21 Year Old From ACW Arrested

(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH TWP, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh Township resident with several criminal offences following a collision on January 05, 2026, on Blyth Road in ACW Twp. 

Just after 6:00 a.m. on Monday, January 05, 2026, Huron County OPP officers responded to reports of a two-vehicle collision on Blyth Road in ACW Twp. Officers spoke to the involved drivers and one driver was subsequently arrested for impaired operation.

The accused provided breath samples before a qualified Intoxilyzer Breath Technician at the Huron County OPP detachment in Clinton. Breath samples provided to police resulted in readings over the legal limit. Additionally, a quantity of suspected cocaine was located on the accused upon their arrest.

Xander FIDOM, 21 years-of-age from ACW Twp has been charged with:

–      Operation while Impaired – Over 80,

–      Dangerous Operation,

–      Possession of Cocaine.

The vehicle involved was towed and impounded for seven days, and the accused’ driver’s license was suspended for a period of 90 days.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on February 23, 2026.

(MEAFORD, ON) A Meaford resident is facing multiple charges after fleeing from a traffic stop that occurred on January 10, 2026 in the Municipality of Meaford.

On Saturday, January 10, 2026, at approximately 4:08 p.m., Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a black Ford pickup truck travelling on Grey Road 12 in the Municipality of Meaford without a front licence plate displayed.

An officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop after noting additional concerns regarding the vehicle. When emergency lights were activated, the vehicle accelerated away at a high rate of speed. Due to public safety considerations, the officer did not pursue.

At approximately 4:33 p.m., officers attended the registered owner’s residence and located the same vehicle parked beside a shed. An individual was observed near the vehicle and was arrested.

Richard BLACHA, 38-years-old, from Meaford, has been charged with the following criminal code and highway traffic act offences:

  • Drive Motor Vehicle – Fail to Display Two Plates (Highway Traffic Act)
  • Drive Motor Vehicle – No Currently Validated Permit (Highway Traffic Act)
  • Flight from Peace Officer (Criminal Code)
  • Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand (Criminal Code)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on January 29, 2026.

Pedestrain Struck By Tractor Trailer

(SOUTH GLENGARRY, ON)- Members of the Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a collision involving a tractor trailer and a pedestrian.

On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, shortly before 10:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a pedestrian being struck by a tractor trailer in a business parking lot on Boundary Road, South Glengarry Township.

The 33-year-old male was transported to hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening. The investigation is ongoing.

18 Year Old Drunk Driver Arrested

(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one people after officers responded to a motor vehicle collision.

On Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at approximately 3:00 a.m., Renfrew OPP officers responded to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 60 in Admaston/Bromley Township.  

As a result of the investigation, Thomas LOGAN age 18 of Pikwakanagan was charged with:

–      Operation while impaired- alcohol  

–      Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released and scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on February 11, 2026.

Steven NAREZNY Was Arrested

(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person after responding to a neighbor dispute.

On Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at approximately 11:00 a.m., Renfrew OPP responded to a neighbor dispute call for service in the Town of Renfrew. 

As a result of the investigation, Steven NAREZNY, age 64 of Renfrew was charged with, mischief- destroys or damages property  

The accused was released and scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on February 4, 2026.

Gary FOUGERE – Theft

(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person after responding to a shoplifting call in the Town of Renfrew.

On Monday, January 5, 2026, at approximately 1:30 p.m., Renfrew OPP responded to a shoplifting call for service in the Town of Renfrew.

As a result of the investigation, Gary FOUGERE age 60 of Renfrew was charged with, Theft under $5000- Shoplifting.

The accused was released and scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on February 4, 2026.

Andrea MURRAY – Drunk Driving

(NEW TECUMSETH, ON) – Members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one individual with impaired operation following emergency services locating an individual asleep behind the wheel.

On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, shortly after 5:00 p.m., officers from the Nottawasaga OPP responded to a call from emergency services reporting that a suspected impaired driver had been found asleep in the driver’s seat of a vehicle parked in a local parking lot. The driver was woken up, conscious and breathing.

As a result of the investigation, officers arrested the driver for impaired operation. 

The driver, Andrea MURRAY, a 44-year-old, of New Tecumseth, has been charged with:

• Operation while impaired – blood drug concentration (80 plus)

• Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

The accused party was released on a Form 10 Undertaking and is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford to answer to the charges.

Pervert Alert: Chris BRONSON – Sexual Assault, Etc. Police Fear More Victims

(ORILLIA, ON) – The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Major Crime Unit has charged one individual in relation to a sexual assault investigation.

On Wednesday, January 7, 2026, police began an investigation into a report of a sexual assault that occurred in the City of Orillia.

As a result of this investigation, Chris BRONSON, 43-years-old, employed by the Orillia Youth Centre for the last 15 years, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Make Sexually Explicit Material Available to a Person Under 18 yrs of age
  • Sexual Exploitation
  • Sexual Assault
  • Luring a Person under 18 years of age by means of Telecommunication

The accused has been arrested and subsequently held for bail.

 Investigators believe there may be additional victims and are committed to ensuring all individuals affected receive the support and justice they deserve. At the time of the incident, the accused and the victims were members of the same residential community in Orillia. (CLEARVIEW, ON)- The Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a theft from a local honey stand and is asking for the public’s assistance to identify the suspect.

On Saturday, December 27, 2026, shortly after 8:00 p.m., Huronia West OPP officers responded to reports of a theft of cash from a self‑serve honey stand on North Nottawasaga Concession 6 in Clearview Township.

The police are seeking public assistance to identify the suspect involved in this incident and have attached surveillance photos of the individual to this media release.

(HALDIMAND COUNTY) – An individual was arrested on the weekend following police receiving a traffic complaint.

On January 11, 2026, at approximately 8:15 p.m., members of the Haldimand detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint of a possible impaired driver on Argyle Street, Caledonia.

The vehicle was located, and the driver was taken into custody.

Ajay DHARMANA, 31-years-old of Caledonia has been charged with the following offences:

  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)
  • Novice Driver – BAC Above Zero

Stolen Vehicle Recovered – Matthew CARPENTER

(DRUMMOND-NORTH ELMSLEY TOWNSHIP, ON) – A speeding car has led to numerous charges for a driver and the recovery of a stolen vehicle.

On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, shortly after 8:30 a.m., a member of the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting traffic enforcement on Highway 7, between Perth and Innisville, when a vehicle was detected travelling at more than 110 kilometres per hour in an 80 zone.

The officer stopped the vehicle and determined that it had been reported stolen in Ottawa in late December. It was also found that the driver was under a licence suspension, and the individual did not have insurance.

Matthew CARPENTER, age 36 of Arnprior, has been charged with:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime
  • Driving while under suspension
  • Driving a vehicle with no licence
  • Failing to have insurance
  • Speeding
  • Breach of recognizance

The accused was held for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth, to be held Tuesday, January 13, 2026.

PALMER Arrested – Drunk Driving

(ORILLIA, ON) – Members from the Central Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) Team, with assistance from the Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a RIDE program on Neywash Street in Orillia, resulting in the impaired charges for a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) operator.

On Monday, January 12, at approximately 11:50 pm, TIME Team officers stopped a commercial motor vehicle during the RIDE program and determined the driver had consumed alcohol, contrary to zero-tolerance requirements for CMV operators. 

As a result of the investigation, David PALMER, 50-years old of Orillia, has been charged with:

• Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

• Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor

• Drive commercial vehicle – improper licence 

• Fail to carry complete daily inspection report 

The accused was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension, CMV operators’ suspension, and the CMV was impounded for seven days. 

The accused is schedule to attend court in Orillia on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, to answer to the charges.

Drug Bust – GREER, GREER & VERNON

(ORILLIA, ON) – The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police have arrested and charged three individuals after a search warrant was executed at a residence in the City of Orillia. Over 100 grams of suspected Cocaine, several suspected Hydromorphone pills, a quantity of suspected Fentanyl, a crossbow, and other replica weapons as a result of the warrant.

In November 2025, the Orillia Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) began an investigation into suspected drug trafficking occurring at an address near Albert Street South and Barrie Road in the City of Orillia. Through investigation, a warrant was issued and officers formed grounds for the arrest of several parties with relation to the drug trafficking.

On January 13, 2026, at approximately 5:30 am, officers of the Orillia CSCU, Muskoka CSCU, with assistance from the Orillia Offender Management Apprehension Program (OMAP) and Orillia Community Mobilization Unit (CMU) executed the warrant at the address. Three parties were arrested at the scene, and the above listed items were seized.

As a result of the investigation, several parties are facing charges under the Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

–      Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

–      Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid x2

–      Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000

–      Possessioin of Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition x3

–      Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose x2

–      Possession of Forged Document with Intent

Samantha VERNON (39) of Orillia, has been charged with the following:

–      Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

–      Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid x2

–      Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000

–      Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose x2

Both parties have been held in custody on today’s date to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice.

John GREER (63) of Orillia, has been charged with the following:

–      Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

This accused was released from custody and is to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia at a later date.

Hwy 21 Drunk Driver Charged

(KINCARDINE, ON) – On January 11, 2026, at approximately 8:17 p.m., a member of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was on general patrol along Highway 21 north of Kincardine, when they observed a vehicle leave the roadway and enter the ditch.

The investigating officer stopped to render assistance to the driver and detected signs of impairment. The driver was placed under arrest and taken to a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) for further testing.

Sheena GALLAGHER, 43-years-old, of no fixed address, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired, CC 320.14(1)(a)

The accused is set to appear at the Walkerton Ontario Court of Justice on March 11, 2026, to answer to the charge.

Heather BROWN -Assault With Weapon, Theft

(HALDIMAND COUNTY) – An individual was arrested following an assault investigation in Haldimand County.

On January 9, 2026, at approximately 12:55 p.m., members of the Haldimand detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of an assault on Argyle Street, Caledonia.

The investigation determined that two individuals were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated to a physical altercation.

Heather BROWN, 60-years-old of Caledonia has been charged with the following offences:

  • Assault With a Weapon
  • Theft Under $5000

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on March 3, 2026.
