Jacob HALL – Drunk Driving

(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – Driver charged with impaired as a result of OPP RIDE Program.

On January 1, 2026, at 1:41 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were engaged in a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) program on Thorndale Road in the Municipality of Thames Centre.

A vehicle approached the RIDE program at which time the driver appeared to evade the officers.

The vehicle was stopped a short distance away at which time the driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex County OPP Detachment.

As a result, Jacob HALL, a 21-year-old of Embro, has been charged under the Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act with:

·      Operation while impaired – Alcohol

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Young driver – B.A.C. above zero

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in London on January 29, 2026, to speak to the charges.

The Middlesex OPP wants to remind the public that if you see anything suspicious or suspect an impaired driver you should contact the Ontario Provincial Police or your nearest police authority immediately.

Morton SMITH – Impaired Driving

(BRACEBRIDGE, ON) – The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged another driver with impaired driving at a RIDE program.

On December 31, 2025, at 1:20 p.m. OPP officers with the Traffic Investigation Management Team (T.I.M.E.) were conducting a RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) program on South Kahshe Lake Road in Gravenhurst. Officers soon entered into an impaired driving investigation and subsequently arrested and charged 49-year-old Morton SMITH of Severn Bridge, ON with Impaired Operation – Drug, driving while under suspension and driving a vehicle with cannabis readily available. He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on January 20, 2026 to answer to his charges.

If you suspect someone is driving a vehicle of any kind while impaired, please call 9-1-1. Police will make every effort to locate the involved vehicle and conduct an investigation, many times, these investigations result in charges and removing impaired drivers from Muskoka roads.

Break & Enter – Axel DODDS

(ELLIOT LAKE, ON) – The East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested a person in relation to a business break & enter. 

On December 24, 2025, at approximately 9:00 a.m. police were called to a retail business store on Highway 108 in Elliot Lake. An employee reported that someone had broken into the store sometime overnight and stolen multiple items. A short time later, another business reported a person trespassing who was attempting to enter their building. Police conducted a traffic stop and spoke to a female passenger matching the description from security camera footage who provided a fake name and age to police. She was later arrested and charged.    

Axel DODDS, 18-years-old from Elliot Lake was charged with:

• Break, enter a place with intent to commit indictable offence

• Theft under $5000

• Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000

• Obstruct peace officer

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on March 12, 2026.

$4,000,000 Cocaine Bust

(PLYMPTON-WYOMING, ON) – A London resident is facing drug charges following a coordinated joint investigation that has resulted in a multimillion-dollar drug seizure in Lambton County.

On December 23, 2025, just before 1:30 p.m., an Ontario Ministry of Transportation commercial motor vehicle inspection prompted members of the Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the Lambton County Community Street Crime Unit and the Border Enforcement Security Task Force, to attend the MTO scales located off Highway 402 in the Township of Plympton-Wyoming.

Police seized approximately 137 kg of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of $4,110,000, a quantity of Canadian and U.S. currency and other offence-related items.

Harmeet DHAMOON, 43-years-old of London, is charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with the following offences:

·       Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

·       Import Schedule I Substance – Cocaine

The accused has been remanded into custody pending a bail hearing.

Christopher SHEPHERD – Drunk Driving

(POINT EDWARD, ON) – On December 29, 2025, at approximately 8:20 p.m., members of the Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were requested to attend Bluewater Bridge, Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), regarding a possible impaired driver. 

As a result of the investigation, Christopher SHEPHERD, a 36-year-old of Sarnia, has been arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offence:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia on January 22, 2026.

Gordon FLETCHER Aggravated Assault

(NORTHUMBERLAND, ON) – The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has arrested an individual wanted in connection with a serious assault.

On December 28, 2025, police received a report of an assault that occurred on December 21 at a residence on Maple Avenue in the Municipality of Trent Hills. The victim later attended hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

An investigation began where an individual was identified and sought in connection with the incident.

On December 30, 2025, shortly before 7:00 p.m., officers conducting a Festive Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) checkpoint on County Road 8 in Trent Hills stopped a vehicle. The accused was a passenger in the vehicle and was taken into custody with assistance from the Peterborough/Northumberland Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU).

Gordon FLETCHER (32) of no fixed abode, has been charged with:

–      Aggravated assault

–      Breach of recognizance

The individual was held for bail to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg.

Matthew Sibenik – Drunk Driving

(EAST-ZORRA TAVISTOCK, ON) – An individual from Toronto is facing charges after a single vehicle collision on Township Road 8.

On December 29, 2025, at approximately 8:00 p.m., members of the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment were dispatched to a report of a single vehicle collision that had occurred on Township Road 8, near Oxford Road 29 in the Township of East-Zorra Tavistock. It was reported that a vehicle had left the roadway and entered the ditch.

Officers attended and spoke with the lone occupant of the vehicle. There were no injuries reported because of the collision.

Steven Kamps Was Arrested

(NORWICH TOWNSHIP, ON) – An individual from Woodstock is facing charges after a single vehicle collision on Highway 59.

On December 29, 2025, at approximately 7:00 p.m., members of the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment were dispatched to a report of a single vehicle collision that had occurred on Highway 59, near Old Stage Road in Norwich Township. It was reported that a vehicle had left the roadway and entered the ditch.

Steven Kamps, 63-years-old, of Woodstock, has been charged with:

Pervert Alert – Bradley KOOPMAN Arrested

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – An individual has been charged following police receiving a report of indecent exposure. 

On December 27, 2025, members of the Norfolk detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) launched an investigation relating to an indecent exposure complaint at a business in Simcoe, Norfolk County.

Bradley KOOPMAN, 24-years-old of Port Dover has been charged with the following offence:

  • Indecent Act in a Public Place

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on February 10, 2026.

Terry SIMPSON Was Arrested

 (HUNTSVILLE, ON) – Officers of the Huntsville Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P.) are always looking for criminal driving behaviour. 

On Monday, December 30, 2025 at 3:52 p.m., Huntsville OPP officers received a call from a concerned motorist reporting a possible impaired driver stopped on the side of the Highway 11 at Stephenson Rd 8 and agreed to wait until police arrived.

Huntsville O.P.P. officers located the vehicle and determined the driver to be impaired.

As a result of the investigation, Terry SIMPSON, 39 years old of Toronto Ontario, has been charged with:

·      Operation while impaired – Alcohol / Drugs

·      Operation while impaired – Blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released and is to appear in February 2026 before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge.

The accused was also issued a 90 Administrative Driver’s License Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for 7days.

Martin FUNNELL Was Arrested

(NORTH BAY, ON) – The North Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a driver with impaired driving after a traffic stop.

On Monday, December 29, 2025, at approximately 1:00 p.m., officers observed a parked vehicle in a commercial lot off Highway 11 near McKeown Avenue in North Bay. The vehicle was idling, and the driver appeared to be smoking cannabis. Upon speaking with the driver, officers confirmed cannabis consumption. The individual was arrested and transported to the North Bay OPP detachment for further testing.

During a subsequent search of the vehicle, officers located and seized unsealed cannabis and unmarked cigarettes.

As a result of the investigation, Martin FUNNELL, 41 years of age, of North Bay, has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – drugs

·        Operation while impaired – blood drug concertation

·        Drive a vehicle with cannabis readily available

·        Possess unmarked cigarettes

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on February 3, 2026, in North Bay. Additionally, they received a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

John MCDONALD Was Arrested Again #3Strikes

(CARLETON PLACE, ON) – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has arrested an individual following two robberies in Carleton Place.

Officers with the Lanark County OPP were called to a business on Franktown Road just before 3:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2025. A man entered the business, threatened the employee and fled with cigarettes. With the assistance of the OPP Canine Unit and Emergency Response Team members, the accused was located and arrested. Officers also seized a quantity of suspected cocaine.

The investigation found the accused was also the subject of an arrest warrant for a similar offence that occurred on Christmas Day in Carleton Place.

John MCDONALD, 38-years-old from Carleton Place, is charged with:

·        Armed robbery – two counts

·        Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

·        Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking

·        Fail to comply with release order – two counts

·        Fail to comply with probation order

The accused was remanded in custody following a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.

2 Sent To Hospital – Gagandeep Singh CHAUHAN Arrested

(CALEDON, ON) – The Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges criminal charges following a collision in Caledon.

On December 21, 2025, at approximately 3:48 a.m. Caledon OPP officers responded to a two vehicle collision on Charleston Side Road near Shaws Creek Road, in Caledon. 

A driver of one of the involved vehicles was arrested at the scene for impaired operation of a motor vehicle.

Occupants of the other involved vehicle sustained serious injuries in the collision.

Gagandeep Singh CHAUHAN, 31 years old from Caledon has been charged with:

·        Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle Causing Bodily Harm x 2

·        Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Blood Alcohol Concentration Over 80mgs

He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville in January 2026.

The accused was also issued a 90 Administrative Driver’s License Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for 7 days

(GRAND BEND, ON) – An individual has been charged with impaired driving following a traffic stop in Grand Bend.

On December 29, 2025, shortly after 2:30 a.m., while conducting general patrol, a member of the Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Lake Road in Grand Bend.

As a result of the investigation, Stanley JOSE, 36-year-old of Ilderton, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Sarnia on February 10, 2026.

Erin LANGRIDGE – Drunk Driving

(BROCKTON, ON) – On December 30, 2025, at approximately 5:19 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a traffic complaint for a vehicle in the area of Bruce Road 19 and Bruce Road 4, Municipality of Brockton.

The complainant had spoken with another motorist and believed that they may be impaired. Officers patrolled the area and located the vehicle. The investigating officer spoke with the driver and detected signs of impairment. The driver was taken into custody and transported for further testing.

Erin LANGRIDGE, 60-years-old, of Guelph, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – B.A.C. 80+, CC 320.14(1)(b)

The accused is set to appear at the Walkerton Ontario Court of Justice on January 14, 2026, to answer to the charge.
