(PERTH EAST, ON) – On August 17, 2021 just after 9:30 a.m., the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a break, enter and theft to a shed in the Township of Perth East.
Sometime between August 16, 2021 and August 17, 2021 unknown person(s) entered a shed in the area of Mill Street in Milverton, and removed a 2006 Polaris All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV). The ATV was subsequently recovered in another jurisdiction on August 18, 2021. The investigation is currently on-going at this time.
The public is asked to report suspicious activity immediately, and remember to lock doors to vehicles, houses, garages and sheds. Do not leave keys with vehicles, including ATVs. Consider installing security features, such as increased lighting, cameras, or alarms.
(NORTH PERTH, ON) – On August 10, 2021, just after 9:00 a.m., the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was alerted to a suspicious person at a local business. Police attended the business on Main Street in Listowel and observed a motor vehicle parked in the parking lot with an occupant in the driver’s seat, who appeared to be sleeping. Police spoke with the occupant who was showing signs of impairment. The individual was arrested and transported to a local OPP detachment where further tests were administered.
As a result, Steven KUEPFER, a 30-year-old resident of Huron East, has been charged with:

Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine
A 90-day driving suspension and seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute. The accused in this matter was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charge.

(NORTH PERTH, ON) – On August 9, 2021, just before 10:00 a.m., the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was requested to attend the parking lot of a local business on Mitchell Road South in Listowel, after a vehicle appeared to have been in a minor collision, causing some property damage.
An investigation was initiated and a Standard Field Sobriety Test was conducted. The driver was arrested and transported to a local OPP detachment where further tests were completed.

(PERTH EAST, ON) – On August 9, 2021, a Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer attended a residence in the Township of Perth East to speak with an individual who had contacted the Ontario Provincial Police dispatch several times, beginning just before 10:00 p.m. An investigation was initiated, and it was determined that there was no emergency. Despite being warned to stop misusing the emergency service, the individual continued to call police.
As a result, Alexander PETROPOULOS, 27, of Township of Perth East, has been charged with:

(WEST PERTH, ON) – One person is facing a criminal charge as a result of a domestic incident in West Perth.
On August 7, 2021 shortly after 8:30 p.m. Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was dispatched to a report of an assault in the area of Trafalgar Street in Mitchell. Police attended and an investigation was initiated.
A 43-year-old was arrested and charged with:
– Assault Cause Bodily Harm – Choke, Suffocate, or Strangle

(WEST PERTH, ON) – On August 8, 2021, just before 10:00 p.m., a Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer on general patrol in the Municipality of West Perth conducted a traffic stop on a motor vehicle traveling on Perth Line 20. Police spoke with the vehicle driver and an Approved Screening Device was utilized. The driver was arrested and transported to a local OPP detachment where further tests were administered.
As a result, Eagaz KARIMI, a 21-year-old resident of Kitchener was charged with:

(NORTH PERTH, ON) – On July 30, 2021, just after 1:00 a.m., Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were involved in an investigation into a Highway Traffic Act offence on Wallace Ave North, Listowel. Police identified the individuals as being previously involved in a theft from a business in Monkton on June 8, 2021.
As a result, Bryan DEVEREAUX, a 44-year-old resident of Kitchener was arrested and charged with:

(LAKESHORE, ON) – On Thursday, August 19, 2021, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) continue their investigation into a theft of a motor vehicle and theft of fuel from addresses in the Municipality of Lakeshore.
The stolen pickup truck has since been recovered in the City of Windsor.
Photos have been obtained of two persons of interests. It is the belief of investigators that the male dressed in black, wearing a black Air Jordan baseball cap and black and grey baseball gloves, was operating the stolen pickup truck.
A second male arrived at the gas station at the same time in separate black vehicle and may have been travelling with the suspect. The second male is described as bald and wearing a black shirt and shorts.
Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying these individuals.
On Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at approximately 03:20 a.m., the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Lakeshore Detachment received a report of a stolen motor vehicle from a residence on Oriole Park Drive in the Town of Lakeshore.
The investigation determined, a grey 2009 Ford F-150 crew cab pickup truck was stolen from the homeowner’s driveway. The stolen vehicle has a lot of rust around the rear wheel wells.
At approximately 03:57 a.m. officers learned a suspect filled up the stolen vehicle in Comber and fled the gas station after failing to pay for $10.60 in gasoline.

(BRANT COUNTY, ON) – On Wednesday August 18, 2021 at approximately 6:49 a.m. officers with the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call for a single vehicle collision on Jerseyville Road in the County of Brant.
Officers located the lone occupant of the vehicle who was arrested and transported to the Brant County OPP detachment for testing.
Police have charged Gayle BOOK, 53 years-of-age from Brant County with:

Police attended Fulton Street in Milverton where an investigation was initiated. It was learned that one person threatened to stab another.
As a result, Alexander PETROPOULOS, a 27-year-old resident of Perth East Township was arrested and charged with:

(WEST PERTH, ON) – On Thursday August 5, 2021 just after 8:00 a.m., the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a break, enter and theft to a business in the Municipality of West Perth.
Sometime between August 4, 2021 and August 5, 2021 unknown person(s) entered a business in Monkton, removed keys for multiple motor vehicles and stole a truck owned by the business. The value of all items taken is estimated to be over $20,000. The investigation is currently on-going at this time
(SOUTHGATE, ON) – Investigators have charged one individual following a joint investigation into the murder of a Hamilton woman in 2018.
On August 17, 2021, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Hamilton Police Service, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), arrested and charged Ahmet NIKCI, 40-years old of no fixed address with Second Degree Murder and Indignity to a Body.
The accused is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Hamilton at a later date.
On December 24, 2019, the remains of Monica CHISAR were found in the area of Southgate Road 10, east of Highway 6 in the Township of Southgate. The deceased was last seen in Hamilton on July 11, 2018 and was reported missing by her family in September 2018.
