$1.8 Million Cocaine Bust

(Municipality of Shuniah, ON) – Two individuals are facing drug trafficking charges following a traffic stop in the Municipality of Shuniah.

On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, shortly before 11:30 a.m., members of the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop for a violation under the Highway Traffic Act. During the investigation, officers located 18 kilograms of suspected cocaine inside the vehicle. The estimated street value of the seized drugs is approximately $1,800,000. Following further investigation, the following charges were laid:

Kaiona HAZEL, age 26 of Oshawa was charged with

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Traffick in Schedule I Substance – cocaine

Ashley NEWELL, age 29 of Ajax was charged with

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Traffick in Schedule I substance – cocaine

Both accused were held for bail and will be appearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay at a later date.

Robert BENOIT – Drunk Driving

(ESSEX COUNTY, ON)- On November 17, 2025, at 8:30 p.m., a member of the Lakeshore Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment was on patrol and observed a vehicle driving erratically on County Road 22 at Wallace Line Road in the Municipality of Lakeshore.

The officer conducted a traffic stop and upon speaking to the driver, determined that they had previously consumed alcohol. The driver was placed under arrest and transported to a local detachment for further testing.

As a result, Robert BENOIT, a 52-year-old of Lakeshore, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

·        Operation while Impaired – Alcohol

·        Operation while Impaired – Blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·        Dangerous Operation

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor to speak to the charges on December 2, 2025.

Essex County OPP wants to remind the public that if you see anything suspicious or suspect an impaired driver you should contact the Ontario Provincial Police or your nearest police authority immediately.

Marc Aaron DAWLEY-COLE – Drunk Driving

(ELLIOT LAKE, ON) – On November 15, 2025, an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) operator was charged after a lengthily crash investigation.

On August 6, 2025, at approximately 6:15 p.m. the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to a single vehicle collision involving an ATV on Mississauga Avenue. The ATV hit a hydro pole, tangled in lines, and flipped onto a residential front yard fence. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) transported the lone operator to hospital for further assessment. After an in-depth investigation, the operator was arrested and charged.   

Marc Aaron DAWLEY-COLE, 23-years-old, from Elliot Lake was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired by alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Dangerous operation
  • Fail to have insurance card

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on January 25, 2026.

David POWER – Drunk Driving

(DUFFERIN COUNTY) – The Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Hamilton resident with impaired driving-related offences following a traffic stop.

On November 13, 2025, shortly before 11:00 p.m., officers on general patrol in the area of Fifth Avenue in the Town of Orangeville observed a vehicle strike a curb while attempting to enter a parking lot. Officers then initiated a traffic stop.

During the interaction, officers observed signs of impairment, and an impaired driving investigation was initiated.

David POWER, a 44-year-old male from Orangeville, has been charged with the following offence:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available

·      Careless driving

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville. Their driver’s licence has been suspended, and the vehicle has been impounded.

5 More Impaired Drivers – MCINTOSH, CAMIRAND, COFFEY, RIDDELL & KACHUROWSKI

(WELLINGTON COUNTY, ON) – Five impaired drivers have been taken off Wellington County roadways since November 13, 2025.

Over the weekend, officers from the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) carried out proactive traffic enforcement, attended several collisions and responded to a traffic complaint. These efforts led to five drivers being charged with impaired driving.

With the holiday season quickly approaching, the Wellington County OPP is reminding drivers of the importance of finding a safe and sober ride home.

On November 13, 2025, at approximately 9:15 p.m., thanks to a call from a concerned member of the public, members of the Wellington OPP responded to the report of a suspected impaired driver. The driver was found travelling at a high rate of speed on Wellington Road 109 in Arthur.

Tyler MCINTOSH, a 33-year-old of Dundalk, is charged under the Criminal Code and the Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Drive motor vehicle – perform stunt – excessive speed
  • Speeding 50+ km/h over posted limit

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on November 28, 2025. 

On November 15, 2025, at approximately 3:45 p.m., a member of the Wellington County OPP Traffic Management Unit was performing a proactive traffic enforcement initiative and conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle showing signs of impairment on St. David Street North in Fergus.

Damien CAMIRAND, a 43-year-old from Fergus, is charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Operation while Impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on November 25, 2025.

On November 15, 2025, at approximately 11:30 p.m., members of the Wellington County OPP responded to the report of a single-vehicle collision with a hydro pole on Victoria Road South in Puslinch Township.

Neil COFFEY, a 39-year-old from Rockwood, is charged under the Criminal Code and the Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Operation while impaired – drugs and alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Careless Driving

The driver sustained minor injuries.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on November 25, 2025.

On November 16, 2025, at approximately 1:00 a.m., members of the Wellington OPP responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision into a house on William Street in Clifford.

Ian RIDDELL, a 21-year-old from Clifford, is charged under the Criminal Code and the Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Dangerous operation
  • Fail to report accident
  • Fail to remain

There were no reported injuries.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on November 28, 2025.

Lastly, on November 16, 2025, at approximately 4:15 a.m., the Wellington OPP responded to the report of a single-vehicle collision into a ditch on Highway 7 in the Guelph-Eramosa Township.

Nathan KACHUROWSKI, a 29-year-old from Guelph, is charged under the Criminal Code, with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

A passenger sustained minor injuries and was transported to s local hospital.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on November 25, 2025.

Any driver charged with impaired driving receives a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a 45-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

Andrew CLARKE – Drunk Driving

(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) entered into an impaired driving investigation on November 16, 2025, following a single motor vehicle collision.

On November 16, 2025, at approximately 1:58 p.m., officers were alerted to a single vehicle collision on Woodville Road in Eldon Township. Upon arrival, police learned the driver had initially failed to remain at the scene but later returned. Through investigation, the driver was arrested and charged with impaired driving offences.

Andrew CLARKE, 48 years old, of Woodville, has been charged with:

·        Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

CLARKE is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date.

As a result of the charge, CLARKE received a 90-day driver’s licence suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

If you plan on drinking or consuming drugs, plan to not drive. Arrange for a designated driver, take a taxi or public transit, or make another safe plan that keeps impaired driving out of the picture.

AI Used To Track Down & Arrest Shayne GRAHAM

(HALDIMAND COUNTY) – A driver is facing charges after an Automated Licence Plate Reader (ALPR) notification alerted police in Haldimand County.

On November 16, 2025, at approximately 9:35 p.m., a member of the Haldimand detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was on general patrol and was alerted by the ALPR of a traffic infraction on Indiana Road.

A traffic stop was initiated; however, the driver fled the scene. Police later located the individual, and they were subsequently taken into custody.

Shayne GRAHAM, 53-years-old of York has been charged with the following offences:

  • Dangerous Operation
  • Flight From Peace Officer
  • Operation While Prohibited Under the Criminal Code (three counts)
  • Failure to Comply with Release Order (two counts)
  • Drive While Child Passenger Not Properly Secured
  • Driving While Under Suspension (five counts)
  • Use Plate Not Authorized for Vehicle

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on November 20, 2025.

Stolen Vehicle Recovered – Ryan MACDONALD & Laura PEARL Arrested

(LAURENTIAN VALLEY TWP, ON) – Members of the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged two individuals after a stolen vehicle was recovered in the Township of Laurentian Valley (TLV).

On November 15, 2025, at approximately 10:20 a.m., police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle at an abandoned hunt camp in TLV. Police recovered a stolen pickup truck from Trois Rivieres, Quebec, at the scene and two individuals were taken into custody. Stolen credit and debit cards were also recovered by police.       

As a result of this investigation 30-year-old Ryan MACDONALD and 29-year-old Laura PEARL, both of Nova Scotia, are each charged under the Criminal Code (CC) with:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000

MACDONALD is facing the additional CC charges:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 – two counts
  • Failure to comply with release order – four counts

Both accused individuals were held for a bail hearing and remain in custody until their next appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on November 17, 2025.

Christopher LAFRANCE – Drunk Driving

(TOWNSHIP OF HILTON, ON) – The East Algoma Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducts a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) check that results in impaired charges.

On Friday November 14, 2025, at approximately 6:00 p.m., the East Algoma OPP were conducting a R.I.D.E check when a silver pickup truck approached officers on Base Line Road in the Township of Hilton.

A roadside breath test was completed using an Approved Screening Device (ASD), resulting in a FAIL. The driver was arrested and transported to Sault Ste Marie OPP detachment for further testing.

Christopher LAFRANCE, 45 years-old from Cobourg was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario of Court Justice in Elliot Lake on December 4, 2025. The vehicle was impounded for seven days

Desan GRANT-MARTIN Arrested With Child Drug Traffickers – Details Released #3Strikes

(DRYDEN, ON) –  Three individuals are facing drug trafficking related charges following a traffic stop in Dryden.

On Tuesday, November 11, 2025, shortly after 3:00 p.m. CST, officers with the Dryden Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Albert Street.

Through an investigation with the support of the Dryden OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) and their ongoing investigation into the trafficking of illicit drugs in the City of Dryden, officers seized suspected cocaine, fentanyl, crack cocaine, oxycodone pills, Canadian currency, and various drug-related paraphernalia.

As a result, Desan GRANT-MARTIN, 20 years old from Orangeville, was charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – other drugs
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime – over $5000
  • Failure to comply with release order

The accused is held in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Dryden on November 19, 2025.

A 16-year-old from Toronto, was charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – other drugs
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime – over $5000
  • Failure to comply with release order

The accused is held in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Dryden on November 17, 2025.

A 13-year-old from Toronto, was charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – other drugs
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime – over $5000
  • Failure to comply with release order

The accused is held in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Dryden on November 28, 2025.

On Friday, November 7, 2025, at approximately 12:20 a.m., Renfrew OPP officers responded to a single motor vehicle collision in the Town of Renfrew. 

As a result of the investigation, Donald NELSON age 58 of Quebec was charged with:

–      Dangerous operation

–      Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000

The accused was held for a bail hearing.

Tanya Wilson – Drunk Driving

(TEMISKAMING SHORES, ON)- The Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one individual with impaired driving following a traffic complaint in the City of Temiskaming Shores.

On November 6, 2025, at approximately 1:30 p.m., officers with the Temiskaming OPP responded to a report of a vehicle being driven erratically on Whitewood Avenue in Temiskaming Shores.

Officers attended the area and located the vehicle parked at a local business. Upon speaking with the driver, officers detected an odour of an alcoholic beverage. As a result of the investigation, the driver was arrested for impaired and transported to the Temiskaming OPP Detachment for further testing.

Tanya Wilson, 46 years old, of Temiskaming Shores, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury on December 9, 2025.

The vehicle was impounded for seven days, and the driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days under the Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) program.

Shot Fired During Home Invasion – Details Released #StandYourGround

(PUSLINCH TWP, ON) – An early morning home invasion in Puslinch Township has sent one person to hospital with a gunshot wound. 

Just after 4:40 a.m. on Sunday, November 16, 2025, members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Guelph-Wellington Paramedic Services responded to a report of a home invasion in Morriston, Puslinch Twp.

Upon arrival, emergency services located one individual who had sustained injuries from a firearm. The victim was transported to a local hospital.

Police believe the suspects fled in a nearby vehicle.

The details surrounding the incident are being investigated, and more information will be provided as the investigation progresses. This incident is believed to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to public safety.

Stolen Vehicle Recovered – Christopher PAQUETTE Arrested

(KENORA, ON) – Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested one individual after a stolen vehicle was located.

On Friday, November 7th, 2025, at approximately 3:00 a.m., an officer on general patrol observed a vehicle reported as stolen in the area of Sunnyside Road, Kenora. During the investigation, an individual was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle.

As a result of the investigation, Christopher PAQUETTE, 40 years old, from Pellatt Township, Kenora, has been charged with:

 • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kenora on a future date.

Herbert PELEIKIS Arrested For Drunk Driving Following Hit & Run

(GRAVENHURST, ON) – The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a driver with impaired operation after a collision was reported.

On November 13, 2025, at 6:50 p.m. Bracebridge OPP officers responded to a report from a member of the public that a vehicle had collided with construction equipment on Evans Avenue E in Gravenhurst and left the scene. Officers located the vehicle nearby and subsequently arrested and charged 69-year-old Herbert PELEIKIS of Gravenhurst, ON with Impaired Operation, Impaired-Over 80, Operation while Prohibited and Failure to stop after accident. He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on December 2, 2025 to answer to his charges.
