was charged with:

  • Theft under $5000
  • Break and enter
  • Mischief
  • Possession of a Schedule 1 substance

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Prince Edward County on February 5, 2025.

Craig SZATROWSKI – Break & Enter, Theft

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – An individual has been charged following a break-and-enter investigation at Norfolk General Hospital.

At approximately 3:17 a.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment responded to a break-and-enter in progress at Norfolk General Hospital on West Street in Simcoe, Norfolk County.

It was determined that two individuals unlawfully entered the exterior property, targeting an outbuilding, and attempted to steal various items.

Officers located and arrested one of the suspects on Elgin Avenue in Simcoe, while the second suspect, described as wearing a multi-coloured bomber-style jacket, fled the scene on foot.

48-year-old Craig SZATROWSKI from Norfolk County has been charged with the following alleged offences:

  • Break, enter a place – commit indictable offence,
  • Theft under $5,000.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

Police arrested a suspect after a pair of businesses were broken into over the weekend.

Thunder Bay Police Service officers with the Primary Response Branch were dispatched to the 600 block of Arthur Street West shortly after 7 a.m. on Saturday, January 11, after receiving reports of a break-in.

Responding officers found that a business window had been smashed by the suspect to gain entry. Officers also found evidence that an adjacent business was also damaged by the suspect.

A suspect was quickly located and arrested after a brief foot chase. The suspect was identified after initially providing officers with false names.

Yzerman Tyrell KAKEGAMIC, 26, is charged with the following:
• Break and Enter to Commit an Indictable Offence x2
• Mischief Over $5,000
• Mischief Under $5,000
• Obstruct Peace Officer
• Theft Under $5,000
• False Alarm of Fire

The accused appeared in court over the weekend and has been released from custody with conditions and a future appearance date.

Break & Enter – 3 Arrested

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – Three individuals have been charged following a break-and-enter investigation in Simcoe.

At approximately 5:27 p.m. on Monday, January 13, 2025, officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment responded to a reported break-and-enter on Norfolk Street South in Simcoe, Norfolk County.

It was determined that a group of individuals had unlawfully entered a business on the property.

Officers located three individuals on the premises and took them into custody without incident. A search of the individuals led to the discovery and seizure of suspected fentanyl, ecstasy, morphine, and Canadian currency.

36-year-old Kirbie WAMSLEY from Haldimand County has been charged with the following alleged offences:

  • Break, enter a place – commit indictable offence,
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance – opioid (other than heroin),
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance – methylenedioxyamphetamine (ecstasy)

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.

45-year-old Zachariah SOLOMON from Six Nations of the Grand River First Nation has been charged with the following alleged offences:

  • Break, enter a place – commit indictable offence,
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance – other drugs.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.

47-year-old Jason BALCOMB from Norfolk County has been charged with the following alleged offences:

  • Break, enter a place – commit indictable offence,
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – opioid (other than heroin),
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime – under $5,000 (in Canada),
  • Fail to comply with Probation Order.

The accused has been held in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.

14 Year Old Arrested For Break & Enter In Kincardine

(KINCARDINE, ON) – On January 11, 2025, at approximately 12:52 a.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a break & enter at a business property along Queen Street, Municipality of Kincardine.

OPP Canine and members of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) located one individual a short distance from the scene; they were then taken in custody.

As a result of the investigation, a 14-year-old from Kincardine, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Theft under $5,000 – CC 334(b)
  • Possession of stolen property under $5,000 – CC 355(b)
  • Mischief under $5,000 – CC 430(4) – two counts

The youth’s identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Walkerton Court of Justice at a later date.

COYNE – Break & Enter

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – An individual has been charged following a break-and-enter investigation in Simcoe.

At approximately 2:04 p.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2025, officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment responded to a break-and-enter in progress on Donly Drive South in Simcoe, Norfolk County.

It was determined that an individual unlawfully entered a business on the property. Upon being confronted by officers, the suspect fled on foot. Officers later located and arrested the individual on Victoria Street in Simcoe without further incident.

40-year-old Danny COYNE from Norfolk County has been charged with the following alleged offence:

  • Break, enter a place – with intent to commit indictable offence.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.

Brenda Knight Was Arrested

On January 8th police responded to a trespassing complaint at a residence within the 700 block of Devine Street in Sarnia.  Investigators discovered that a residence had been broken into, and items stolen from within. 

Further investigation revealed that the occupant of the residence had been incarcerated for a period of time on another matter.  While his residence was unattended, another individual was able to gain entry to the property, stealing multiple items from inside.  The stolen property was then being offered for sale on the front lawn, prompting neighbours to contact police.  

Brenda Knight, 55 years of Sarnia, has been charged with Break and Enter.  She was held for a bail hearing and later released with conditions.

Erica VARLEY – Break & Enter

(QUINTE WEST, ON) – Two individuals are facing Break and Enter and Theft offences after an incident in Quinte West.   

On Thursday January 9, 2025, members of Quinte West Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a break and enter in progress on Adrian Court, in the City of Quinte West. Officers had just completed a search warrant at the residence earlier that morning. Police attended this time and arrested two parties in the residence.

Erica VARLEY, age 33 from Quinte West, has been charged with:  

  • Break and enter – with intent to commit indictable offence
  • Theft under $5000

Failure to comply with an undertaking, and was held for a bail hearing.

Brian CALLADINE, age 47 of Quinte West, has been charged with: Break and enter – with intent to commit indictable offence. This accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville at a later date.
