Harry TCHINDA II MBETE – Sexual Assault

(ROCKLAND, ON) – The Russell County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person with sexual assault.

The incident happened on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at a park in Rockland. The victim was not injured and did not know the other individual.

Members of the Russell County OPP launched an immediate investigation resulting an in arrest.  

Harry TCHINDA II MBETE, age 22, from Rockland, has been charged under the Criminal Code with sexual assault. 

The accused was held for a bail hearing.

Repeat Offender Michael WOLOSCHUK Arrested Again – Sexual Assault, Luring Children

(ROCKLAND, ON)  The Russell County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid additional sex-related charged against a Rockland resident.

On March 5, 2024, members of the Russell County OPP Crime Unit, assisted by OPP Digital Forensics and Forensic Identification Services, executed a warrant in Ottawa and arrested an individual in relation to a historical sexual assault / child luring investigation.

Michael WOLOSCHUK, age 44 from Rockland, was charged with:

  • Sexual Assault on a person under 16 years of age – three counts
  • Sexual Interference – three counts
  • Luring a person under 16 years of age by means of telecommunication – two counts
  • Fail to Comply with a Release Order – one count

The accused was remanded in custody and scheduled for a bail hearing on March 12, 2024, by video from the Ottawa-Carlton Detention Centre.

This accused was previously charged with similar offences in August 2023. Those charges remain before the courts.
