70 Year Old Arrested For Drunk Driving

(OTONABEE-SOUTH MONAGHAN TOWNSHIP, ON) – Officers from the Peterborough County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged an individual with impaired driving after a vehicle ended up in the ditch.

On Tuesday January 20, 2026, just before 7:00pm, officers from the Peterborough County OPP detachment were on patrol on County Road 2 when they observed a vehicle off the roadway. A passerby told officers that the vehicle drove through the intersection straight into the ditch. 

Officers approached the vehicle and found the driver still in the vehicle. Officers assisted the driver in exiting the vehicle and after speaking with them, determined them to be impaired. Officers were also able to determine that the driver was Prohibited from driving at the time of the incident. The driver was arrested and transported to the Peterborough County OPP detachment for further testing.

Michael KESSEL (age 70) of North Frontenac Township, ON., was arrested and charged with;

• Operation while impaired

• Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80+)

• Operation while Prohibited under the Criminal Code – two counts

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on February 24, 2026.

The accused had their driver’s licence further suspended for 90-days, and their vehicle impounded for seven days.

Adam Lesnick – Assault

(THESSALON, ON) – The East Algoma Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to an off-ice disturbance at Thessalon’s arena Sunday afternoon.

On January 25, 2026, at approximately 3:15 p.m., officers were called to the arena on Main Street following reports of a disturbance in progress.

The investigation determined that an altercation involving adults, which indirectly involved two youths. During the incident, one person was physically assaulted.

As a result, Adam Lesnick, 46-years-old, of Johnson Township, was charged with assault.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on March 5, 2026.

Body Found At School

(BLIND RIVER, ON) – The East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) advised students and staff of École St. Joseph in Blind River that it was closed due an ongoing investigation.

On this date Monday January 26, 2026, at approximately 6:30 a.m., the OPP, Algoma Paramedic Services and the OPP’s Forensic Identification Services Unit responded to a report of a sudden death on the school’s property.   

A 41-year-old from Blind River was located deceased at that location. The East Algoma Crime Unit is continuing the investigation in collaboration with the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.

A post-mortem examination is expected to take place at a later date.

At this point in the investigation, foul play is not suspect and there is no threat to public safety.

Addison PETERS – Impaired Driving

(SARNIA, ON) – A traffic complaint has led to an individual being arrested for impaired driving.

On January 22, 2026, just after 7:00 p.m., the Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a possible impaired driver on Kimball Road in St. Clair Township.

Police located the involved vehicle on Plank Road in the City of Sarnia, where a traffic stop was initiated.

As a result of the investigation, Addison PETERS, a 19-year-old of Chatham, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on February 11, 2026, in Sarnia.

Kalob TEMPLE – Impaired Driving

(BRACEBRIDGE, ON) – The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged another driver with impaired after a collision in Bracebridge.

On January 19, 2026 at 9:00 p.m. Bracebridge OPP officers responded to a report from a member of the public about a single vehicle collision into a snowbank on Highway 118 at an on-ramp to Highway 11 North in Bracebridge. Officers arrived and subsequently arrested and charged 21-year-old Kalob TEMPLE of Orilia, ON with Impaired Operation, Over 80 and Novice Driver – B.A.C. above zero.

 He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on March 3, 2026 to answer to his charges.

Daniel CREIGHTON – Drunk Driving

(BECKWITH TWP, ON) – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Beckwith Township resident with impaired driving.

On Saturday, January 24, 2026, Lanark County OPP officers received a complaint of a possible impaired driver leaving a business in Carleton Place. Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop after observing the vehicle enter a driveway of a residence just before 7:45 p.m. in Beckwith Township.

The driver was arrested and transported to the OPP Detachment in Carleton Place for testing.

As a result of the investigation, Daniel CREIGHTON, 73-years-old, has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

·        Obstruct a peace officer

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, March 2, 2026.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Karen McCORMICK – Drunk Stunt Driving

(MISSISSIPPI MILLS TWP, ON) – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Beckwith Township resident with impaired driving.

On Saturday, January 24, 2026, Lanark County OPP officers observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on March Road. Officers conducted a traffic stop just before 2:00 a.m. in Mississippi Mills Township.

The driver was arrested and transported to the OPP Detachment in Carleton Place for testing.

As a result of the investigation, Karen McCORMICK, 45-years-old, has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

·        Stunt driving -excessive speed

·        Speeding 50+ Km/h over posted limit

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, March 2, 2026.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Thomas MCREGOR – Drunk Driving

(HAWKESBURY, ON) – Members of the Hawkesbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested a motorist for impaired driving.

On Saturday, January 24, at approximately 12:35 a.m., officers observed a vehicle travelling westbound on Lansdowne Street in the town of Hawkesbury. Officers stopped the vehicle shortly after. During the investigation an approved screening device (ASD) was utilized, and the driver was transported to detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, 63-year-old Thomas MCREGOR, of Hawkesbury was charged under the Criminal Code with: 

• Operation while impaired – alcohol

• Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The motorist received a 90-day driver’s licence suspension, and their vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal on Wednesday, February 11, 2026.

Drug & Weapon Bust

(MARKDLAE, ON) Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged five individuals following a drug trafficking investigation that began in the fall of 2025. The investigation focused on a residence on Wellington Street in Markdale, within the Municipality of Grey Highlands.

On January 16, 2026, at approximately 5:42 a.m., members of the OPP Tactics and RescueUnit (TRU), Emergency Response Team (ERT), and the OPP Canine Unit executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at the residence. Several individuals were located inside and arrested without incident.

Members of the Grey Bruce Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), with assistance from Huron Perth CSCU and Wellington CSCU, conducted a search of the residence. Officers seized controlled substances with an approximate potential street value of $15,000, approximately $3,000 in Canadian currency, and recovered suspected stolen property valued at approximately $30,000.

Officers seized the following controlled substances:

  • Approximately 77 grams of suspected fentanyl
  • Approximately 40 grams of suspected cocaine
  • Approximately 29 grams of suspected methamphetamine
  • Multiple suspected ecstasy pills
  • Multiple suspected 5 mg oxycodone pills
  • Multiple suspected clonazepam pills

The following persons were charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) and the Criminal Code (CC):

(LEAMINGTON, ON) – A driver has been charged following a collision in Leamington.

 At approximately 4:39 a.m. on January 25, 2026, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a collision on Erie Street South at Seacliff Drive in the Municipality of Leamington.

Karen HARRIS, 58-years-old of Leamington was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code, Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act and Highway Traffic act offences:

  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand
  • Driver failure to surrender licence
  • Fail to have insurance card
  • Failure to yield to traffic on through highway

The accused was scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Windsor on March 11, 2026, to answer to the charges.

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated for both drivers as per statute.

Drug Bust – Cory DULEMBA, Jonathan PARSONS & Rigoberto SOLANO

(MIDDLESEX COUNTY, ON) – Search warrant executed in Middlesex and Huron Counties as well as the City of London results in drug related charges.

On January 22, 2026, members of the Elgin-Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), OPP Canine (K9), OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), Middlesex County OPP and LPS Emergency Response Unit (ERU), executed search warrants at an address on Oriole Drive in the City of London, William Street in Lucan, and Shoreline Drive, Bluewater Highway and Redford Drive, all of Huron County.

CSCU members seized illicit drugs, suspected to be cocaine, ecstasy and hydromorphone, as well as two replica firearms, ammunition and a large sum of Canadian currency.

Cory DULEMBA, a 47-year-old of Dashwood, has been charged under the Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with:

  • Poss of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000 – in Canada
  • Poss of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

Jonathan PARSONS, a 41-year-old of Lucan, has been charged under the Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with:

  • Failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court
  • Poss of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Poss of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-Opioid (other than heroin)

Rigoberto SOLANO, a 33-year-old of London, has been charged under the Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with:

  • Poss of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000 – in Canada
  • Poss of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Poss of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-Opioid (other than heroin)

Cory DULEMBA, Jonanthan PARSONS and Rigoberto SOLANO were held for bail.

Deborah OHAGAN, a 73-year-old of Exeter, has been charged under the Criminal Code with and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act:

  • Poss of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000 – in Canada
  • Poss of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

A 70-year-old of Lucan, has been charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act:

  • Poss of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

Deborah OHAGAN and the accused 70-year-old of Lucan have been released from police custody and are scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in London on February 27, 2026, to speak to the charges.

On January 24, 2026, at approximately 1:20 a.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a traffic complaint on Lakeshore Road 113 near County Road 42 in the Municipality of Lakeshore.

(TECUMSEH, ON) – One person has been charged following a traffic stop in Tecumseh.

On January 24, 2026, at approximately 1:26 a.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a vehicle stop on Highway 3 at Walker Road in the Town of Tecumseh.

David SPENCE, 49-years-old of Harrow was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offence:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Windsor on March 6, 2026, to answer to the charges.

Alan DIDUCH, Kyle RINAS & Girard KELLY – Impaired Driving

(PETAWAWA, ON) – Members of the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to several traffic complaints in the Town of Petawawa which resulted in three people being charged. 

On Sunday January 18, shortly before 10:00 p.m., UOV officers located a vehicle involved in a traffic complaint in the Town of Petawawa. As a result of the investigation, 44-year-old Alan DIDUCH of Petawawa was charged with the following offences:

·      Operation while impaired – drugs

·      Failure or refusal to comply with demand.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on February 17, 2026.

On Saturday January 24, shortly after 2:00 a.m., UOV officers responded to another traffic complaint in the Town of Petawawa and after locating the vehicle and completing their investigation, 26-year-old Kyle RINAS of Petawawa was charged with the following offences:

·        Operation while impaired – alcohol

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80mg plus

An additional traffic complaint was received on January 24 in the Town of Petawawa at approximately 7:30 p.m., which resulted in 67-year-old Girard KELLY of Petawawa being charged with the following offences:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80mg plus

Both accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on February 24, 2026. 

All three accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and two of the vehicles were towed and impounded for 14 days.

Andrew HAWKE Arrested For Arson

(PENETANGUISHENE, ON) The Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has arrested a suspect in relation to the ongoing investigation into a suspicious fire at a multi‑unit residential dwelling on Poyntz Street in Penetanguishene.

On the afternoon of January 23, 2026, a uniform member was conducting patrol duties in the Town of Midland when the suspect was located outside a County Road 93 shopping centre. He was arrested without incident.

As a result of the investigation, Andrew HAWKE, 43 years of Penetanguishene, has been charged under the Criminal Code with the following charges:

  • Arson – Disregard for Human Life
  • Arson – Damage to Property

HAWKE was held in custody pending a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice, which is scheduled to take place on January 24, 2026.
