Jaxon Peter Facing Numerous Charges

LONDON, ON (February 3, 2025) – A London man has been charged after members of the London Police Service Traffic Management Unit located a speeding vehicle in the south end of the city over the weekend.

At approximately 9:35 a.m., on Saturday, February 1, 2025, officers conducting traffic enforcement in the area of Wharncliffe Road South and Savoy Street observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed.

The suspect vehicle hit another vehicle as it passed police and continued travelling on the roadway in an unsafe manner.

Police attempted to stop the vehicle which fled from them, continuing at a high rate of speed.

Officers did not initiate a pursuit and provided a description of the vehicle to other officers in the area.

The vehicle was located parked a short distance away still running.

The male driver attempted to flee on foot before being arrested by police.

No injuries were reported.

As a result of the investigation, Jaxon Peter, 22, of London has been charged with the following offences:

  • Impaired operation of a conveyance;
  • Impaired exceed blood alcohol concentration;
  • Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle;
  • Fail to stop at the scene of an accident;
  • Fail to stop for police/pursuit; and,
  • Race a motor vehicle.

The accused is scheduled to appear in London court on February 27, 2025, in relation to the charges.
