Georgia Quanbury Was Arrested Again – Assault With Weapon

(MIDLAND, ON) One person was treated for wounds and another is facing charges following a dispute in a Midland apartment complex yesterday.

On February 14, 2025 at about 4:00 p.m., members of the Southern Georgian Bay detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police(OPP) responded to an apartment complex on King Street in the Town of Midland following a complaint by a female saying that she had been stabbed during a dispute with another person.

Police located the victim, who was tended to by Simcoe County Paramedics and transported to hospital for her injuries which are not believed to be serious.

Officers entered into an investigation to locate the person responsible and were led to an apartment in the complex where a suspect was placed under arrest. During the investigation, it was learned that the suspect was bound by a release order with conditions following charges for a serious incident in the summer of 2024.

As a result of this investigation, Georgia Quanbury, 26 years of Midland was charged with the following offences contrary to the Criminal Code:

  • Assault with a Weapon
  • Utter Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm
  • Failure to Comply with Release Order

The accused was held for a bail hearing to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie on February 15, 2025.

Patrick FLETCHER Was Arrested – Details Released

(ARRAN-ELDERSLIE, ON) – On February 13, 2025, at approximately 7:50 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a disturbance at an address along 1st Avenue South in Chesley. 

While police were on scene, an individual became assaultive with officers. They were subsequently placed under arrest. No injuries were sustained by police or the accused.

As a result of the investigation, Patrick FLETCHER, 35-years-old from Arran-Elderslie has been charged with:

  • Assault police, CC 270(1)(a)
  • Obstruct peace officer, CC 129(1)

The accused is set to appear in the Walkerton Court of Justice on March 26, 2025 to answer to the charges.

Ainsley ASSIN Was Arrested

(KENORA, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Kenora have arrested and charged one individual with assault following an altercation.

On February 6th, 2025, at approximately 6:15 p.m., members of the Kenora OPP Detachment responded to an incident on Matheson Street South, in the City of Kenora. Officers attended and spoke to several individuals. Through the investigation, it was determined that the female had assaulted an individual on the property and then proceeded to enter the individual’s vehicle in the parking lot.

Ainsley ASSIN, 20-years-old of Kenora Ontario has been charged under the Criminal Code with Assault. She was further trespassed from the property.

The accused has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kenora at a later date.

Brett FLEURY Facing Assault Charges

(PEMBROKE, ON) – A Saskatchewan resident is facing several charges, including assault and weapons offences, after an incident at a store in downtown Pembroke. 

On February 8, 2025, at approximately 9:45 a.m. members of the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an assault with a weapon. The attacker had fled the scene, but police arrested an individual on a nearby street. Officers seized an edged weapon as part of the investigation. 

Investigation found that a victim in the store had been assaulted with an edged weapon and sustained minor injuries. Three other victims in the area were threatened and one was also physically assaulted.  

As a result of this incident 40-year-old Brett FLEURY of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan has been charged with the following Criminal Code (CC) offences:

  • Assault with a weapon
  • Assault – two counts
  • Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm – four counts

The accused was held for a bail hearing and remains in custody until their next appearance on February 11, 2025, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke.

Sebastien LAVERGNE – Assault With Weapon

(PERTH, ON) – An Ottawa resident faces charges after an apparent case of road rage. 

Officers with the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at approximately 5:45 p.m. 

A vehicle was reported to be travelling on Highway 7 near Perth in a dangerous manner, which led to an alleged road rage incident. This involved one driver approaching the other with a hammer in a parking lot. No injuries were reported.

As a result of the investigation, Sebastien LAVERGNE, age 21, has been charged with:

  • Assault with a weapon
  • Dangerous operation of a vehicle

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on March 3, 2025.

Bradyn ANDERSON – Aggravated Assault, Etc.

(Pembroke, ON) – An individual wanted on an arrest warrant for a serious incident in Pembroke, was located and arrested by the ROPE squad (OPP).

Quinton Racine, a 26-year-old male, from Westmeath was located and arrested just after 11:45 am on February 9, 2025 at an address in Pembroke.

The accused will remain in custody and will appear for a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice, in Pembroke on February 10, 2025.

As a result of the investigation, an arrest warrant has now been issued for Bradyn ANDERSON, age 22 of Waltham, Quebec. who faces the Criminal Code charges of:

·      Assault with a weapon – section 267(a)

·      Aggravated assault – section 268

·      Forcible confinement – section 279(2)

·      Disguise with intent – section 351(2)

·      Mischief – section 430

Suspect Attempts To Disarm Officer, Injures Two Others While Resisting Arrest

A suspect faces multiple charges after assaulting officers while resisting arrest.

Thunder Bay Police Service Primary Response officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Syndicate Avenue South shortly before 4 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4, to arrest an individual who was wanted on a warrant.

The individual initially tried to flee from officers but was quickly captured. The male attempted to grab at an officer’s firearm and assaulted three officers while they attempted to place him into a police cruiser. Two of those officers sustained injuries.

Timothy Dominic BRISARD, 40, is charged with Assault Peace Officer x3, Obstruct Peace Officer, and Disarm Peace Officer.

The accused appeared in court on Wednesday and has been remanded into custody with a future appearance date.

School Assault With Weapon – One Arrested

(QUINTE WEST, ON) – The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a young person in relation to an incident at a local school.

On Tuesday February 5, 2025, at approximately 3:10 p.m., Quinte West OPP responded to a school on County Road 40, where it was reported a young person was threatening a staff member. There were no injuries in the incident.

As a result of the investigation a youth from the Quinte Area was arrested and charged with:

  • Assault with A Weapon;
  • Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose

The accused has been released with a future court date. The name of the youth is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH TWP, ON) – On January 31st, 2025, members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a matter involving intimate partners in Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh Township (ACW Twp).

As a result of the investigation, OPP learned that the involved suspect had allegedly committed a criminal act against their partner.

A 26-year-old individual from ACW Twp has been arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offence:

–      Assault – Spousal.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court date scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on March 03, 2025.

Isaiah Findlay Was Arrested – Details Relased

LONDON, ON (February 4, 2025) – A London man is facing charges after assaulting a security officer in the downtown core yesterday morning.

On Monday, February 3, 2025, at approximately 9:50 a.m., a man was being escorted out of an establishment in the 300-block of Wellington Street when he became aggressive and proceeded to assault a security officer.

Police were contacted and responded to the area.

When officers placed the suspect male under arrest, he resisted police and uttered threats towards the security officers.

The victim sustained minor injuries.

As a result of the investigation, Isaiah Findlay, 22, of London, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Assault;
  • Uttering threats of death or bodily harm; and
  • Resist arrest.

The accused is expected to appear in London court today in relation to the charges.

Ronald WHITE – Aggravated Assault

(KIRKLAND LAKEON) – Police arrested and charged one person after one individual was transported to the hospital.

On January 30, 2025, at approximately 6:35 a.m., the Kirkland Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a disturbance at a residence on Government Road, Kirkland Lake.

One person was arrested, while another individual was transported to the local hospital with serious life-threatening injuries by EMS.

As a result of the investigation, Ronald WHITE, 47 years-of-age, from Kirkland Lake, was charged with, aggravated assault.

The accused was held for Bail Court and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on January 30, 2025, in Kirkland Lake.

The investigation is in the early stages and no further details can be released at this time. Residents of the area should expect to continue to see a police presence.

The OPP would like to advise the public, that this was an isolated event and there are no safety concerns to the public.

(PETROLIA, ON) – A disturbance in Petrolia leads to charges.

On January 24, 2025, shortly after 5:30 p.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to an address on Petrolia Line, Petrolia, for a report of a disturbance.

The investigation revealed that one individual was assaulted, resulting in non-life-threatening injuries.

As a result, Joseph DERUSH, 50-year-old of Petrolia has been arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:

  • Assault
  • Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Sarnia on March 10, 2025.

Colin LAKE Was Arrested

(CENTRE WELLINGTON TWP, ON) – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charges local resident criminally after assaulting a police officer.

On January 26, 2025, at approximately 3:30 p.m., the Wellington County OPP detected a suspicious motor vehicle which led to a traffic stop being conducted on Third Line within Centre Wellington Township.

As a result of the investigation, Colin LAKE, a 37-year-old from Centre Wellington was charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Assault a Peace Officer

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on February 28, 2025.

Educational Assistant Arrested for the Assault of a Student – Name Released

On January 10, 2025, detectives from the Niagara Regional Police Service Child Abuse Unit (CAU) began an investigation regarding an alleged assault of a student at a St. Catharines school.

The initial investigation determined that on December 17, 2024, the victim (a child under 9 years old) was involved in a disturbance in a classroom at St. Alfred School on Vine Street in St. Catharines.

The victim was physically removed from the classroom by two educational assistants to another room in the school. Once there, one of the educational assistants physically assaulted the child. The child was then assaulted with a weapon (blanket) by the same educational assistant.

The child was not physically injured. The age and gender of the victim are not being released in order to protect their identity.

On January 24, 2025, detectives arrested and charged Adam Martynek (28 years old) of St. Catharines with the Criminal Code offences of:

  • Assault
  • Assault with a Weapon

Martynek was held in custody for a video bail hearing to the Robert S. K. Welch Courthouse in St. Catharines on January 24, 2025.

Violent Home Invasion – Preston GRATTON Arrested

(UNINCORPORATED TERRITORYON) – Police arrested and charged one person after responding to a family dispute

On January 23, 2025, at approximately 4:20 p.m., the Nipissing West (Sudbury) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a family dispute on Ministic Lake Road, Unincorporated Territory, north of Sudbury.

A family member attended the property and entered the residence by force, then assaulted an individual with a handheld tool. The victim received minor injuries and was transported to the local hospital by Emergency Medical Services.

As a result of the investigation, Preston GRATTON, 26 years-of-age, from Copper Cliff, was arrested and charged with:

  • Break, enter dwelling house – commit indictable offence
  • Assault with a weapon – two counts
  • Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm

The accused was held for Bail Court and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on January 24, 2025, in Sudbury.
