(ONEIDA NATION OF THE THAMES FIRST NATION, ON) – Suspicious vehicle leads to charges and recovery of two stolen vehicles.
On August 13, 2024, at 6:59 a.m., a member of the Oneida Nation Police Service, while on general patrol, was alerted to suspicious vehicle parked on Iroquois Road, Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation.
An individual was observed sleeping in the vehicle, at which time a traffic stop was initiated.
The vehicle had previously been reported stolen out of the City of London. A second vehicle, on the same property, had previously been reported as stolen out of Strathroy and was also recovered.
As a result, Wilfred LOWE, a 32-year-old of Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation has been charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 (two counts)
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on October 16, 2024.
