Jonah MURRANT – Drunk Driving

(PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY, ON) – An early morning RIDE program by members of the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) resulted in one driver being arrested.

Officers were conducting a RIDE program on Highway 62 at approximately 2:00a.m. on April 27, 2025. During the RIDE, an Approved Screening Device was used, which resulted in a driver being arrested and transported to the detachment for further testing.

Jonah MURRANT, age 28 of Belleville has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton on May 14, 2025. Their driver’s licence was also suspended for a period of 90 days and their vehicle impounded for 7 days.

Earl COLLINS – Drunk Driving

(PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY, ON) – A traffic stop has resulted in a driver being charged with impaired operation.

On Friday, April 25, 2025, at approximately 9:00 p.m., members of the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Highway 33. The investigation resulted in the driver being arrested and transported to the detachment for further testing.

As a result, Earl COLLINS, age 52 from Prince Edward County, was arrested and charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on May 14, 2025. They also had their driver’s licence suspended for a period of 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days.

Mitchell HARRISON Was Arrested Again

(Prince Edward County, ON) – – Members of the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual following a traffic stop.

On April 10, 2025, at approximately 6:00 p.m., officers initiated a traffic stop after an off-duty officer observed a driver who was known to be on conditions not to occupy the driver’s seat of a motor vehicle.

As a result of the investigation, Mitchell HARRISON, age 41 from Prince Edward County, was arrested and charged with:

  • Failure to comply with a release order
  • Drive while under suspension – two counts

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on April 30, 2025. The vehicle was impounded for seven days.

19 Year Old Drunk Driver Arrested – Name Released

(PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY, ON) – An early morning RIDE program by members of the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) resulted in one driver being arrested.

Paul MARCONI – Theft & Fraud

(Prince Edward County, ON) – Members of the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid additional charges in connection with an ongoing fraud investigation. An additional victim has come forward.

Officers laid charges in July of last year in connection with a lengthy fraud investigation looking into offences dating back several years, with numerous victims. The losses are estimated to be over approximately $500,000.

As a result of the ongoing investigation, Paul MARCONI, a 65-year-old of Prince Edward County, has now been charged with additional offences:

  • Fraud over $5000
  • Theft over $5000

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton on April 9, 2025.

Patrick MACDONALD – Meth

(Prince Edward County, ON) – – Members of the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged an individual as a result of a traffic stop.

On April 1, 2025, at approximately 10:30 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on County Road 10. As a result of the investigation, Patrick MACDONALD, age 44 from Kingston, was arrested and charged with possession of a schedule one substance – methamphetamine.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on April 23, 2025.

Zachary VERONEZ – Drunk Driving

(PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY, ON) – A traffic stop has resulted in a driver being charged with impaired operation.

On Saturday, March 29, 2025, at approximately 2:15 a.m., members of the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Highway 62. The investigation resulted in the driver being arrested and transported to the detachment for further testing.

As a result, Zachary VERONEZ, age 20 from Belleville, was arrested and charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Mischief

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on April 16, 2025. They also had their driver’s licence suspended for a period of 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days.

Sharon WICKETT Was Arrested

(PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY, ON) – A Monday night RIDE program by members of the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) resulted in one driver being arrested.

Officers were conducting a RIDE program on Highway 62 at County Road 3 at 10:30 p.m. on March 17, 2025. During the RIDE, officers conducted a test on one driver with the Approved Screening Device. As a result, the driver was arrested and transported to the detachment for further testing.

Sharon WICKETT, age 72 of Prince Edward County has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton on April 2, 2025. They also had their driver’s licence suspended for a period of 90 days and vehicle impounded for 7 days.

Drug Bust at RIDE – Names Released

(PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY, ON) – An early morning RIDE program by members of the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) resulted in two individuals being arrested and charged.

Officers were conducting a RIDE program on Highway 62 at County Road 3 at 1:00 a.m. on March 13, 2025. During the RIDE, officers observed a vehicle attempt to avoid the RIDE program. As a result, two individuals were arrested, and officers seized a quantity of suspected cocaine, other items typically associated with drug use and trafficking, and approximately $1600 in cash.

Anthony MARINI, age 20 from Trenton was charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule one substance
  • Possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • Drive vehicle with cannabis readily available

Niah BABCOCK, age 23 from Quinte West was charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule one substance
  • Possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking

Both accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on April 2, 2025.

Melanie BURLEY – Drunk Driving

(PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY, ON) – A vehicle discovered in ditch has resulted in a driver being charged with impaired operation.

On March 9, 2025, at approximately 12:00 a.m., members of the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a single vehicle collision on Taft Road. Further investigation led to an Approved Screening Device being utilized, and the driver was arrested and transported to the detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Melanie BURLEY, age 44 from Caledon, was arrested and charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on March 26th, 2025. They also had their driver’s license suspended for a period of 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days.

Jordan LEWIS – Drunk Driving

(PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY, ON) – A traffic stop has resulted in a driver being charged with impaired operation.

As a result of the investigation, Jordan LEWIS, age 29 from Prince Edward County, was arrested and charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Driving while under suspension – three counts
  • Driving with improper headlights

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on April 2, 2025. They also had their driver’s license suspended for a period of 90 days and vehicle impounded for 7 days.

COATES – Drunk Driving

(Prince Edward County, ON) – A single vehicle collision has resulted in a driver being charged with impaired operation.

On February 28, 2025, at approximately 11:55 p.m., members of the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a single vehicle collision on County Road 4 in Prince Edward County.

As a result of the investigation, Kyle COATES, age 37, from Prince Edward County, was arrested and charged with:

· Operation while impaired – alcohol

· Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on March 19, 2025. They also had their driver’s licence suspended for a period of 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days.

Drug Bust – KUBASSEK & TIFFIN

(Prince Edward County, ON) – The East Region Community Street Crime Unit has arrested and charged two individuals with drug trafficking.

On Thursday January 30, 2025, at approximately 1:00 a.m., with the assistance of the East Region Tactics and Rescue Unit and Canine Unit, a search warrant was executed on Reichswald Court in Picton. As a result, two individuals were arrested, and officers seized suspected cocaine, suspected fentanyl and items typically associated with drug trafficking.

Riley KUBASSEK, age 27 and Danielle TIFFIN, age 26 both from Prince Edward County were each charged with two counts of possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Both accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on March 19, 2025.

Melissa WHITE Was Arrested

(Prince Edward County, ON) – The East Region Community Street Crime Unit has arrested and charged an individual after a search warrant was executed.

On Friday January 31, 2025, at approximately 12:30 p.m., with the assistance of the East Region Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit, a search warrant was executed on Disraeli Street in Picton. As a result, one individual was arrested, and officers seized a quantity of Canadian currency and two cellphones.

Melissa WHITE, age 36 from Toronto was charged with possession of property obtained by crime – under $5000.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton on February 26, 2025.

Anik KARMIJEE – Drunk Driving

(PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY, ON) – A vehicle discovered in ditch has resulted in a driver being charged with impaired operation.

On February 3, 2025, at approximately 7:00 p.m., members of the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were proactively patrolling County Road 22 when they discovered a vehicle several meters off the shoulder of the roadway. Further investigation led to an Approved Screening Device being utilized, and the driver was arrested and transported to the detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Anik KARMIJEE, age 55 from Prince Edward County, was arrested and charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on February 19, 2025. They also had their driver’s license suspended for a period of 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days.
