Christian EADE & William HAYTER Were Arrested

(POINT EDWARD, ON) – Members of the Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged two individuals following an investigation into suspicious activity in the Village of Point Edward.

On January 14, 2026, at approximately at 3:50 a.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity at an address on Mara Street.

As a result of the investigation, Christian EADE, 36-year-old of Barrie, and William HAYTER, 42-year-old of Sarnia were arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with possession of property obtained by crime.

The accused have been released from police custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on February 2, 2026, in the City of Sarnia.

The Lambton OPP reminds residents to lock vehicle doors, remove valuables, remain alert, and report suspicious activity immediately by calling 1-888-310-1122 or *677 (*OPP) from a cell phone.
