On April 29th, 2014 at approximately 8:45pm the Waterloo Regional Police Service arrested three young persons, who were inside a stolen motor vehicle at the Kitchener Auditorium, 400 East Ave. Kitchener. The vehicle had previously been stolen from a Kitchener residence along with other items on April 27th, 2014 during a break and enter. After police investigation, two of the young people were released unconditionally. The third 15 year old male was charged with several criminal offences, including two counts of break/Enter and theft, theft of a motor vehicle, three counts of failing to comply with his probation, theft under $5000.00 and possession of stolen property under $5000.00. The accused was held for showcause court on April 30th, 2014.

Vehicle Theft
On Wednesday April 30, 2014 at 9:00 a.m., a guest at the Parkview Motel was packing his belongings into his vehicle prior to checking out. The accused, who was residing in an adjoining room, entered the unoccupied vehicle and sped off in a northbound direction on Woolwich Street.
At 9:08 a.m., the accused attended to gas bar on Woodlawn Road, and re-fueled the vehicle. When the accused attempted to leave, making no attempt to pay for the gas, the attendant left the kiosk and stood in his path. The accused accelerated the vehicle toward the attendant. The attendant jumped backward to avoid being struck and in doing so fell back into a metal door hurting his lower back and the back of his head. The vehicle sped off westbound on Woodlawn Road.
The accused was later observed driving the vehicle at Paisley Road and the Hanlon heading west. Several marked units coordinated a rolling block on the vehicle which was brought to a stop on Wellington Road #32.
A 61 year old male of no fixed address has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle and two counts of breach of probation. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a woman following a disturbance in Chatham yesterday morning.
Around 7:30 a.m. police responded to a residence on Victoria Avenue in regards to a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers observed the woman kicking the front door of a residence as she was yelling and swearing. The woman actually broke the pane glass in the door causing about $500 damage. The woman fled the area on foot, however was apprehended a short distance away. During the arrest, the woman continually pulled her arms away from the officers in attempt to resist being taken into custody. While at police headquarters, the woman continued to be uncooperative and bit the hand of an officer. While being placed in a cell, the woman defecated and threw her own feces towards the officers.
Through investigation, police learned that the woman attended the same residence on Victoria Avenue around 2:00 a.m. and assaulted the male homeowner causing him to seek medical attention for minor injuries.
The 28-year-old Chatham woman has been charged with assault causing bodily harm, mischief under $5000 x2, resisting arrest and assaulting a peace officer. She was transported to the courthouse pending a bail hearing.
Man Charged with Break and Enter
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man in connection with a break and enter in Chatham.
Last night around 7:30 p.m. a citizen observed an insecure door to a residence on Orchard Heights. The citizen, known to the homeowner, entered the residence and found the man in the basement. The man fled the residence prior to police arrival.
Shortly after 8:00 p.m. officers located the man and he was taken into custody following a short foot chase. Through investigation, police learned that the man had removed two bicycles valued at $150 from the residence on Orchard Heights earlier in the night.
The 29-year-old man of no fixed address has been charged with break and enter. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

On April 29th Barrie Police were called to a south end residence to speak with the parents of a 16 year old youth.
The parents report their son had punched numerous holes in the walls of the family home and was becoming extremely aggressive with family members.
Barrie Police attended but the youth ran away prior to Police arrival.
On the morning of April 30th Police were called back to the residence as the parents had found their son asleep in his bed.
The youth was arrested and charged with 4 counts of mischief and two counts of breaching his probation and taken to the Barrie Court house for a bail hearing.
Distraction theft at South Keys
(Ottawa) The Ottawa Police Service is asking the public for assistance in identifying the suspects of a distraction theft incident that occurred on April 3, 2014 in the parking lot of South Keys.
At approximately 5:00-5:30pm, a woman returned to her car and a male approached her and told her she had a flat tire on the rear passenger side of her car.
This male had a small compressor with him and offered to put air in her tire. Since the tire had a cut in it, the male was not able to put air in it. The male left, leaving the compressor behind, stating he would return soon. He never returned.
The woman soon noticed her purse was missing.
The male is described as a Caucasian male, possibly of Italian descent, 45-60 years old, and he spoke poor English. He was poorly dressed, wearing a black jacket and hat (no picture available).
A short time later, a female attempted to use the victim’s debit card at a bank machine in the area. Images of the female were captured on security video and are available (see attached photos). She is described as a female of Middle Eastern descent, 5’3†to 5’5†tall (160-165cm), average build with long brown hair.
People are also reminded that, should they be in a similar situation, to keep an eye on their property and contact police should they suspect the persons involved may be attempting a distraction fraud or theft.

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Just before 3:30 a.m. Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Huron County EMS and Goderich Fire Department personnel responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Black’s Point Road near Huron Road.
The driver of a Dodge Ram pickup was travelling eastbound on Black’s Point Road when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road. His vehicle left the roadway and struck a hydro pole on the east side of the road.
The driver, 31 year old Corey Austin from Central Huron has been transported to hospital in London with life threatening injuries.
Officers from OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation (TTCI) team are currently on scene investigating.
Black’s Point Road is closed between Huron Road and Porter’s Hill Line. Please use alternate routes to avoid delays.

(COUNTY OF BRANT, ON) – The County of Brant Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), officers are investigating a break and enter to the Sun Kissed Tan on King George Road in the County of Brant.
Officers were called to an intrusion alarm at approximately 3:10 a.m. on Thursday May 1st, 2014. Officers arrived a short time later and found the front glass door was broken. The suspects took a small amount of cash and tanning products.

(NORWICH TOWNSHIP, ON.) -The Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating several break and enters in Norwich Township.
On April 23, 2014 sometime between 9:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. entry was gained by suspects to a residence on Grove Street in Otterville. Numerous items were taken including cash, credit cards, alcohol, and a tablet. How entry was gained into the residence is unknown.
Sometime overnight on April 28, 2014 between 10:00 p.m. and 5:45 a.m., suspects gained entry through the rear door of a residence on North Court Street, West in Norwich. The suspects removed clothing and a wallet with its contents from the residence. The owner’s vehicle was also entered during this time period.
On April 30, 2014 overnight between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., suspects gained entry through an unlocked door to a residence on Washington Street, Norwich. Taking were various items including a wallet, purse, identification, credit cards, and cash.

MISCHIEF TO PINE GLEN SCHOOL
(HUNTSVILLE, ON) On Monday April 28, 2014 just after 8:00am the teachers of Pine Glen Public school arrived to find some graffiti that had been painted on the outside wall of their school.
Sometime over the weekend unknown culprits were hanging around the back of the school decided to paint graffiti and symbols on the school. Most of the images were just over 4 feet off the ground. The colours that were painted were either black or white. The images have no specific layout and are randomly placed across different walls at the back of the school.
Huntsville Ontario Provincial Police attended the school and with the help of the Scenes of Crimes Officer (SOCO) photos were taken of the images, prior to them being removed.
The school has recently added a new section to the school that houses the kindergartens. These images are what they see when they go out to play in their yard.

(FORT FRANCES, ON) On Sunday May 4, 2014 officers of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) North West Region will collaborate their efforts in support of OPP Cruising for a Cure – Winnipeg Police Service Half Marathon & Relay. Officers have been training hard and will lace up to run a half marathon (21 kilometers) or relay to help raise awareness and funds in support of the Canadian Cancer Society.
Every year, the OPP Cruising for a Cure Team grows larger in support of this worthwhile cause. (MUNSEE-DELAWARE NATION)- On April 4, 2014 members of the Munsee-Delaware First Nation Police Service and Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a break and enter complaint at the Paradise Bingo Hall located on Jubilee Road. At the time police learned that a suspect forced open a door to the commercial building and removed a quaintly of cigarettes.
As a result of an on-going investigation police have arrested and charged a 17 year old male from Munsee-Delaware Nation with two counts of break and enter as per Section 348(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada. The accused was later released from police custody by way of an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in a London court room at a later date to speak to the charges.
Public Safety and Crime Prevention are top priorities for the Middlesex County OPP. Our officers continue to work with all community stake holders to insure we do our part to combat crime. (CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) -On April 29, 2014 at approximately 12:01 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were patrolling Highway 6, near Wellington Road 51, Guelph-Eramosa Township. A 2008 Ford was observed traveling at a high rate of speed and the officer obtained a speed of 136 km/h in an 80 km/h zone on radar. During the investigation, the male driver displayed signs of alcohol consumption. Testing was done at the scene with a screening device which resulted in a fail. He was brought to the South Wellington Operations Centre in Rockwood for further testing.
Steven BRYDGES age 51 of Fergus is charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and Over 80 contrary to the Criminal Code. He is to appear in Guelph Court on May 13, 2014 to answer to the charges.
DAMAGE AT MURPHY PARK
(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) On April 25, 2014, Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were called to Murphy Park on Cork Street in Mount Forest. Unknown suspect(s) damage the railing to the observation deck by knocking out the spindles along with writing graffiti on the handrail in green marker. It is unknown when this occurred.

Ruth SPITZER – Drunk Driving
(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) -On April 29, 2014 at approximately 11:02 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were conducting a R.I.D.E. Program on Tower Street South, Centre Wellington Township. A female driver of a 2000 Buick entered the check point and showed signs of alcohol consumption. A roadside screening device test was administered which resulted in a fail. She was brought to the South Wellington Operations Centre in Rockwood for further testing.
The Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and his motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.
Ruth SPITZER age 50 of Fergus has been charged with Over 80 mgs contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. She is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on May 16, 2014 to answer to the charge.
